I can't find much info on the web about the GA2180A (Android 10, CPU: MTK 8227L 1.2GHz ARM A7 Quad Core, RAM: 2GB, ROM: 32GB) but it has CarPlay built in which is good so I don't need to buy a separate dongle - does anyone have this unit and think it's ok as I am thinking of buying.
I could alternatively get the Eonon GA2186 which has a faster chip (Android 10, CPU: Rockchip PX30 1.5GH Cortex A35 Quad Core; RAM: 2GB; ROM: 32GB) but without CarPlay, so would need to add the extra cost for the dongle, i'm not sure if it is worth it .
Going by the above specs how much faster/better would you think the GA2186 unit would be than the GA2180A ?
Or presumably an Xtrons with a car play dongle would be reasonably faster and still cheaper than both of the above

Hello everyone, first post so please go easy on me.
I have an accord 7th gen with dual A/C and I'm on the fence between a couple of android head units.
1. Klyde unit with a Rockchip PX5 Cortex A53, 8-core and 2G DDR3, and 32GB ROM running Android 6.0.1
or
2. a generic brand unit with a R16 1.6 GHz Quad-core CPU, Mali-400MP4 Quad-core GPU, 2G DDR3, and 32GB ROM running Android 6.0.1
To be honest, pretty sure both units are going to end up being manufactured by same company, guess I am mostly wondering if the processors will make a big difference in everyday performance? this will be replacing my stock radio.
Also to consider is that the quad core will end up costing around $282, but seller is a bit iffy and 8-core processor will cost $450 but seller has a much better reputation.
Thanks!
Does anyone help here anymore or is this basically a dead site for head units ?
I am in search of replacing my current head unit (in my Mercedes w164) with an android one but I am totally confused with all those chinese makers thus i would like some advice.
I am focusing on the below and based on my reading in the forum the android 7 with PX5 have issues with BT microphone. Did anyone hear about Android 8 and PX5 with 4GB memory? I wasn't able to find enough info.

Hi,
im about to buy android system for my chevrolet sonic, i found 2 systems but don't know what is better to order.
WITSON:
CPU: PX5
RAM: 4GB
ROM: 32GB
OS: 8.0
SCREEN: 8"
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/WIT...lgo_pvid=08843ae5-d9d8-4c76-be8e-bf3d0c8d73f5
Ownice:
CPU: MT3562
RAM: 2GB
ROM: 32GB
OS: 6.0
SCREEN: 9"
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/9-A...lgo_pvid=f00d27a4-0153-4785-80c8-3e3adda1fec0
Is ownice cpu is better then the witson?
They both plug & play, i don't find any info about the witson unit maybe they new? Ownice have more info online, but still seems like the witson specs are better, anyone can advice?
thanks!
it seems like the witson is far better than ownice.
but, I don't know what's the bluetooth version, take only 4 and above.
and make sure it supports SWC and 4G connection.
for that price i think it will serve you well.
they both support swc and 4g, the ownice have build in 4g, only sim card needed, the witson support external dongle.
Witson by a mile.
Always go for PX5 MTCD or MTCE units as they have better quality, easier menus, much better mod support like Hal9ks firmware, which is far superior.
Far superior speed, have autosleep function and can come with better screens.
Ownice has built in 4G and that is all it has going for it.

Xtrons Double DIN | Android 9.0 | Hexa Core | 4GB RAM & 64GB ROM | TQ109P
Great upgrade from my Xtrons TE103AP.
Has dvd player above the physical buttons which are located at the bottom of the unit. Display slides down to cover buttons if you want it too and also tilts forward or back depending on how you like it.

Hello,
Im new at android head units, so wondering if you guys could assist me in deciding which unit to get.
I dont want to get units from aliexpress as Im afraid if something happens I wont get any support, so Ive found that Xtrons has shop here in UK and offer 2 year warranty, so Im between these 2 models:
My main use would be to play music and Navigation, mostly via android auto.
Unit TSN700LA - is 4core Cortex A35, DDR3 2gb RAM, 32gb Storage - 159 pounds
Double DIN | Android 10 | Quad Core | Cortex A35 | 2GB RAM 32GB ROM | TSN700LA
Upgrade your car with the XTRONS TSN700LA Double Din Android car stereo to enjoy higher performance, better music experience and built-in carplay & Android Auto.

Unit TMA701LS - is 8core Cortex A53, DDR4 4gb RAM, 64gb Storage - 215 pounds
Universal | Double DIN | Android 11 | Octa Core | 4GB RAM & 64GB ROM | Integrated 4G Solution | TMA701LS
XTRONS TMA701LS is a brand new powerful universal Double Din Octa-core car sereo with integrated 4G solution that supports 99% of carriers plus the latest in-car infotainment features built-in DSP, CarPlay & Android Auto and specially designed UI.

Im considering to get the first, cheaper model, but would like to know if it would run smoothly. or if its worth investing the extra and getting the 4gb RAM model.
Any suggestions?
