[Q] [L5] WiFi not working after installing PURE AOSP 4.4.2

Yeah, the wifi isn't working and I already tried the fix. Anybody else got any better solutions?

Same problem here man, I've installed CM 11 Beta 3 + an OC Kernel and now it just won't find my network, it just keeps searching and searching and finds nothing, I've also tried writing it manually but it says "Out of range", it is needless to say that before installing the kernel the wi-fi worked pretty well, it's not a ROM trouble but a kernel one I guess. I've also tried other kernels and it keeps failing, also tried different ROMs such as Pure AOSP 4.4.2, CodefireXperiment and it doesn't work either, any idea? anybody?

Well if I were you , I would install 20D + root + cwm , then Flash the rom with correct instructions. If you already did that, try to flash v20 baseband.

I have done that, but to no success. The screen turns white if I flash the v20 baseband.

[Q] Upgrading to 4.4 from 4.2, Questions

I am currently running PA 3.69 (Android 4.2.2) with stock PA kernel and a .48 modem, and I am looking to flash the new CM11 M3 snapshot (4.4) with franco.Kernel and put on MultiROM with Ubuntu Touch. I have been out of the custom ROM scene for a while and I would like to make sure I get this right the first time.
Do I need to flash a 4.4 modem before I update the OS? Then, do I just flash the .ZIP from CM's website from within CWM? Or should I grab a factory image from Google and start from there?
Also, should I flash the franco.Kernel immediately after rebooting into the ROM, or does it not matter? I had problems with flashing kernels on my old phone after the OS had already been running for a long time.

Both kk modem and bootloader aren't mandatory but they are recommended
While you're in recovery flash the desired kernel after the rom but also you can do it after reboot

[Q] Weird Colors after installing Franco Kernal

I'm running the unofficial Cyanogenmod 11S on my Nexus 4 and just flashed Franco Kernel and am getting weird colours now. My screen also blinks at random times, anyway to fix this without factory resetting? Thanks

Flash your rom again without Franco kernel. It's the kernel that causes this behavior. Just re-flash your current rom/nightlie zip or whatever and it should be fine.

Wrong version of kernel used
I think most likely you have used the wrong kernel or not following installation instructions.
Whenever opt to install kernel, do look into the requirements:
a. for which version of android (4.4.4 ? 4.4.2? 5.0?)
b. what type of release of android (Cyanogenmod (CM/CAF)? AOSP? MIUI?)
c. installation method and steps (some kernels required to flash on top of stock kernel)
For now I would suggest that you find out the version and release of the android that you using currently and just flash the suitable kernel for it. The way i see it, you are using a cyanogenmod (CM), a CM compatible kernel will do.

Can't flash Custom Kernel

I tried flashing Fusion Kernel twice. First one was through fastboot, and gave me error. Something about strings & such. Second one is through TWRP. Flashed successfully but doesn't boot up at all.
Using Z00LD (Used kernel Z00L)
Custom Rom is CyanogeMod 13 latest one.
Help me plox

That's an outdated kernel. It won't work on latest cm13 builds. Check the last few pages of that kernel thread to know which build is supported.

Why A6010 doesn't have that much support? There are some roms but NO CUSTOM KERNEL, and that is what freaks me up a LOT. Phantom kernel with 1,8 Ghz/725 mhz Oc
is not working, or at least is not working on MIUI 8.0.2.0 for A6010. Every time stuck on boot logo. Will try ED300's CM 13, and flash the kernel there, maybe it works(god plz)

Buy a new phone that have much community support . Do not cry after buying a third class phone. It all depends on popularity of device , availability of source codes .

A6K ROM and kernel won't work on A6010.A Custom kernel is on my plan.I will do it later

You're wrong. ED300's CM13 and Phantom R7 for A6000 work perfectly on A6010. But,....
1. Just one speaker works
2. no sim card recognized
But if you use this phone just for browsing and stuff is fine
