hello guys so after i did a factory reset on my oneplus 6t my microphone is no longer working when i try to record something the result its just a bip and noise sounds and for call my speaker (ear speaker) the sound is so noisy and low and i cant volume up or down with the buttons is just locked , i try to downgrade from oxygenOS 10.3.4 to oxygenOS 9 but no difference :crying: :crying:
so guys please i need your help to solve this problems
its a hardware or softwar problem ??

OK, try the omega kernel and, nolimits 11.7. Make sure to un check kernel mods in the nolimits profile. Hopefully this solution solves for you

so If I understood correctly after i root my phone i instal omega kernel and nolimits 11.7 i instal the bot of them from recovry mode ??

Hopefully you confirmed as I mentioned to you in another thread. If if is not a hardware issue then, yes. You can install via the kernel via one of the two recommended playstore apps. I personally flash via twrp on this device when flashing a kernel. No limits can be installed via Magisk. This is a thread specially for the music lovers like me. Many of its have been wandering that how to make viper work on android lollipop, and today I finally found a way out and it will take just a couple of minutes to make viper work on your device.
**Procedure**
1. Install busy box on your device. (If installed skip this step)
2. Download 'SELinux Mode Changer' from playstore and give it root permissions.
3. Now change the SELinux mode to 'Permissive' .
4. Install viper(I used v2.3.3.0) and it's drivers.
Now reboot and enjoy the music.

I used the aame process when I was in Brazilian soak test version and it worked perfectly not only for me but also for my couple if friends

I had similar issue.
What worked for me was to change the SELinux policy as suggested in this post and then flashing LolliViPER_v2.3.3.0.zip from the below link..

Do remove the drivers and application before flashing the zip..

I followed your tutorial, but still can't install viper drivers. Can you help me? I'm using SuperSU 2.40 flashed from philz touch. And Android 5.0.1 GPE
This works, but it breaks phone volume for me. People can hear me, but I cannot hear them.

I wonder, on lollipop viper only works with music app....
But on kitkat viper works not only with music player, but also with youtube, video player, even with phone call ringtone and keyboard sound...

yes it's working for my XT1033 5.0.2

Make sure you had backup your stock 5.0.2 build.prop because after install viper you will lost your signal
so, restore your stock build.prop and reboot

How exactly you install ? How did you test the sound actually ? What DSP are working as they say a lot like SRS, Viper, Dolby etc., ? Which kernel you are using ? I am new (was away for long time) so dont know where to test those settings.

i flashed it via twrp recovery, am on latest MM 6.0.1, v4a working fine, only problem is that microphone does not work during phone calls, i removed the mod.

I see. Can you tell me how to enable and test Dolby, SRS effects in these mods ? There is another mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...d-kitakami-sound-mod-prototype-t3361092/page7 which I'm using now and works good (v4a by installing the lollipop version and system defaults), but no idea about SRS, Dolby effects as i did not get any of those apps after installing the mod. Do you have any idea ?

hhmmm i am using this also, since the one that i linked have a microphone issue on the z3+, i dont really know how to unable those, since that in the zip file, there are no such "apps" apart from v4a for effects and a customized sound enhancement app.

Hey everyone! I am new here and not really experienced, that's why i really need your help with the following:
I've rooted my device with TWRP & Magisk (by following this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbFDv8Ii7PM)
Everything went smooth without any problems.
After that I tried to install Viper4android and that's where the trouble starts.
(I followed this guide to install Viper4android: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/how-to/root-install-viper-android-galaxy-s8-s8-t3596933)
Now I do have it installed but any media sounds do not work at all on any app with or without headphones.
Rebooting or factory resetting does nothing.
My guess that it's something with audio_effects.conf or soundAlive_51 but can't know for sure.
Please help a desperate soul out :fingers-crossed:
Edit1: Interesting... media sounds works if i listen to music via chrome for example, also it seems that it works with games and audio files that are locally on the device, so basically sound doesnt work with youtube and spotify (the ones that actually matter) help?

I'm having the same issue I think. Tried to flash viper, but it didn't work, so I re-enabled soundalive. It has been working fine for several weeks, but suddenly media sounds have stopped. I still get text message alerts etc, but no sound using youtube, or VLC media player playing local files. If you find a solution, please post it.

Then delete your currently installed version, also delete any viper mods from magisk.
Reboot then flash this

Maybe because he tested it already on aex 5.8 which obviously worked since it's in the procedure and haven't tested it on other treble roms.

yes u can just restore..cos the back up contain rom aospextened... you can try with other rom as vendor but the best result on aospe xtended.. try other rom aosp fp not working...

for the best sound if you want use dolby u must turn of sony equaliser from sony music >setting... and if you want use sony equalizer u must turn of dolby

You misunderstood his question.
Sounds good is an expression for seems nice, looks good etc.
He asked if there are any known bugs, problems, faults etc. with this ROM.
I'm facing real low sound record using this rom, on stock rom the mic was fine, but on this custom rom the recorded sounds are too low, especially using whatsapp and other apps. I'm trying to mess a little bit with the mixer_paths.xml but i can't figure it out wich parameter i should edit

I`m using Lineage OS18.1 on SM-T320 Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 WIFI model.
Im having same microphone problem after flash. Cant find mixer_paths.xml file in root folder as well.
Any fix for this?
