Hi All,
I would like to present You a small and simple application called Custom Scroll. It gives You a chance to take the opportunity customizing scrolling behavior of HTCScroll Windows addon (which is used in File Explorer, MS Contacts, Programs, Settings... - everywhere where scrolls are used - and we are using fingers (flick gestures) to scroll...
I've noticed that when I'm trying new ROM many times "scrolling feature" need to be modified by myself, so why don't we just make it quick and simple, with predefined checked and accepted values - even maybe "solutions" ?
that's why I've made that application...
I would like to ask You a favor... when You'll be testing Your own values and You'll notice that some of combinations are quite good, please post them 'here' - in this topic ... after testing I'll build them into program.

another "preset" (in version 1.1 it's: "Prefered #1"):
Speedlow=100
Speedhigh=25
Pagelow=15
Pagehigh=50

Read this:dr G from PPCGEEKS.com discovered that:
Pagelow = Low speed scroll page size
Pagehigh = High speed scroll page size
Speedlow = Low speed scroll speed (ms delay)
Speedhigh = High speed scroll speed (ms delay)
Pantype = Enable/disable grab scrolling default 1, 0=disable
The page size is the number of - units - the given interface scrolls when the low or high speed scroll is activated by gesturing - finger flick. For example a pagelow of 20 would scroll 20 contacts each time you flick scroll in the contact list. This is why with the default 50 and 80 settings, flick scrolling causes excessive scrolling in contacts with the device initially.
The low speed scroll is activated by the initial flick gesture. The high speed scroll is activated by an ADDITIONAL flick gesture DURING the scroll initiated by the low speed scroll gesture. So it's kind of like "revving up" the scroll.
The speedlow and speedhigh delays are the delays between the "units" scrolled during either scroll. As such, the speedlow number is higher than the speedhigh number. Thing is, if you set the speedlow number too small, the low speed scroll will finish so quickly, you will not be able to initiate the high speed scroll with an additional gesture.

I've just reedited first post with sample "preset"... Notice that in program there are "3 presets" for "distance" ... and 4 or 5 for touch/sensitivity...
please if You'll find something interesting (sets / registry tweeks) give a reply in this topic...

Now all we need is kinetic scrolling. I dont know about other people but I cant stand the old-fashioned scrolling in WM. It's impossible to see stuff go by. Kinetic scrolling just feels more natural, period (i guess thats why it is so popular). Any ideas?

So does this only work with htc touchflo or will it work with the new scrolling built-in to wm6.5? I don't know of any 6.5 roms that are using touchflo.

It was a more fluid scroll feature (in my opinion ) as opposed to the flicking action needed with the "iphone" esq scroll. Have linked a utube example for your ref

It works with every build in HTC Scroll Addon (see if you have installed htcscroll.dll somehere in memory)
... I did not use 6.5 WM, but I think that microsoft has it's own sollution for finger scrolling, flick gestures and other stuff... if You have TFLO 3D and you can "Flick" in File Explorer You CAN adjust settings (but only some of them) with this program ...

Nope... :/ it's not possible to make scrolling like that :/ it has different solution for first press, moving, second press, right side of "card" ... it's just different ... ...

Hi, I haven't htcscroll.dll in my pda, so I downloaded it and copied in windows folder. Need I do others for use your program? Set some key of reg? Other?
You need all TFLO addons... I have no idea is it possible to add HTC finger scrolling without TouchFlo..., maybe sort of porting ... or sth else... sorry no idea... :/
I've TFLO, I have htc touch hd, but manila v2 not manila v3.
love this app. for some reason (or maybe on all touch pros) anything i would scroll it would go directly to the bottom and i couldnt get to stop...this solved my problem! thanks alot

In terms of functionalities either, I don't get the advantage compared to standard winmo dialer ..

meh....looks a bit unorganized as far as the interface. I prefer a clean look myself. it does move very fast and I like the framerate of motion. very smooth transitions. any way to quickly search through contacts by letter like pointui? I hate having to scroll the entire list to get to the bottom.

I agree that is FUGLY! Not even gonna install it to try it...
Ye ugly in my eyes as well. and it is so disorganised. Something a lot different though if you like it. But for me... no.
I guess we live in a world full of people with OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) where everything has to be symmetrical. They tried a different approach, just like everything that is meant as innovation. I honestly don't see the harm in being a little asymmetrical (although I will admit that the choice of colors sucks... and that is putting it in light terms). However, this is a beta people, it is bound to get better as the development continues.

I don't dig the abstract art style, but I do dig the touch scrollable dialer screen to reach different functions. Very innovative and seems user friendly.

Personal Preference....
I guess it comes down to personal preference... I personally do not care for the color scheme, but I think the concept and execution of the dialer seems very cool.
Maybe come up with other themes (something less abstract and more business-like/professional perhaps?) and you probably have a winner on your hands...

From the original PointUI thread. There are already 2 themes included, you don't have to run with the 'abstract' looking one as you're all calling it.

Installed on WQVGA i910 Omnia all seems to be going well. Will report back with any problems.
Just tried Infinity v 0.2.8, I should say it feels better than old version and it feels much lighter than SPB Mobile Shell.
I love Infinity’s looking!
Infinity will be definitely my next UI I will use for my mobile devices if developers can add the following modifications:
1. please do not totally replace original WM top taskbar.
1% battery indicator, Phoneweaver profile’s indicator etc etc are all displayed in WM top taskbar, after launch Infintiy,they are gone,this means Infinity completely replaces original WM top taskbar.
If you cannot change this,at least design a nice 1% battery indicator. We cant live without this.
2. to continue point No 1, Infinity also replaces other program’s toolbars, for example, Resco Photo Viewer v6.33,the toolbar is gone! This toolbar (contains zoom button etc) is very important for me, allowing me to zoom pictures accurately and quickly, that’s why I will not use Resco Photo Viewer v7.0 or higher,because they don’t have this convenient toolbar. Resco Photo Viewer v6.33 is best for viewing pictures; Now Infinity takes away its toolbar, I doubt I can use Infinity like this.[IMPORTANT]
3. Infinity also replaces original “X” tap, in WM you can go to settings/system/task manager/button/enable the "X" button to end running/end programs by tapping "X". Yes, I want program to quit immediately after I hit “X”, but Infinity disables this,the program is still running in the background after you hit “X”,there is no option for you to choose as to end program or minimize program. [IMPORTANT]
4. pls design a nice task manager widget with the option to assign it to the right soft key. [IMPORTANT]
5. pls add an option to make the desktop only one page. With now 3 pages, you can slide to left or right,it’s fun,but if you accidentally slide the page to left or right,you have to slide to find out the right page where you put all the shortcuts, this is not productive, for most of people,one page of desktop is optimal.
6. cannot we just use any picture to be desktop background? This is a easy script for programmer to write,isn’t it? So pls add this option. [IMPORTANT]
7. at last, I think it’s nice if Infinity can backup all the settings. Adding a program’s shortcut to the desktop is not straightforward, for example, I want to place Phoneweaver in desktop, the procedure goes like this: tap the desktop for 3 seconds>click right corner + button>Shortcut>click this new shortcut icon in the desktop>Show widget options>Path>(find the Phoneweaver icon>ok> tap the desktop for 3 seconds to finish.
You can imagine how much pain and time you will go though if you reinstall Infinity,if you can backup all settings and restore in future, you can save lots of trouble.
These are not bugs,just improvements that one of users want our diligent Infinity programmers to consider. Thank you for this excellent software!
Please note Infinity is still under development, Infinity v0.2.8 is not yet a finished product.

We have to be honest: we don't know when and if we can finish Infinity. You're right - there are only some small parts missing to make it more usable but we don't see a big future for it as WinMo 6.x dies and it definitely won't work on WP7 or any other platform.
That's why I just added some small functions (add/edit contacts) and fixed some bugs. I also removed the time limit as we really don't know if a new version will be released in a few weeks or in months.

spb mobileshell/mobilesense looks to remain very promising.
plus we know they have support and will continue to update.
its not free, but its worth it if u can find it.
i use it and it is everything i need.
To the OP, your comments would be better suited on the developer's site. Ageye has stated that further development of Infinity is unlikely since the current WindowsPhone OS will soon be obsolete. Too bad. I really liked this shell.

the option is to keep any app you want keep running in background and not be closed even if you cleared the ram memory . :good:
run the application you want to keep running and go to the recent apps by pressing the square button and slide the application you want down side and you will find there is an closed locker icon attached to this application prevent this app from closing when you click on the trash icon to clear the memory. :good: :good:
Note: if you slide the app down side again you will find that the locker icon changed to an open locker icon and now will be closed if you clear the memory.
** this option will be useful for the social and chatting apps to keep running and receive notification all the time (facebook, whatsapp, viber, ....)

What version is your phone on?
Because this option was in B190 lollipop but it wasn't in B210 lollipop also

Really I don't know but you can try if it complete without error, so it will be good and if not ,so your phone will keep as it is on b201

Maybe a wrong interpretation from me or the japanese version is simply different than the ones we actually test.
Can someone give a simple and quick example to check phone UI vs tablet UI mode.
As I'm back on nougat B301 (Europe version) I can try. This said, B301/302 are maybe simply betas but they are not "official" I believe so features can be added, removed, improved, corrected. B301 (from February) B302 ( from April). Don't know where these B301/B302 versions are originating from.
From my BTV-DL09C100B302 ,UI was changed when setting Display > Screen mode = small + Display> Font size = LARGE

Back on Nougat BTV-DL09-C100-B302 (beta?) which is rooted. No problem with my usual websites and apps. All at the appropriate tablet scale. Very pleased about EMUI 5 and android on this fantastic tablet. Comment typed on a macbook pro and I can confess that I have a certain IOS development background and know the Apple ecosystem quite a bit. Congratulations HUAWEI for a such great look and feel and experience on Android (at almost 1/3 the Apple price... lol) !

So, on the B302 version the tablet UI in apps is resolved or you still need to change the settings in the display menu?
I've never had this phone / tablet UI issue actually. Let me know what free app / website you want me to test and what should be the result.
Screen copies showing the problem would help.
Different UI of apps like YouTube or Chrome for example. YouTube shows more information (eg comments) in landscape mode on a tablet than on a phone etc.
TABLET UI : changing display setting is key!
Not based on screen copies but short comments, I won't be able to tell if what I consider fine is what you expect to be a table UI.
Alright then, I've just made a test to check for myself...
For me, the content in youtube and chrome is tablet UI friendly by default and acceptable. But applying the suggested display settings mentioned in my first post, I now see what you mean! Much more information if you set :
Settings > Display > Screen mode = small
&
Settings > Display> Font size = LARGE
