Can't use any custom roms besides xiaomi.eu - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

I can't use them either i get error 7 when flashing them or i get a bootloop.
Tried installing without wiping, with wiping nothing helped.
I'm using latest OrangeFox Recovery.

Hi, for bootloop you might have to format your data partition when switching between roms (not wipe), for error 7 flashing newer firmware should solve that (available here https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/lavender/)

How to format it?
Wysłane z mojego Redmi Note 7 przy użyciu Tapatalka

in OrangeFox - chose Menu in bottom right corner >> Manage Partitions >> Data >> Format Data (keep in mind that you lose all your files, make a backup to external sdcard or pc if needed)

Thanks! It worked.

[Q] CWM Issues on Rooted Xperia Z

Hi
I have recently rooted my bootloader locked Xperia Z and have installed Root Checker and confirmed Root successful. I have then installed the CWM mod and have booted up my Z with the volume down key pressed and this started fine.
The reason i have rooted my Z is to install the CyberShot mod as i can't live with how crap the camera is (due to compression and noise reduction) and wiped the cache and delvik cache as suggested but realised i had not copied the CyberShot mod .Zip to my SD card to clicked on reboot within CWM. This gave me an option to 'delete flash' or something similar and a guide i had been reading said to click yes so i did this and now when i boot up the phone, CWM wont boot up and the phone just starts normally.
I have removed the CWM with Root Browser and re-installed and also tried installing TWRP and neither will start when i boot up.
I have re-rooted the phone (via Z Rootkit) and again, my phone is rooted but cant load CWM or TWRP.
Any suggestions as i really need the CyberShot mod or im gonna have to sell phone and i really don't want to?
Iv read LOTS of threads and can't find an answer (If it helps, i did try and unlock the bootloader before i rooted phone via FlashTool and stated i was unable to do so as not Officially unlockable)
All help is greatly appreciated
Paul
Fixed now
I installed dual recovery and TWMP works and cybershot installed. Will test later (fingers crossed)

Tried installing the stock backup but now the backup stock OS is also getting stuck at Lenovo logo.
Found a fix to this problem. Solved by Pourush Sharan Bhargav
1. Wipe everything from twrp.
2. Download a stock rom of k6 power and flash it with a Qualcomm flash tool. Watch video for more info
3. Go to settings check.......phone now will not be encrypted.
4. If it says to encrypt, do not do it.
5. Go to twrp and make changes to data and cache partition to ext4.
6. Wipe everyting again from twrp.
7. Flash your custom rom like RR and gapps.
8. Done, enjoy.....
All the best. Please give me Kudos if this tip is helpful to you.

No, but i deleted the data, System, Delvik, Cache Internal storage in TWRP except FRP, MicroSD and USB-Otg (Which are not required i hope) before installing the ROM from MicroSD .
So... Reboot into TWRP, go to wipe, swipe to factory reset, and flash a ROM

Is there any fix to this problem?
Please advise as the phone is basically useless without an OS and i am not able to install any of that.
Thanks,

If you have unlocked bootloader and have custom rom, connect devices in fastboot mode, then type: fastboot reboot recovery.
If you have unlocked bootloader, but you don't have custom recovery, downloader him, place in ADB folder, then connect device in fastboot mode and type: fastboot flash recovery yourfilename.img

After all of that, type in ADB: fastboot devices. If you see it, you can use my instructions.

Its just exctly my problem of not showing the device after put in the cmd, adb device command.... it fills blanck. I didtn have much choice and had put the stock version of the rom........... Seems that after my researches that message of encryption unsucessful only appears because i had put the rom and the gapps in the sd card. Anyone confirm this? Is a best practice to put in the internal storage (the custom rom and the gapps) ? And if i will do the wipes, how they will survive to them without error if they are in the internal storage?
Really confuses a brain....

Exactly just Install ROM using the internal memory don't use any other storage option like microSD Card or OTG. First do all the wipes > Then connect USB and copy ROM and Gapps in internal memory and install. It worked for me.

I simply formated the data after do all the wipes. The rom continues in sdcard for better manipulating the files. Thanks anyway.
Solved.......
I was having same error in my new k6 power and finally i conquered it.
U need to do following steps ÷
1. Wipe everything from twrp.
2. Download a stock rom of k6 power and flash it with a Qualcomm flash tool.
Remember if not working change the order of steps and do again and again this is the only solution.
I'm now using RR in my k6 power
this is the truth to decrypt any phone reboot to bootloader type below code one by. you will loss all your data after doing this.
fastboot erase config
fastboot format userdata
fastboot reboot

This was short and sweet.
Works and is perfectly safe as long as you have nothing left on the device. cause Internal sd card data gets deleted. a little warning would never hurt more than the loss.

After installing any custom rom on stock nougat you have to clear dalvik/cache. don't reboot to system straight away. Go back to twrp home, go to wipe then do a factory reset and clear data( the typing yes thing). If it says error to clear data, just reboot to recovery again and than try to clear data( the typing yes thing). You will now be able to boot into custom rom and without any encryption unsuccessful message.

[Bootloop] Omni Rom is not working on Xperia Z3 6603

Hello,
I've tried to install this ROM on my Xperia Z3 6603 but it keeps on bootloop from first boot and is not working...
The first time I've installed the rom with a Gapps package, so I've tried without the Gapps package but i got the same behaviour.
Is there any stable version?
I've tried:
omni-7.1.2-20170806-leo-WEEKLY.zip
omni-7.1.2-20170813-leo-WEEKLY.zip
My installation steps were:
Flash latest Z3 official firmware
Flash a kernel with TWRP
The installation doesn't detect my phone, so I've installed the Omni kernel
Flashed the latest twrp recovery for my Z3 (3.1.1)
Cleared system, data, cache and dalvik
Installed Omni ROM using the downloaded zip
(only the first time) I've installed Gapps Nano
I've noticed that sometimes the ROM starts on safe mode, but don't cares, it bootloops again.
Thanks in advance.
Here is my history with omni-7.1.2-20170820-leo-WEEKLY.zip:
-after installation no Sim is detected and Mac is shown as 02:00:00:00:00:00
-*reboot --> [mostly] Sim is detected
-in settings #reset networkconnections to get the right Mac
If i connect to Wifi by getting ip always soft bootloop.
Where could be the mistake?

[HELP] Installation Miui Eu

Hello guys
someone can help me, to explain me why in my 9t global cant install miui eu stable or mi globe (MIUI builder)?
my steps
- unlocked bootloader
- installed two of twrp versions (greek and 4pda)
- format data ---> yes, reboot
- copy miui eu (latest stable) in phone storage,
- Wipe data/cache/dalvik cache and install miui eu zip, then reboot
- always reboot the phone stuck at mi logo or at mi boot, then 30 minutes to wait nothing happened
- the same steps with miui mi-globe (rom builder) and the same result: stuck at mi logo
- then reflesh fastboot stock miui stable latest with mi flasher
someone can help me, why i cant install miui eu?
thanks in advance
Use only 4pda TWRP. Follow the same steps you did like explained, but after flashing the ROM, before rebooting, in TWRP, go to Advanced and click on Rm avb-verity&forceencrypt, when it's done, restart.

I am on latest eu stable and use greek TWRP (3.3.1_12-08) basically i did the same steps as you tried to do.
After format data and sucessful reboot to TWRP there is no need to wipe anything.
For greek TWRP i recommend an USB-OTG device with latest MIUI by Xiaomi.eu 10.3.15 stable on it.
In TWRP install the SW from USB_OTG
Reboot to system, wait 2-4 min and averything should be working.
4dpa TWRP is also working fine, i tested both.
