@Moderators: Pls delete. I have recreated this in the appropriate forum over here.
I have an Unlocked device. I just flashed C185B190 on my NXT-L29. Attempting to fix the theme issue faced by others here.
As suggested by that thread, I tried Root Explorer (Paid) allowing Root access.
However when I try to change the permissions of a file or folder, I get the following error
"Permissions change was not successful. Please note that some file systems do not allow permission changes."
Is this a case of my SuperSU not being the right one? I used SuperSU from over here.
If this is the issue, can someone share the link to the correct version of SuperSU.
If not, then what is the issue? I have been searching for over 3 hours to find a fix for this.

Can anyone give me a walkthrough on how to install readers hub on a US Sprint Tab? I just got the Tab and I have searched and searched the forums, but I cannot find a walkthrough, or a guide and I don't want to brick or mess up my tab. Here's what I have done so far;
1. I have downloaded the readers hub file and have extracted it. I tried to download the zinio file, but for some reason it wouldn't fully download saying the file is not supported or something of the sort. It was in .rar.
2. I installed Root explorer, apk installer, and Andro Zip.
3. I tried copying the extracted file to the system/apps folder, but it wont let me. Either the entire folder, or the apk files one by one. Can someone please tell me how to do this? I really want this app and I have been trying to find a guide for a couple of days now. Thanks.
I have an A501 with 3.01 (Acer_A501_1.037.03_PA_ATT) The OTA update downloaded but I did not install it yet as I don't want to lose root. I can't find the update but I would like to back up the file if possible. I tried doing a file search but with one of the file manager apps but it got into a loop on a recursive symlink.
Some questions:
1. Where do I find the update (it is not in the cache directory)
2. Is there a good file explorer that can deal with recursion
- or do I have a corrupt file system?
Here's an example:
/sys/dev/block/7:0/bdi/subsystem/7:0/subsystem/7:0/subsystem/7:0/subsystem etc
Found It
Just in case you didnt find it, I used root explorer and it was in the cache folder long numbers.zip
There is a process to use it to update your tab.. I however forgot all of the steps..
i know you have to decrypt it. pull the update.zip out remove the boot loader.blob file.. This is not intended to be instructions just a guide as to what you can look for to find the information to do so .
Sorry i could not find the tread explaining this..
I edited the platform.xml file to try to get read/write permission for the sd card, but I managed to mess up the platform.xml file. Now, the tablet bootloops a couple of times, then goes into TWRP. I'm trying to figure out how to fix or replace the platform.xml file. When I use the file manager in TWRP, I can't find the platform.xml file. It's supposed to be in /system/etc/permissions/platform.xml but that location doesn't exit. Does anybody have a suggestion about how to get this fixed? Source files or just a clean platform.xml file would probably do the trick.
Any suggestions appreciated.

edit: Never mind: I found the file and used TWRP file manager to fix it.

I'm on the latest up, unlocked and rooted. I've followed sugestions found here. I've tried twrp, root file explorer, root explorer, total commander and x-plore. I just can't seem to replace it. The closeest has been root file explorer. It states that it was successful but it always returns to default. Help please
