As the screen is not as black than the edges, the blacks in the images are not very Deep.

Dark Scenes on shows like The Queen's Gambit look awful, the fact that it doesn't support HDR on Netflix might be a reason but I've seen the issue on youtube videos aswell. This has been a major issue for me, I've compared againts my LG G7 and S20+ from my friend, those phones don't have the issue.

It's great for an LCD but obviously can't beat OLED's black.
Probably the best blacks out of any IPS I've ever seen in person, or used before.
GSMArena also measured 0.3 nits blacks on max normal, and 0.31 on max vivid mode, which is very VERY good, and probably top 3 LCD panels they've tested for black levels.

Never compare it to a SAMOLED display.
True black is impossible for LCDs, but the P20 Lite's display does not seem inferior in any ways compared to an iPhone.
Also, SAMOLEDs will burn and blotch. Even Galaxy S8s are starting to burn by this time ..

Careful where you buy it from, there are mi mix 3 phones with replaced screen (cracked glass in the past) that use LCD technology, hard to notice if you're not in a dim room.

I think the display is pretty adamn good, the blacks are really deep and for a while i believed it was amoled, when yo hide the notch you really dont see the grey stuff , its like all black. I liked it

I am using this device(Indian Version called Mi 10i) since last 2 days
The black levels are good for an IPS LCD screen, but not as good as the True Blacks on a Super Amoled screen.
