I'm sad to must say that i no longer use a HD2.I had two HD2 phones. One for daily use the other was a test phone for roms. The Testphone is chrashed and past away before 3 days. Now i own a Desire HD and the HD2 for daily use goes to my wife with my favorite rom from TBD.
So i must say thank you to all the developers for the work and time that he spend to cook roms for the HD2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On my Desire HD i use the Energy Rom from Nrg.
It's great to see You in this sektion of this forum.

thx mate
well i think i tested too much roms most of the testroms where 5 until 6 days on the phone and then comes another rom on the phon.my wifes phone runs from the first day with TBD rom without problems.the testphone was a phone from the first HD2 generation, my wifes from the 2nd.
I wanted reflash to win 6.5 and nothing gone. My Phonedealer send it to check in a repair workshop with the report to repair the phone coast 180 euro.
thats too much money for an almost 5 year old phone.
i buy a 1,5 year old desire hd phone on ebay with direct buy for 200 euro.
cheers

Hi again,
I'm sorry to hear that. I wasn't sure if technically that could be possible. I have tried tenths of ROMs(Winmo coocked, Android Nand & SD, ecc) on my Hd2 since Dec '09. So probably I 'll have to expect something similar, like a sudden death for my Leo too. Well who knows, hope not, but anyway I can imagine, separation could be hard for many reasons, emotional or not
of course this is not a 5 years old phone, but a 2 years old phone (did the maths)... For example from and including, Monday, 21 December 2009 To and including Wednesday, 15 February 2012, It is 787 days from the start date to the end date, end date included or >>2 years, 1 month, 26 days << including the end date.
Ergo, It could be such a pity don't be functional after two years, don't you think? Hd2 is still a powerful device made by metal, crystal and other precious high quality materials and you can prolong Hd2s life expectancy thanks to XDA developers. Fortunately these guys with their new hardware acceleration will give us the possibility to use the latest operating systems(see Android 4) increase the satisfaction for this device and fight the planned obsolescence! (Also reduce social costs, recycling ecc)
Consequently I would say to you to try to unbrick your device to someone else.
Generally the cost for adjusting your Hd2 must be approximately 30E-40E, as I found out after a little research made on line. So 180E seems to me absurd, take a second opinion, no?
just some thoughts
Cheers

Being both amazed by the sh**load of OSes the HD2 can run and in need of a smartphone, I decided to buy one. Just one thing I am not sure about - new or used? What I am most concerned about is the state of the NAND memory - knowing that it has a limited lifespan or reads and writes, I am somewhat afraid of getting one that is close to it's death. Also, what about TRIM availability? Wouldn't want to run into a unit that's slowed down to a speed of a crippled snail just to find out that there's no remedy.
New if can & price good, used is indeed risky & most have bad repairs & faults.
You can find good used but it hard these days.
good luck finding a new five year old phone now, though. I'd choose something else, from experience I know once you get into the mod scene of this phone you get to know it's not really that great nor alive at this moment.
still new available (can buy in my local phone mall) but would only buy if price cheap.
Would only buy one if really need cross platform support or need run WM6.5.
Other option is buying one with dead or cracked digitizer & fitting new digi as broken but clean HD2 can be had for around 22USD & Digitizers are 12USD.
@Spaqin - what'd be the problem with picking up a new HD2? Some new ones still sold on eBay, so...
@Mister B - I am a bit afraid of digitizer replacements, as the last time I did it (on my previous phone - Samsung Galaxy Ace-i GT-S5830i) the result was... well, functional, but barely - registering touches when not being touched at all, or not responding at all. Also, the reason I'm picking this phone is that I don't have much money to invest, and I like the freedom of OS choice - on any other phone that I know of, I'm pretty much locked to whatever OS it has.. Just the idea of flashing whatever OS I feel like got me excited. If anyone can recommend anything similar at a similar price, I'm open to suggestions.
@Spaqin
Up to really then on what available to you in your region.
eBay new or used is iffy unless incredibly good feedback.
I been lucky with a few used ones picked up from local phone shop that took them as part exchange when doing upgrades.
Certainly odd good ones come on eBay but most are same tat going round so be careful.
I still use HD2 & WM6.5.5 & it perfectly decent device.
To be honest best way of buying a bargain is with broken digitizer, I bought one from ebay with all original accessories & box & very good condition besides dead digi plus it still had void stickers in tact, repair is cheap but certainly need experience at least one before you good at it.
Nothing else has same cross platform support.
Certainly a nice device if price & condition good. happy hunting .

No hope of buying one locally, new ones ain't available in stores anymore, and even used ones don't seem to pop up over here - the closest thing I've ever seen is a HD Mini.
I think I'll eventually buy a new one on eBay, as both sellers that have nice offers have 98,8% positive rep, but just in case - what about the NAND? Is the stuff I listed in the first post a real issue or just my imaginary concerns?
Also, bit offtopic: what could have been my mistake when changing the digitizer on the Ace?

I certainly don't like buying them when think well used on Android, a lot of flashing can indeed bring up nand issues. Other issue with HD2s pushed hard on android is BGA issues with cpu due to higher running temps.
Expect your digitizer was due to flex connection or rough handling, to do hd2 digitizer really well does require experience, the first one will never be best & without precise strip down & handling many things can be damaged ...
Any advices for replacement HD2?
Thanks.
You can use swappa.com to try to find one (please do not use this site for buying/selling as it is against our rules). They should go pretty cheap as how old they are.
The HD2 was my all time favorite device and I spent a lot of time on these forums in the HD2 section, flashing different builds of WM, WP, and Android daily. But the hardware is so old that it really makes no sense except for nostalgia.

There is still android development occurring, we already have good kitkat builds, a new 3.0 kernel and people are working on lollipop ATM. I suppose it depends on the price really.

if you can find new that is beyond belief and really really GOOD! If refurbished, be aware of those... Good mint condition used unit may be the best bet... good luck.
Of course a new one. If it used, who knows what the previous owner did to it.
I'm considering to buy this smartphone. Although it is not the newest one and the best on the market it could be interesting or me.
I can purchase european/italian version through official channel, but it is not very cheap € 319...
Keep in mind that I want to use it with the official CyanogenMod, so unlock bootloader, flash TWRP and install new ROM
Now I need the opinion of owners of such device ...
Are there known problems o the oneplus two (2) which advise against purchase ...?
I noted that it is not very followed in the various forums, unlike his predecessor, and that the modding more limited it seems to me
Your opinions, please ...?
Thanks, in advance

in my opinion i love my Oneplus 2. Default oxygenos gave me too many issues so i made the switch to ParanoidAndroid and have not had any problems other than user error. I haven't played around too much with cyanogen but in hear this phone handles it surprisingly well as long as you get a good build. I say if you feel like going ahead then definitely do it. Modifications to software don't void your warranty so no worries there.
Thank you for your feedback

I believe is still a great phone for the price considering the specs, there are a few guys having trouble with the fingerprint sensor from time to time (happened to me once) and some guys have had their second sim messed up by either flashing a rom or by some other random action. Anyways I recommend you try buying it from swappa as from time to time there are people selling mint condition phones along with a few accesories (styleswap covers, cases, etc... ) from less that the money a new (but without accesories)phone would cost. I got mine (64gb version) from swappa.com with 3 original styleswap covers, 3 cases and a template glass for $235 which isn't too bad in my book.

Hi everyone!
As my ZUK Z2 got stolen, I'm currently thinking about buying this phone... But I'd like you all to tell me what the pros and cons are. Also I have this doubt: When it comes to "LeEco Le Pro3" on xda... does it include "elite version"? 'cause the one I'm thinking about is the "x722" one, which is called "LeEco Le Pro3 elite" and I do not know whether all this development belongs to sd821(x720, x725 and x727) or sd820(x722).
Thanks in advance!
The x727 and the x720 are the same phone more or less. I have the x727 and it's been a good phone. However you need to work on it - put a custom ROM for it to really be worth it. Also with Leeco's troubles I'd say a warranty isnt there despite what some sellers lead you to believe. Still it's fast good screen sounds good with stereo speakers.
I'm sorry to hear about your Z2. And there are two distinct development sections for the Pro3 in this forum. One is specifically for the x722. Scroll down.
The x720 and x727 have the Snapdragon 821 and NFC. The Elite (x722) does not, and has a Snapdragon 820. The x722 is a good phone but I often find myself needing more storage. 32 gigs simply isn't enough if you like to listen to music and game on your phone. Performance is good. There are now custom Oreo ROMs for the device.
My only issue is crappy build quality and some screen issues (just read through 2 pages of this Q&A sub-forum and you'll see what I mean) and no official kernel sources. Only the x720's kernel sources were released. We work off those, and that means buggier ROMs. If you can, get the x720 and get a variant with more than 32 gigs of storage. You'll thank me later.
It's also all too easy to brick this phone, and there's no QFIL file to revive it. I know the Z2 has a QFIL file. Well, so does the x720. But the x722 doesn't have one.
And the x720's QFIL doesn't work for the x722. So if your phone gets permabricked somehow... you're screwed forever, unless someone is able to provide us with an alternate solution. Just look at my signature and this forum's sticky.

I wanted to chime in and add to what everyone else has said.
In my opinion you should buy the X727 or the X720. I have 2 X727's and 2 X522 ( my Kids) and I absolutely love these phones, I saved so much money and bought my entire family a phone for less than I paid for just one phone is the past.
I have not seen the X722 in person. But I must say the quality of the X727 is as good as any phone you will find. I also have a Samsung Galaxy S7, it sits in a drawer and never gets used at all, not anymore.
My only complaint with the X727 was the stock software. This was resolved by upgrading to a custom Rom and there is alot to choose from 6 or 7 different versions of Nougat ( Paranoid, Omni, AICP, Revolution Remix, Lineage) and and an equal amount of fully supported roms for Oreo ( Lineage, AICP, AOSIP,Pixel Experience, as well as a few roms that you can find on other sites)
The development community is strong, full of very helpful people that will be glad to help you if you need help or have a simple question. Additionally, with the X727 and X720 you can use the outstanding Pixel ported Camera ( Not sure if it works for the X722)
I hope this helps.
PS: If you buy the phone, consider buy it on Amazon, they provide an excellent warranty and will fully reimburse you if anything goes wrong.

I do not see the situation so pessimistically. BTW, I checked the hint of tsongming, the MallStop sells on Amazon the Le 3 Pro for $188 the 4/64 GB version. What a steal!
My X722 (Elite/SD820 4/32GB $200) lost its EUI 5.8.020 very quickly - what a load of crap it is!
The Lineage 15.1, albeit in "version 1.0" unlocks the power of the HW perfectly and beautifully. Even Lineage 14.1 (Nougat) is quite usable.
The stand by discharge is 0.2%/hr, fast charging with conservative 2.5 A, adjustable OS performance ... everything works for me just fine.
Exceed my expectations, alright.
Warranty? Who needs the stinky warranty? At that price, I'd toss the bricked phone and buy another one.
Le Eco has a firesale. There won't be many at that price for too long. https://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-leeco-letv-le-pro-3-x722
Thank you all guys... What I've seen so far is that I'd be more convenient to buy the x720 one due to its posibility of reviving by QFIL (special thanks to @sk8223 for clarifying about QFIL). I like testing new things over my phones and wouldn't like to mess it up for forever (besides the fact of losing my money)... So I think I gotta set aside more money and buy x720 version.
Thank you all for replying!!

Yeah, but it might cause your device to be detected as an x720. But there's a simple build prop fix for that in the x720's QFIL thread.
Also, used phones from third-party sellers on Amazon or from even U.S. retailers aren't necessarily good. There was a thread here a while back about someone who bought an x727 locally in the U.S. through Google Express and their phone ended up BSODing.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/help/bricked-le-pro-3-727-blue-screen-death-t3760266
You always take risks when buying these types of discontinued devices.

I read it completely... I'm a little scared now. I do not want to get a BSOD... I have the option to buy the x722 version at US$159 (totally new) but i wouldn't like to brick it, I'm always testing things on phones and it's not easy for me to set aside money. I thik I'll have to take the risk.
BTW, any page to see discounts on smartphones? (skipping kimovil.com)

I don't know of any discount pages. Just Google for coupons for the store you plan to buy from. I saw the x722 get discounted to $130 USD and lower with cashback. A definite buy at that price. I bought mine for that price but I now realize that the 32 gig version is simply too little for me. I can barely fit my music collection on there let alone games for emulators like PPSSPP or Android games. Only 3 gigs of storage left so I plan on selling this device now that I have a Redmi Note 4.
Don't get me wrong, it's a good phone with a way better build quality and specs than the RN4 but no headphone jack + expandable storage = massive mistake. I can get used to no headphone jack but not 32 gigs of storage... takes me back to my iPhone 5 days. I wish I could keep it but alas.
If you buy it new online you're still taking a risk, but that risk is mitigated if you pay via PayPal and record your unboxing. Make sure you test every feature possible on camera so you have proof if something goes wrong.
I would not recommend buying this the company who sell this is bad shape.
I should you give them the money if they will not back their product.
I hope they sink the rest of the way!!

Hi all,
Does anyone know what roms are compatible with the Tab A 10.1 2019 version? I see a lot of roms for 2016 version but not for the 2019.
Running stock Nexus, and I don't have any complaints except that you hardly can customize it yourself. I have a bought icon pack but can't use it for example.
Greetings Rick
I've actually just flashed a number of ROM's for this baby in the last few weeks - there are plenty to play with.
I settled on this as I think it was the best overall:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...rom-nexus-stock-2019-galaxy-tab-10-1-t4056233
Have fun.
Thank you for the time to respond Where are you looking for when finding a Rom. Im on Nexus stock aosp based. But there are still some things I would like to see different. As I only use the tab for 1 game. Still chrashes, issues with keyboard. So I don't mind customizing it.
Greetings from Holland
Yeah it's a good tab, for its price. So I'm kinda buffels by the fact that there is hardly one on this forum.

There are two other custom ROMs for the T510. LOS 17.1 and a Nexus version based on Android 9. I've been using the Nexus 10 one for months and have never had a crash or keyboard problem. Maybe it is the one game you play that has the problems.

Always a posibility, still i seem to have a habbit of trying stuff out.
Don't know if I should post this under OP but it's in the same line of it. Like I said love to tinker around with software for 10 years ago or something I got a budget phone that in the end would not update Android anymore so that was the moment I came to the conclusion that my model then was a better version of the original. Kinda like in this case, tab a 2016 and 2019 will differ in chipset etc. But tab a is tab a. So I started to go head in and toke a dive into the Android world, met some interesting people including the legendary Mr Carvalho. But... Im not posting this because I like to write or want you to read a book so let's cut to the case, im reading up a bit with customizing etc. Starting where I left off, installing ADB drivers again MTK drivers C++ all that good stuff. But then I kept reading, and correct me if I'm wrong but did you guys crack the code? The sometimes impossible to port source code? Or am I getting that GSI wrong. The software from the OD will be used to power the custom Rom so finding and combining code is almost a thing of the past? I tried to flash one last night to see if it really was that easy. Managed to get the tablet into a recovery bootloop. Installed the Nexus Rom again now the Los version. So I guess I did something wrong I think to know what it whas but before I make a paperweight from it, I think it's better to ask first.
So GSI, restrictions? Things to look for. Is it possible on this device?
Device is Treble ready
Supports A/B Arm
So it should right?
Off topic. This is a question for the Nexus Rom. Why are some Samsung features disabled? Like screen recording. Used multiple now all end up recording 0 or no internal audio. Other Samsung features like the camera, mail service etc. Only thing I'm searching for is the screen recording function with internal sound. Anny way to enable it or an alternative?
Thanks in advance.

So I would like to start by saying great job, I agree with house things where set in place in the long run, I would say lets wait on future runs, just because it was future runs that caused an issuee. Either way thqanks for the recommendations but this seems like it will be a judge appointed issue., i appreciate everything but+
I use the Nexus, Android 10, AOSP-based rom from Magedanz. I works great, I tried LOS 17.1 and LOS based Nexus as well, but settled on the AOSP based due to the lack of support of the 400GB microsd I have in my T510 from LOS and the LOS based Nexus rom not able to read my microsd. The AOSP rom read it just fine and was able to format it correctly.
