Setting a Different Lock Screen Wallpaper - OnePlus 8 Pro Questions & Answers

So I've found a KLWP "live" wallpaper that I ended up really liking, however it is a rather light theme. As a result, it's changed the lock screen to be white.
I would like to be able to set the lockscreen to a different, darker image. Is this possible with the OnePlus 8?

Nevermind, found a solution:
Step 1: Install Kustom Live Wallpaper (KLWP)
Step 2: In the "Background" tab, set a background image for your home screen.
Step 3: In the "Layer" tab, set visible to "Always"
Step 4: In the "Items" tab, add a new Shape.*
Step 5: Set the size of the shape to the height of the view (should be 1280).
Step 6: In the "FX" tab in the shape, set Texture to "Bitmap" and select a background image for your lock screen.
Step 7: Add an animation in the "Animation" tab in the shape.
Step 8: Set ReactOn to "Unlock", set Action to "Fade In" and set Duration to 3.

I use Zedge for mine. Then just uninstall it

HDWall Trouble

In trying to use HDWall to get a new background and I'm running into some issues.
Attached is a screenshot of what's happening, as well as the image and its proper placement behind the programs of the start menu, and the original jpg.
I also read the HDWall walkthrough and followed that step-by-step and still no change.
If you notice, the background does not extend all the way behind the slider but instead stops far above it. The image also does not extend to the far right edge. If you notice screenshot1.jpg there is a black space behind the mail icons in Sense.
Here is the process I'm going through in HDWall on my desktop:
1. Drag image into HDWall
2. Press Auto Crop and Resize
3. Apply
4. Close
5. Choose output directory as my desktop
6. Create cab
7. I mark the checkbox stating, "Include Portrait Wallpaper"
8. Press Convert and wait
9. Press Create Cab
10. Move cab onto storage card, install, then soft reset.
That's exactly step for step and I'm using wallpapers from santod's pack as well.
I've tried this about 20 times with a variety of wallpapers and they all seem to stop way short of the slider and never extend all the way down or to the far right.
I am running a custom ROM with a transparent slider cab as well if that matters at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sense Backgrounds

When I change "scenes" on my Incredible it will either keep changing to the default Sense background, or it stays as the same background I had on the previous scene instead of changing to the one I saved. When I hit "menu/wallpaper" and select a photo, it says the photo has been made as my wallpaper but the background doesn't change.
Anybody else having this problem or have any suggestions for fixing it?
Here's what I have:
Using a preset scene
Your phone features preset scenes, each preconfigured with a different wallpaper and collection of widgets that reflect different moments in your life. You can choose a scene that is suitable for work, play, travel, or your social life.
Press HOME > MENU, and then tap Scenes.
In the Choose a scene menu, select a preset scene and then tap Done.
Customizing and saving a scene
After selecting a preset scene, you can add widgets and other elements, arrange the layout, change the wallpaper, and save the whole Home screen as your personalized scene.
Press HOME > MENU, and then tap Scenes.
In the Choose a scene menu, select a preset scene that already has some widgets, or select Clean Slate if you want to design your own Home screen.
Add widgets and other elements that you want.
Arrange the layout of your Home screen according to your preference.
Change the Home screen wallpaper. You can also change the lock screen wallpaper.
When you are done designing your Home screen, press HOME > MENU and then tap Scenes again.
Under My scenes, make sure the Current (unsaved) option is selected and then tap Save.
Enter a new scene name for your Home screen and then tap Done. Or, if you already created a scene, enter the same scene name, tap Done and then tap Replace.
Yeah, I know and am able to do all of that. Let's say, for example, I have a scene I have arranged the way I'd like and have saved it as "Beats." I would now like to change to a different scene I've saved called "jG." I change the background to "jG" by choosing a photo from my albums....then I save that scene again. Now I want to switch back to "Beats" - but when I do, the background will either remain the same as it was on "jG" or it will be the blurry rainbow default background you see on all the HTC Sense UI homescreens. When I try to change the background from there, it says the newly selected picture has been changed and set as my wallpaper, but the wallpaper doesn't change.
Have you tried creating your custom scenes from the blank slate option? Then chose them and see if it works.
I just had to reboot the phone and it seems to be working fine now. Thanks!

Lockscreen wallpaper not showing correctly...

I need some help with my custom lockscreen wallpaper (see wallpaper below) which is not showing correctly. It looks compressed (or is it banding?).
First this is how I select my lockscreen wallpaper:
I use the mail app (setup with Yahoo Mail) to download the image (a 36 bit png file). When I view the image (which looks great at this stage) I select "use as wallpaper" from the options menu. The image then shows up in a crop box (which now looks compressed) and select the check mark (crop). When I press the lock and unlock button the wallpaper looks fantastic. But the moment I go to the start screen then pess the lock and unlock button the wallpaper looks compressed (again maybe banding?).
What is weird is that when I open the Pictures, Marketplace, or Music and Video apps, and then lock and unlock the phone the wallpaper looks great again.
What am I doing wrong? Is the image too large? Is it because the image is 36 bit? Or is it some bug in the phone? Please help me. It's driving me crazy...

No Galaxy Labs in Nougat/ would like lower app bar 'gone', invisible icon work-around

So I've looked around for some time for a reasonable method to install Galaxy Labs on my rooted 8+ Galaxy S7 SM-G930, now a '955F' after the 8+ rom install. This rom works very smoothly so far.
Not finding a simple method, I hope someone comes up with one though (?), I went with a simple invisible icon method I've been using for some years for other phones.
The process is pretty simple:
1. Download IconChanger - free on Google Play store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jy.iconchanger.ad&hl=en
2. Make a 1 pixel x 1 pixel, 72 dpi, transparent gif, and label it something like 'blank.gif' and get it into your phone downloads (SD card) directory.
3. Open up Icon Changer, tap the center of the screen and it will take you to the Applications screen of apps you have installed on your phone.
4. Select the app you wish to make a new icon. The screen will update to the apps icon at the top of the page. Select "Change" and navigate to where you stored the blank.gif. Select that .gif
5. The screen will update, any on my phone it is a white screen. You will not see your transparent gif. Select 'Crop' at the top right of the screen. The page will update back to the initial Icon/Title screen, and you will notice that the icon is transparent, looking like a white and gray checker board. See photo 1 below.
6. Select the title, and if you wish to have a visible title for the Icon, type in what you wish. If you wish no visible title, delete out the text. Press OK at the top right and the icon will take a few seconds to be created and placed on your home screen.
The third image has the transparent icons, in the same place as the original screen shot.
Tip: It will help if you have your home screen and it's next over screen generally filled up with icons at the beginning of this process, leaving several blank rows at the top of one of those screens, the new icon will likely be placed at the top left corner of that, or one of those pages. You can select and place it as you wish. If your home screen and other pages are largely empty, it make take you a bit to hunt and peck to find your icon.
Additionally, a 1 x 1, 72 dpi pixel size icon is very small. Unless you really expand it in a photo editor, you will not 'see' it.
