[*]now, i want update my phone to miui 12
[*]but when im download a miui 12 and extract i seen the boot.img changed to boot.img.p
[*]now, how i can patch boot.img.p for flash it with adb fastboot
[*]Thank you all XDA Mods

you have to download the whole firmware, it is about 2.24gb, first remove magisk because will break the firmware, after you have downloaded it, move it on your computer, extract the zip and get the boot.img, put it on the phone, install magisk manager, patch hte img and flash it via fastboot

TWRP and February stock boot.img file. New A1 user. Need some help pls

Hi there,
I am a new owner of A1 . I thought I new android but this A1 is proving the contrary so please I ask your help in these 2 subjects:
1) TWRP installer
I installed the recovery img via fastboot as the instructions told.
fastboot boot recovery-xx.img
Boot into Recovery
But when I reboot to recovery, I get no OS system and I have to reboot to system. Is there a step I am missing ?
2) I installed the patched February boot image like this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/root-mi-a1-oreo-8-0-disabling-ota-magisk-t3728654
I want to start the TWRP and root install from a fresh start. Where can I find the stock February Oreo boot.img file please?
I have the 170623.026 V9.5.4.0 build version.
3) Does Supersu exist for the A1 or we must use only Magisk only?
Thank you in advance

Root Oxygen OS 10.5.11INBA & stock boot.img files

Hello,
I just updated my Oneplus 8 Pro to the latest update and would like to root the device again. However, I do not know where I can download a stock image file or how to generate one... Is someone out there that can advise me on how to get my hands this or how to do this?
Thank you!
You dont need to patch boot images anymore. just fastboot boot to TWRP and flash the magisk zip
Thank you for clarifying! :good:

Would someone please share global OOS11 stable patched_boot.img?

Everytime I have to extract a payload.bin it never works when I need it to... Would someone please share their patched.boot.img for the global stable OOS11?
Thank a TON!!
Here is the patched Magisk 21.0 boot image for US phones (international). I didn't name it anything fancy, just trying to get it uploaded for people.
Remember to flash in both slots in fastboot.
Couldn't post the image here since it's too big. Hopefully my drive link works.

open beta 3 patched boot.img in2025
How about a patched boot.img for open beta 3 for in2025? finally got open beta 2 rooted and updated to 3 , tried installing magisk direct and to inactive slot which failed every time. Kinda disappointed by the lack of support for this phone.
If you can get a hold of a full rom for beta 3, you should be able to get a copy of the stock boot.img using Payload Dumper. You can patch it using Magisk Manager w/o root and try booting with it first (before flashing it directly).
If the latest Magisk Manager from the Stable branch doesn't detect root properly (shows N/A), I'd recommend trying the Beta Branch.
Once you confirm you have root detected and working properly, you can reboot back into Fastboot and flash the boot.img you used.

POCO M3 convert to EU rom and root

Hello, I want to know if I can convert my POCO M3 from global rom to EU rom and then root it after converting and also what are the necessary steps. Thank you. (my bootloader will be unlocked in 6 days.)
Yes, it is possible. Do you mean the official EEA rom or xiaomi.eu custom rom?
For EEA rom you need to flash the fastboot version with MiFlash tool. For xiaomi.eu you can follow the guide from this forum.
For root you need to patch the stock boot.img (you can extract it from the fastboot rom) with Magisk Manager, copy to your computer and flash it with fastboot, because there is no TWRP recovery yet.
When you are going to flash, make shure to keep the bootloader unlocked. This is very important because you will brick your phone if you relock your phone with an other rom than the original one.

Installing Magisk on xiaomi.eu 12.5.3

I'm currently running xiaomi.eu 12.5.3 stable, manually updated from xiaomi.eu 12.0.1 stable through settings -> recovery mode, which seems to have removed magisk. Lavender doesn't have "ramdisk", so I need to patch using the recovery.img, but the xiaomi.eu ROM only has boot.img, and no recovery.img. What should I do here?
Xiaomi are usually a special case where there is no ramdisk in the boot image, but the bootloader will accept the patch in the boot image anyway. So try patching the boot image..
