[Q] Idea for reverting to old Bootloader GT-I9505

Hi,
First sorry for my bad English.
I'm not a dev and i don't know hot to make flashable zip's and all other stuf, but i thing it's possible to make one thing to revert back to old bootloader.
First in new roms we have two new files, one is persdata.img.ext4 and i think here is some knox app files. Other is sbl1.mbn and that file i thing is for bootloader to show knox in download mode. In previous roms we dont have sbl1.mbn, we have only sbl2 and sbl3 files.
In Es File Explorer i see that sbl1.mbn is in /firmware-mdm/image folder
First i think to delete that file and after that to test flashing BMGA rom with odin to replace other two sbl files, but i don't know if i delete that file do i have a download mode.
And if its possible some dev to make one flashable file with some script to delete that file with instalation and replacing sbl2 file in /firmware-mdm/image and sbl3.mbn with that from BMGA rom (i don't know where is placed sbl3, i don't find them in root directory.)
Odin got fail after trying to replace aboot.mbn if found any way way to flash or repace aboot.mbn in phone i think we go back to previous bootloader.

[Guide]Modify stock rom and delete bootloader with Knox for Galaxy S4

Hi,
Like, I'll send my phone to the SAV, because cracked glass, I don't want that they make the update, I'm with Android 4.2.2, I prefer to put a custom 4.3 or 4.4 with the old bootloader. I would like to put an official touchwizz 4.3 but without new bootloader, so they won't update it if they see that it is version 4.3 official.
Do you think that's possible? - It's possible, but does it work?
Or do you know how I could remove the new bootloader of the rom installing via ODIN? - Method below.
Is there an official 4.3 rom flashable via ODIN? - I made one but no tested!!!
Is there a risk to remove the bootloader of the rom? - I don't think but we are never sure of anything.
Because at worst, if they saw it, I could say that I did the normal update and it had to go wrong!
Here, a mate explain how make it!
explication of the Android structure:
sbl1.mbn - part of new bootloader , safe to delete
sbl2.mbn - part of new bootloader , safe to delete
sbl3.mbn - part of new bootloader , safe to delete
aboot.mbn - New Knox bootloader , DELETE
rpm.mbn - Resource power Management link
tz.mbn - Trusted zone ( Wifi won`t work if u don`t flash it together with new Modem )
boot.img - Kernel
recovery.img - Recovery/Download mode
system.img.ext4 - your apps/framework/android
NON-HLOS.bin - modem
cache.img.ext4 - CSC / APN settins / What bloat is to be installed depending on zone / carrier
hidden.img.ext4 - Another "system" part of apps that are too big for /system ( for now almost empty ) on S2 was full of apps
I've successful to make the modification with ubuntu, but I've a doubt, I wonder why he has not put the modem.bin file to inside. Reason in the post below.
Is someone can inform me if it is reliable or not?
I know why I believed he removed the file modem.bin, there isn't to modem.bin file on the S4 mini.
Edited: I misunderstood his answer!
so did you try it?
No, I don't know if I must do it, SAV sometimes make updates without thinking, so I do not think it's worth trying. But I think it should work, there is no reason!

There are single-CSC firmware and also multi-CSC firmware available. Instead of adding the CSC yourself, you can choose the appropriate firmware (that contains the CSC you want) to flash. I see there is no reason to add an CSC manually.
If you still want to add CSC, we will discuss further...

I asked this because I don't know how to create tar.md5 archive nor ext4 image file.
And as I have said, I have never tried that, but will try to do with you.
Give me some time, I will get back to this thread.

#1 Root your phone
for s5 I prefer towerroot as the knox counter is not flagged
#2 install SuperSU
Premade MODS
OPTIONAL install xposed installer for premade mods not all work depending
my phone G900W8 does not use feature.xml for CSC info like G900F
#3 Simplest way is to buy a decent file browser FX with root addon (I personnaly USE)
or use ES (Free) think it works
edit the CSC file by remounting the file system as writable and a file editor right on your phone. REBOOT for results!
*** recommend you backup the CSC files before modification,

I Saw in other forum how to flash on Rom with (signal-csc) other Roms with other csc (multi -csc) without ROOT!
no all ways this app will work with Signal-csc:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manniakk.cscselector&feature
the error in odin was:
<ID:0/003> cache.img.ext4
<ID:0/003> hidden.img.ext4
<ID:0/003> FAIL! (Ext4)
-My friend try this way in Section 2 (after it fail in the first time)
he extract the with 7zip the file" MODEM.BIN" from the rom with multi-csc and flash with odin in CP with the device in Download mode.
Tricks for Changing CSC Code While Flashing the Stock Firmware:
Sometimes when you just flashed the stock firmware it will not change the CSC code in jut one way around.
The below method might help to obtain the CSC file you want.
Make sure to recharge your phone before anything else.
Fully back-up all important data stored from your phone. You may use Kies 3 to back up and restore or through your Google and Samsung account.
1. Run and configure Odin. Do not check “Re-Partition” and “Auto Reboot” check boxes.
2. Load the stock firmware in the PDA button.
3. Set the phone in download mode (Volume Down+Home+Power button). Then connect the phone in your computer.
4. Hit the “Start” button and then wait.
5. Once the flashing successfully completed. Do not let it reboot into the normal mode.
6. Reboot into recovery mode (Volume Up+Home+Power button).
7. See if it’s applying the CSC file then wait until it finishes and reboot.
8. If you do not see the CSC installation, instead choose the “Wipe data/Factory reset”. Then repeat flashing the stock firmware. You may then achieved the CSC code flashing the stock firmware on the second attempt.
10. Confirm the CSC code by using Kies 3 and see if the CSC code has changed.
1.There is other way to flash other rom with multi-CSC from signal-CSC (mayby with PIT files?)
2.when we do flash PIT other then it corrupted or missed from your device?
3.there is a chance that there is a differences (in partition ) between ROMS form the same Module but other rigons?

[Q][N9000Q/N900] Stuck while installin Custom Rom. Need Help! NAND Wite FAIL!

Hi everyone.
I stuck while installing Dr.Ketan ROM on my N9000Q, which is descriebed on this web site. And I need a help about this issue.
First I updated my N9000Q to Android 5.0 Lolipop using Russia Rom ( I downloaded it from SamMobile) and now it seems like N900 in about section in phone.
After this update, I used it for a while, but now i want to insall a custom rom. But when i try to install CWM/TWRP or try to root it using Odin, I get the error message "NAND Write Start!! FAIL!!" I used different version of recovery files like "n900-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.4(1009)" , "n900-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.7-kk(0125)" , "n900-cwm-recovery-6.0.5.0-kk_L5.0(0812)" , "openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.7-ha3g.img.tar" or root file "CF-Auto-Root-ha3g-ha3gxx-smn900.tar.md5". and also tried them with many different Odin version, like 1.85 up to 3.10.6.
Everytime I have tried, I got same error message. Did I something wrong, or what should I do?
Can anyone help me about this problem???

I think that's an Exynos chip phone. Are you sure you are getting SW for that or are you trying to flash normal (Snapdragon) files?

It's normal that you are stuck if you don't know what device you are using. Do you own a N900 or N9000Q? Coz they are different phones. For root it ofc too:
1. CF-Auto Root for N900.
or
2. CF- Auto Root for N9000Q.

Thanks for your reply. I m trying your root files soon. but as i said in my #1 Message, I have a n9000q (Turkey version) but after i install Russia Stock Rom (and also Ukrain Stock Rom), It is written in version section in phone as "N900". That's why i try to install N900 root files. and also there is many threads that n900 and n9000q are same specification so that we can install both n900 root files.
Thanks again and again for your helping. But after your reply i have another question in my mind, that i can install Dr.Ketar Rom for n900 into my phone or not. I have doubt because i could already install n900 Ukrain and Russian Stock Roms.
Edit 1: I just tried to root with 2nd files too. but i cant root either and I got same error message.

That you can install custom roms doesn't mean that will work on your device. You receive NAND error in ODIN for that too.
*COUNCIL: I will flash the stock ROM and will root with this file via ODIN too if I was you and DONE!.

[RECOVERY][STOCK S8+] G955USQS2BQL1 - Galaxy S8+ SM-G955U SPR Spint

In the S8 firmware Samsung are now providing 5 files.
Here is how to install an S8 firmware
Phone preparation:
1. Download and install Odin on your PC
2. Download firmware below
3. Download and unzip your firmware (do not use WinRAR as it can give errors)
4. From your download put these files into Odin:
BL
AP
CP
CSC (not HOME_CSC)
5. Now look at the Odin Settings (for this select Options)
F.reset time
Auto reboot
6. Installing another country CSC or a network CSC will need the system partition size changing.
For this select Options and add this setting
Re-partition
7 Put phone into Download Mode and connect to PC .
When the Odin ID:COM box changes color press START
Download link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-I2ZyNfyN4JCdcRO_ugkrxJ_sh-088z8
I download the official firmware from Samsung directly using this software (samfirm _v0.3.6) and use the most recent ODIN-v3.13.1, newest firmware for my Sprint S8 is G950USQS2BQL1 from January which my phone updated to G950USQS2BRB1 which must not be in a full firmware yet, just an OTA update it seems.
I got 6 files in this downloaded file(SM-G950U_1_20171206185327_w3c9ywqj6i_fac.zip.enc4) which are:
AP_G950USQS2BQL1
BL_G950USQS2BQL1
CP_G950USQS2BQL1
CSC_OYN_G950UOYN2BQL1
HOME_CSC_OYN_G950UOYN2BQL1
USERDATA_SPR_G950USQS2BQL1
What I learned is (HOME_CSC) does not wipe your data, but the (CSC) will just like a factory reset, so with this in mind
If your just upgrading your stock firmware and want to keep your Data,
then just flash these 4 files....
BL (bootloader)
AP (System)
CP (Radio)
HOME_CSC (Region)
To Wipe your phone and bring it back to Stock like brand new out of the box first time powering it up.
Flash all the above but replace (HomeCSC) with (CSC) and add in the (USERDATA_SPR) file too..
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS backup your stuff first.. I use Smart Switch to backup all my Samsung devices.
Does it lock my phone to sprint

The 5th number from the end in firmware/combination files is the bootloader version aka BL, they must be equivalent and or higher than your current bootloader. So you cannot flash BL 3 firmware are you flashed BL4 combination file, you must resource BL4 firmware or above to and you will be good to go.

Sorry I dont get it at all, Im trying to understand. Let me see. The combination file I installed its BL4, so the stock firmware must be BL4 or above to allow the Firmware to be flashed on the device?

Sounds like the partitions are different with the file you flashed and the stock sprint firmware. I sometimes tell Odin to re-partition to get back to stock along with the nand erase option checked as well. Just a thought... its how I get a screwed up flash back to stock, but you need a stock sprint firmware not a combo file. if you have twrp then your not stock at all and flashing a stock firmware will replace it back to original.

I sove it with the G955USQS5CRF5 file from Verizon, seems that it its compatible with the Spint firmware. I flashed with Odin, and make a FactoryReset at Recovery menu. That fixed it!
Good evening,
None of this worked. I followed the steps to a T. Put all files in and received this error? What am I doing wrong? I tried rooting my Sprint G955U and that failed. Didn't trip knox, which says 0x0 currently, but disabled fingerprint id, face recognition, samsung pay - says device has been rooted. In about section, specifies "official". Also, a new update just came out a few days ago in August, 2018. I tried to update and that failed as well. I put all these files in odin and it failed pretty quickly. Please help me restore my phone. Please see attached photos. Currently, running Android Oreo.
Serious help!

Thanks for the Reply.
I sove it with the G955USQS5CRF5 file from Verizon, seems that it its compatible with the Spint firmware. I flashed with Odin, and make a FactoryReset at Recovery menu. That fixed it!
