All my notifications and quick settings are not responding to clicks.
This started out of the blue and the only modifications I have done are uninstalling the Samsung bloatware with the instructions in the thread here.
Any help with this?

I have two successful download notifications that are stuck in the notification bar. Initially they were apps I downloaded from market but that didn't install properly. I can clear these notifications but they always come back everytime I download something. How can I get rid of these? Any ways to clear somewhere the temp folder where apps are downloaded? Thanks for the help
I know this is really diggin deep but I have this same problem on my droid, and have seen it on another droid. Is there a fix? Right now there's 4 notifications stuck in my pulldown that randomly pop back up.
I apologize if this has already been answered, I couldn't find a fix anywhere. I rooted my Note 3 a few days ago(Saturday), I have only installed xposed framework and some modules. Last night out of nowhere I noticed my status bar was missing and only appears in certain apps or if I swipe down for the notification shade. I have retraced my tracks to see if I accidentally checked something and nothing has made it come back. I haven't unrooted it though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine done this exact same thing. I had to wipe and re-flash CM -- Not sure what caused it, Suggestions were Expanded desktop - but I didn't enable that.
Hi,
We all know what Heads Up Notifications are. For those who doesn't, its a notification banner for high priority apps in Android 5.0.
I just observed this while I was enjoying Lollipop on my Nexus 4. I wanted Heads Up style notification for IM apps, since Google removed notification ticker in the latest android build. So I downloaded Heads Up by Artem Chepurnoy (Sorry could not link you in coz I'm a new member). After I installed and setup it, I tried 'Send test notification' and idk how the actual Lollipop Heads Up showed up. [See attachment] You can see in the screenshot the actual Lollipop Heads Up banner is at the top and the Heads Up by Artem Chepurnoy banner is below it. I am not sure how did this happen, but this means the Heads Up exists for other apps also and it needs to be enabled. I have read that, this feature relies on the priority of the application notifications, but still no luck in enabling Heads Up for other apps. If any dev can help?
Thanks.
Go to settings -> sounds¬ification -> app notifications and check if you had your IM app blocked.
To be honest this is the most annoying feature in lollipop. You cant disable the built in heads up. You can only shut off the notification completely. That means if you use third party heads up apps it will give the issues you've encountered already.
With HeadsOff lollipop heads-up notifications can now be disabled!
No root needed.
You can also restore the ticker text in the statusbar!
Give it a try:

So I recently installed rooted Lollipop 5.0 BOC4 on my Verizon S5 and I previously had several mods installed but I can't remember them all (definitely had Xposed, Wanam, and a couple one-off zips like tether, one that customized the quick settings/toggles) and I'm still getting my phone setup the way I want it to work. But there are a few things I still haven't been able to find/accomplish yet on this version of Android and I was hoping the forum would be able to help me out.
Even if the answer is "you can't do that yet" or "need to wait for Xposed", please let me know so I can stop wasting my time looking for workarounds/fixes/mods. So here's what I want to be able to do:
Quickly disable/enable the lock screen without having to go into the Settings > Lock Screen. I'd prefer a quick toggle.
Disable pop-up/heads up style notifications (and revert to the old 4.4 style notifications). Specifically for texts. What apps besides Textra allow for these to be disabled?
Have the volume buttons control the sounds/volume only and not the interruptions (similar to CM 12.1 for those that are familiar).
Flashlight mod.
Any other interesting mods that are working on rooted BOC4 that you think may be of interest.
And probably the most important...
Is there any SMS app out currently that allows you to both 1) Disable the heads up style pop-up notifications on Lollipop and ALSO 2) reply/mark read/delete from the notification.
Regarding the last bullet, I've found a few SMS apps that do one or the other but not both. For example, ChompSMS and Textra allow you to disable the heads up style pop-up notification and just gives the small icon in the nav bar, but you can't reply from the notification. And Evolve SMS and QKSMS allows you to reply from notification bar, but not disable the heads up notification.
Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
I recently updated to Oreo on the Sprint network on my S8 and now all my badge icons have disappeared and I cannot get them to work. Regardless of the app or what settings I turn on the badges do not work. I'm also not getting any edge lighting notifications when the screen is turned off. I have tried hard reboots and still nothing. This is very disappointing as I was hoping the update was going to fix all these issues. Any suggestions to help fix these issues would be appreciated.
Do not complain if U didn't do a factory reset after update.
It's a must on samsung devices after a major update. Sadly.
I have managed to fix this somehow.
I was a trying a few things and have basically managed to wipe my home screens. So need to set up icons and widgets again. It's quite cathartic...
The upshot is that Badge icon notifications are working again.
I think deleting the cache and memory for the Samsung Home Experience and a restart fixed it
Good Luck

Not quite working as it was!
I now get the numbered badge icons which was not the case post upgrade.
However they disappear if and when the notifications are cleared. Very annoying!
I'm also having issues when the notifications.
If I clear the notification bar it clears the badges on the apps. Also if you enter an app that has a bafge, don't read the message the badge still disappears.
I'm fairly confident that wasn't the case before the update.
Edit: sorry, reply to a wrong post.
Factory reset, OR a new phone don't fix it. I've tried both, 4 trips to AT&T, 2 new S8 actives later... still an issue. Samsung tech support (4xs) says it's a software issue and won't be fixable. They tell me to "just wait for the update to fix it." Super annoying they can't get their $#!* together and fix it.
