Boots perfectly, charging speeds are perfect.
Notch space does not work very well and takes up space in several full screen apps. Any way to fix it or is it part of the rom?

SMA105F/DS : Works
Android 10
EDIT : MY BAD IT WAS A MISTAKE A DID

Has an audio visualizer in lock screen
No bloatware
Battery holds up to 12 Hrs
{ 3 hours - 66%
5 hours - 42%
8 hours - 26%
10 hours - 12%
12 hours - 1%
}
You should have an approximate or even better, My phone has half a year now.
Cons:
Lack of support for face recognition
Camera app preloaded is broken
Notch and Corners aren't normally aligned
Some Memory leaks and often crashes with GameGuardian(use ex kernel manager and enable zswap [check an yt vid])
The OS can corrupt at any moment randomly and redirect you to the bootloader
My Signal is weaker for some reason
{NEW}
Bluetooth signal is weaker
Speaker problems(to fix disable audio equalizer)
When using the preloaded camera app and flash it will crash after taking a picture
Some games will just crash while they are trying to load in
Developer options dont appear even after you enable them
The Preloaded browser is dog****, crashes and bad support with html5
And many more I'll find later on
Please thank me if you found anything usefull.
If you are willing to use it, you will have to take risks and accept the problems it has.
I came from the A20 forum to see this ROM but this thread seems dead, Is no one interested in custom ROMs here ? I though there'd be full comments and questions about this ROM.
I just wanted to know if it possible to make a ROM like this for the Galaxy A20 or maybe even port this one ?
@Geckyn
Great rom! Could you please fix navigation gestures and night light?

I tried on a105m, camera app preloaded worked with no problem here, so far no reboots to bootloader... Memory leaks are so much worse in GSI Roms, at least thats what i felt using Havoc OS and Bliss Rom. For me is this or go back to Stock

Same. Just saying some problems I had with A105F/DS since 2GB isn't enough for GG and a game ig
working 100% on a105fn, but when i turn off my phone and plug in charger it will froze on charging screen and only power button + volume down helps, btw why are there no gestures ect like in normal android 10?
Hello. I installed version 20200813 on my A105M device, and apparently everything is working.
The exception is the recognition of my SD Card. I can't use it in the rom, although it works normally in TWRP.
Me SD is in exfat.

Pros
Thanks
Cons
1. Not a default feature in los 17 and many others
2. ??
3. Okay will see about that
4. How do you know its a memory leak? and probably not necessarily a specific ROM issue
5. Nope Os doesn’t corrupt and reboot to bootloader unless you messed with it
6. Sadly most A series users report weak signal something that may be related to the device itself not just this ROM or a10
7. And many more lol

Thats the sad part of life...those really want something may not even get it whilst those who have may not exactly be interested. The response here is pretty discouraging but I understand that it may be a small community.
Is it possible ? Absolutely ...its all about time

We recommend you to take the advice above regardless.
halogenOS Checklist
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another rom:
Please take a full nandroid backup!
Please copy your back up to an external device.
Backing up your Internal Storage is also recommended.
When completed, please clean flash the build!
Although you usually can dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM has the same Android version, it is not guaranteed. In case of serious
crashes please do a clean flash.
If you get app crashes after dirty flashing over XOS 6 or another ROM, please just
clear the app data of those apps, and it should work fine then.
XOS is a new generation cutting-edge OS for Android based on Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from CodeAuroraForums (CAF),
featuring only extremely minor set of components from CyanogenMod (CM) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.
Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the CodeAuroraForums (CAF), the CyanogenMod
organization and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,

Known issues:
None at all
The ROM is super stable as of now and we'll maintain a clean and proper ROM.
Planned features (don't ask for these!):
Button actions
Highlights:
Reworked Lockscreen Visualizer
Modern Services -> Google Assistant etc.
Substratum (OMS7)
Full media support (FFMPEG, video codecs, ...)
Great Audio quality, no distortions, no crap
Optimized many portions of the system including surfaceflinger, inputflinger, System Server, and more
Super fast boot
Superuser-capable
Great battery life
Soundmod support (not all soundmods work on Nougat, it's not our fault)
addon.d support (backups your gapps etc. when flashing new build - don't wipe system before flashing!)
init.d support
BusyBox
Super smooth
Signature Spoofing toggle (Support for MicroG)
Support for trusted third-party WebViews like Chrome
Long press on home for assist toggle
Security Patches in kernel
KCAL support
Kernel optimizations
OpenGapps (Mini/Micro/Nano recommended) and Banks GApps support
Dexpreopt for faster (first) boot time and less space consumption on data partition
Upgrade & Boot the ROM in just 5 minutes - no more endless waiting for flashing a new build
Very high compatibility with other ROMs
How to update the ROM:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Do not wipe anything
Flash the ROM
Optional : Flash GApps and/or SuperSU
Reboot
You don't need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You don't need to flash gapps again. There is some magic going on which keeps your GApps. Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
You don't need more than 5 minutes.

VoLTE? Nope, not a chance. I prefer battery life over freebies.
Updates
Updates will be released on the halogenOS telegram channel linked in the OP. I may or may not be able to monitor the thread actively, ping me on Twitter or on Telegram for any queries if they remain unanswered here.
FAQ
Q Why you no 7.1?
A CAF will not release 7.1 as Google has discouraged OEMs to use it as well, so we need to wait. The update for 7.1.1 is just round the corner though, but again, CAF takes some time after Google's release so it may be a month or so before you get the 7.1.1 update in halogenOS.
Q August Security patch? You ****ting me right?
A Again, CAF. CAF hasn't been really proactive with merging them and merging even one month's patches is a massive pain that we'd better leave up to the more experienced people at CAF.
7.1.1 and December Security patch baby!

Hello thanks for the time developing it, I've few question
I've XT1650-03 Canadian version, bootloader unlocked, TWRP, running nougat 7 stock with Moto mod additional battery.
Your rom will work ? what about the BROKEN Moto mods ? obviously full wipe ? it is rooted ? Full or systemless ?
Will this work with @erfanoabdi Turbo Z kernel? Also, what exactly do you mean with "snap broken", what is that? THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK, GUYS.

3 questions
Wait can we try this multi ROM?
And how do you get the unencrypted bootloader?
What kernel are we supposed to use for this?
@vache
so far no reboots or something else. everything seems to be working for now.
tomorrow i will test BT and other things. if i found an issue i will let you know.
thx
keep up the fantastic work.
tested substranum, and it works too. ?
Works flawless, battery mod works for charging the phone, but when connected to turbo charger, it won't charge the mod, even when the battery is 100%. Would be awesome if this could be fixed later, not to manage charge like in motoMods app, but only the hability to recharge the mod when it's attached to the phone... Because I won't be going back to stock anytime soon...
It says my sd card is corrupt and needs to be formatted. Twrp and going back to stock and they are able to read the micro sd fine. It is a 64gb sandisk formatted fat32.
Wait so what recovery are we supposed to use for this? And please answer my other questions, it's important. Where do we find the most recently updated TWRP build?

1: ?
2: there's not such thing as an unencrypted bootloader, its an unlocked bootloader, and you unlock it by requesting the unlock key from Motorola. If you meant unencrypted ROM instead, you get that by formatting your internal storage and flashing a kernel that works with encryption off.
3; Use the one included in the ROM, there's no need to flash any other kernel.
PS.: if you flash Turbo Z kernel, at least the newest version, will break WiFi.
Tried multi ROM and it says I need to enable the no kexec hardboot kernel OR enable to workaround in recovery and I enabled it in recovery but it's still not working.

Thanks for your work on this, OP.
Just flashed and get problem with GSM. Cant get my phone fixed in any provider.
If I look under power panel, seems android is enabling and disabling airplane mode constantly.
And under notifications panel, it goes from "emergency calls only" to "no service" constantly.
PS: the phone goes so hot....

Hi, i'm using your rom. It works very well but it seems i have a kind of battery drain. Also, is there a way to put screen off when device charging and shutted down (actually it shows battery charging icon and black "on")

I'll take a look at the battery drain, as the the charging indicator thing fixing that is probably beyond my abilities I'm afraid.

where is the 19.5 magisk that you put in the post? I give it to download and I only see the maximum 19.4 that by the way, causes bootloops and sometimes does not pass from the bootlogo and gets stuck there, for the moment the rom cannot be rooted, and for me that is vital to use viper4android, I hope be solved soon since I'm not going back to android 9 and I need to have the operative phone (and for those who ask, yes, I am aware that this rom is still an inconsistent beta, but I am also an anxious and impatient xD)
He doesn't give a link, he just says magisk 19.5 works with this beta build.

ok, forget everything I said, apparently with the latest version of TWRP the rom does not work if you flash magisk, but with batik recovery I have installed everything and it seems that it will work fine, sorry for the inconvenience
works excellent dev, thanks a lot for this, few minor bugs that i find inconsequential, magisk works fine, rom is super fluid too. thnks again, bye bye pie

magisk manager that is required to work with this:

Update: magisk superuser works but modules dont seem to be working, might be an issue with unstable magisk rather than rom
I agree, it's a great news to see Android 10 roms for santoni.
Other will come.
As soon as goodix FP will be fixed, I'll install one of those. Thanks to all devs for their excellent work !!
Edit: I have added magisk beta 19.5 link. ( I forgot about it lol ?)
Thanks a lot sir!
My device sources are public, and anyone can use it to build Q roms. Check the pinned repos https://github.com/bionicBUG
Thanks for the port!
Could you please add link to the pico gapps? On the opengapps I do not see build for android 10.
Edit: added gapps link. Bitgapps is recommended
Little santoni continues to live on? What a nice surprise. Will try soon
I wiped phone and flashed rom. OrangeFox says, that no OS is installed. Phone does not boot, I have bootloop in MI logo.
EDIT - phone booted after second reboot.
1) As I checked I have FDE fingerprint, but I do not see option to lock screen via fingerprint
2) Is there possibility to remove google searchbar from main screen?
how istall gapps ? on site showing only for pie

here is for android 10
Seems to be working fine. I have some suggestions and issues:
1) Launcher with possibility to change icons. Something light, remember KISS
2) More options to personalize top bar - battery in percentage.
3) Possibility to put setting shortcut in top bar on the right top corner - to not have to open all panel to enter settings
4) Editable actions for phone touch buttons
5) Light widget that includes clock, alarm clock, date and weather - Havoc rom uses, I think thats good example.
6) Select default action after connection of USB - for example file transfer
7) SMS app, Contacts and Clock does not support dark mode
8) Gmail should have option to enable dark mode in android Q, I do not see that option in app downloaded from playstore https://gsuiteupdates.googleblog.com/2019/09/dark-theme-android-ios.html
9) Support for setting notifications LED
10) Add information about charging speed. Add QC support if it is not added yet - Havoc supports it for sure.
Thank you for port
I know that it's an initial build, but I just want to share some bugs I found (Mostly common bugs for Android 10 on Santoni. I've seen them on GSI, too)
Bugs:
1) "Internal error" after reboot (Doesn't affect anything)
2) Google Chrome newer than version 74 is unusable (Every version - Stable, Beta, Dev, Canary). This bug was also presented in Erfan's GSI, i've been told that it's vendor side issue (One guy fixed it after adding DRM 1.2 (clearkey) commits).
3) "Digital Wellbeing" is crashing,
4) Google Camera lower than version 6 can't finish processing the shot (Until you kill app because it's still wasting resources). It saving shot anyway, tho. Google Camera 6 processing shots fine, but in those versions video recording is broken on Santoni.
5) Yeah, goodix
6) Need to disable Bluetooth calling in Bluetooth device settings, otherways device is start lagging when connected (Need confirmation. Haven't tested yet, but it's common Android 10 bug).
On the bright side this ROM (And ArrowOS) is loading and working faster than GSI.
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12L (Sv2), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Githup repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Because our old kernel is not optimized for A12 and higher, I think all official support has ended and will not be resumed in any way. End of life basically, even though unofficial ROMs keep coming.

The 3.18 with a specific patch is compatible for A12 as Astrid has mentioned earlier.
The problem is the concentration of maintaining power, Mike has been so busy to continue maintaining the Kuntao. If Astrid is able to pick the responsibility, he will at least be able to make Kuntao updated with the LOS 18.1 as before, with the regular patches/security bumps and fixes.

Thanks for the FYI! I thought the LOS team dropped official support for a lot of devices because most could not make it past A11. Only some, like P2 and A5 2017, are able to bypass the system requirements.
Amazing if LOS 18.1 could be kept updated. It is after all the most stable ROM and should hence be prioritized. Crossing my fingers!

Would you please let me know where I can find that fix? Is there a git repo/tree hosting it?

Try reach out to @Astridxx through Telegram.
I'd be happy just for quarterly or - stretching it - even half-yearly updates.
Top! I use it as my main phone.
Daily driver.
Google pay working, everything seems fine and bugless.
No battery drain, seems better than in Los 18.
Absolute masterpiece
Pls make a port for Lenovo tab 3 8" plus. Same Snapdragon 625
@Astridxx Any plans on LOS20? Just an initial build like this one?
