How to enable copy file into phone directory?

I understand that I can copy file from SD Card to phone directory with Astro File Manager but I have downloaded Version 2.5.2 which comes with ads and there is no option which I can enable the permission to copy file to phone directory.
Can anyone advise me whether what file manager can perform this function as I tried to find Astro Pro in the Android Market but cannot find.
Please advise me, thanks.

Rooted, but ad hoc instructions don't work

Hi i rooted using the gingerbread hack from the acer iconia a500 thread regarding root. Superuser was granted. I installed ES Explorer . . . I was able to copy original supplicant from system/bin to another folder and renamed it wpa_supplicant.old. Then, I unzipped the xoom supplicant using ES Explorer then renamed it wpa_supplicant. However, when I try to paste the file into system/bin ES Explorer won't allow it.
Please help!

Use root explorer. It worked for me.
first please dont bump your thread its annoying i promise someone will get to you. secondly your problem is in es file explorer in the settings their is an option called "Root options" in their you need to tick "Root Explorer" and then tik "Mount File System"
it then allows you to write to the bin folder i think. if not then im affraid youll have to use root explorer

[DUPLICATE] Help: Unable to change file permissions

@Moderators: Pls delete. I have recreated this in the appropriate forum over here.
I have an Unlocked device. I just flashed C185B190 on my NXT-L29. Attempting to fix the theme issue faced by others here.
As suggested by that thread, I tried Root Explorer (Paid) allowing Root access.
However when I try to change the permissions of a file or folder, I get the following error
"Permissions change was not successful. Please note that some file systems do not allow permission changes."
Is this a case of my SuperSU not being the right one? I used SuperSU from over here.
If this is the issue, can someone share the link to the correct version of SuperSU.
If not, then what is the issue? I have been searching for over 3 hours to find a fix for this.

Need help with bootloop

I edited the platform.xml file to try to get read/write permission for the sd card, but I managed to mess up the platform.xml file. Now, the tablet bootloops a couple of times, then goes into TWRP. I'm trying to figure out how to fix or replace the platform.xml file. When I use the file manager in TWRP, I can't find the platform.xml file. It's supposed to be in /system/etc/permissions/platform.xml but that location doesn't exit. Does anybody have a suggestion about how to get this fixed? Source files or just a clean platform.xml file would probably do the trick.
Any suggestions appreciated.
================================
edit: Never mind: I found the file and used TWRP file manager to fix it.
