Enable airplane mode? - Shield Android TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys - just got a Nvidia Shield Pro but I can't find a way to enable airplane mode or the like (basically want to disable wifi and bluetooth). I've tried various ADB commands which succeed but don't seem to actually work.. anyone got any ideas? Or is it just not possible?

There is no option, the reason I would assume is cause if you turn off Bluetooth and/or wifi there would be no way to connect to the device other then a 3rd party remote that connects with a USB receiver. I know Ethernet can be disabled.

I don't really understand why you would want to turn airplane mode on for such a device.

Wired Tether? SyndicateROM Frozen 1.1.0?

I cant seem to get it to work. I turn on wired tether and then plug in the USB cable and no driver install promps. Was wondering if USB debugging needed to be turned on or not. I tried turning it on and I still get nothing as far as a driver install on what ever OS I use.
Anyone else having this issue.
On a side note when you use it with out debugging mode then 3 choice prompt still activates when he USB is plugged in.
Thanks in advance!
Its a known bug with syndicate 1.1.0. Its being worked on!

I have a similar problem with my Sony notebook except only with Bluetooth. Doesn't happen all the time but windows sometimes stops the driver from working. The only way to get it working is to reboot or disable then enable driver in device manager. Have you messed with your drivers at all cause maybe there are new ones for windows 8 if you did an upgrade from 7

I don't know if you have tried this but on some laptops the various devices are disabled unless FN+(F-Key) is pushed.
For example, I have a laptop that has wireless, it is disabled unless I do FN (Function) F10, that enables the radio for wifi and allows me to turn it on and use it... perhaps its something similar...
I have done a fresh install of windows 8
And installed drivers of w8
From downloading it from Lenovo site
And for mine laptop the keys are fn+f5
I have tried that
But from it only happening flight mode on and off

All i can say is: "Bios"
I had the same problem with my ASUS EeePC 1005HA after installing the Win8.
In the Bios the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi has been set to "Off". Have it to "On" and finished with F10 and since it works flawlessly. :good:

Android TV Remote Control Can't Connect

Need some advice please...been trying to connect my LG G4 to my Nexus Player via the AndroidTV Remote app and haven't had any success.
I've tried connecting via WiFi and BT but neither work. I can see the device, but upon attempting to Connect via WiFi the screen pauses like it's trying to start a connection, but flickers back to the device list.
Trying via BT pairing I can connect my phone but the App won't launch (even with phone WiFi turned off).
Any suggestions here? The only thing I haven't tried doing is taking my old Logitech Revue off the network to see if there's perhaps some interference with the AndroidTV connector.
Doesn't look like anyone has experienced this issue, on the forums -- would definitely appreciate help as the Nexus Player on-screen keyboard is terribly slow!
Thanks.
Bump!
Same issue here with my Nexus 6p and Nexus player....
Please help!

Same glitch here. Changed batteries but no luck. Was on beta, then reverted back to stock N. But still same problem.

Yeah don't think I ever solved this one. Moved on to a Nvidia Shield TV, the Android TV remote app works reliably. Good luck!

Glitch with Bluetooth not connecting after entering into maximum power save mode

For some reason on the S7 Edge, when I renable Bluetooth after switching my device into Ultra power save mode, my phone won't re connect to the Bluetooth device I was using unless I turn the Bluetooth device off and restart it. I've tried this with multiple Bluetooth devices so I'm guessing it's a glitch in the system. Can't even connect if I go to the Bluetooth menu and click on the device I want it to connect to. Hoping someone can give me some insight on a way to fix this or where to report this glitch to get it fixed. Thanks in advance.
