Hi Everyone,
I have an issue with my Oneplus8 pro and below are the details
1. The device was working perfectly. I was interested to root the device and install a custom ROM.
2. The method used was to try and flash a patched boot image for the device but I think i landed up using a wrong boot image file.
3. The OS was on 10.5.10 if I remember correctly. I used a patched image file I suppose of an older firmware. Now restarts and goes to "QUALCOMM Crashdump mode". The only options are
a. reboot to fastboot mode
b. flash the TWRP for Oneplus 8 pro but that doesnt mount by storage so cant really transfer anything to flash again.
Requesting some help to fix the issue and apologies if i have not explained correctly.

Hi guys, I might need some help or a walk through here, I might have bricked my phone. I stump-rooted my phone ( 4.4.2) and installed TWRP Recovery 2.8.1 initially , Installing SuperSU which patched my sdcard and rebooted causing my phone to get stuck in a boot loop giving me no access to download mode, just recovery. From there I tried to install Cynogen mod 12 in TWRP recovery to fix the bootloop but any attempt at flashing gave me an error "error executing updater binary in zip." So I extracted the folders and flashed the 2.7.0 recovery.img which sayed it worked but now my phone is still stuck in boot loop, no download mode and when I try to enter recovery I get stuck in fastboot mode with port change errors. I took some screenshots so it would be easier to help me out. Every time I plug in the USB I get the following errors, the screenshot is from continuous attempts
I have the mini sdk installed and Koush drivers. Device manager does not recognize my phone anymore but it does come up under Fastboot Interface
Any Help would be greatly Appreciated
Because I'm a new member I can't post screenshots so just add an h infront of the links.
Thanks in advance for all your help

Can you please explain how to do that WITHOUT entering download mode?
Maybe LG Flash recognizes your phone and will do the job.
LG Flash does not recognize my phone at all. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-unbrickable-fix-real-hard-brick-t2904404 Do you think this method will work?
Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this problem ..
Background:
- Was running Oxygen OS and went to update it to the new beta, booted into TWRP, flashed the file and rebooted - nothing happened, black screen with a constantly lit blue LED.
- Back into recovery but it didn't ask me for a pattern so it no longer recognised the encrypted partitions.
- Ah well, erased everything a few times and booted back into recovery to flash a new ROM, TWRP loads but no longer responds on the touchscreen, it's stuck at the "swipe to allow modifications to system partition" screen
- booted into fastboot, reflashed TWRP, same deal, Tried all 3 available versions but no difference. Also tried the clockworx build.
- flashed stock recovery and tried to sideload the rom but the first time it bombed out at 48% or so, now it just stops with "Xfer 0.0%" ..
- Saw this thread here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/unbrick-tool-oneplus-5-t3648169 and downloaded it but the MSM tool does not recognise any connected device even though I have "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 COM23" in the device manager
I'm going pretty nuts now so any tips appreciated :/
Cheers
K

Hi! I believe that I am in the same boat as you were. On short: was rooted & wanted to stock. Flashed stock recovery & last OS from oneplus site and got stuck in boot. Afterwards I was no longer able to see my device in the stock recovery adb install....
Can you give me a hand please! Thank you!
Edit: Got it to work with the qualcomm method
Hello,
You should install Hydrogen OS to unbrick your phone.
After that install TWRP and then install the full rom OOS 5.0.4.
Hello everyone,
by mistake i deleted the OS on my LG G6, i tried to reinstall a new OS from TRWP, but i ended up getting a bunch of errors (the phone failed mounting /data and /storage). I tried to fix that by changing filesystem, but the phone got stuck in the middle of the process.
After a reboot, i find myself stuck at the recovery boot screen. Since the OS is no more, i can't even enable the USB Debug option to use adb commands.
Is there no hope for my phone? What should i do? Thank you in advance! (Sorry for my poor english!)

There is no problem just flash stock rom using LG UP
if u had a problem just ask
Or download a Stock ROM and flash it with TWRP.
Put in download mode and flash KDZ file with LGUP
or
Boot into fasboot mode and use CMD or terminal to flash twrp
or
same as above and use all-in-one tool to flash recovery etc.
Loads of ways to fix this issue
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
I successfully rooted my Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520TL) using Magisk, but wanted to restore the phone back to its factory firmware. I used the uninstall option in Magisk but this reported that it could not find the backup boot image. Unfortunately I then made the mistake of following unroot steps on other sites rather than this excellent resource. Long story short I somehow managed to lock the bootloader again so when I try to use fastboot to flash any image I get the error "FAILED (remote: not allowed in locked state)".
When I turn on the phone, on the ASUS splash screen it says...
Red State
Your device has failed verification and may not work properly
Your device will boot in 5 seconds
… ie boot loop.
Q) What can I do to get my phone usable again? I searched this site and found lots of info on how to unlock the bootloader and how to root, but nothing about how to stop the boot loop.
I do have access to the Recovery mode and see options such as "Apply update from ADB" and "Apply update from SD card" but I am unsure if these will help?
Thanks again for any help and/or links to solutions on this site that I missed.
I was caught in similar situation, due to unsuccessful flashing using asus flashtool, I ended up flashing stock firmware (not the raw firmware) via recovery and everything was back to normal.
Thank you... but...

Thank you @sanctitude888 so much for your help. I'm new to rooting but keen to learn. What's the difference between "stock" firmware and "raw" firmware? For example I can download the device firmware from ASUS and extract the boot.img file (ASUS no longer provides the recovery.img file) but is this considered "stock" firmware or "raw" firmware?
You also mentioned you flashed via recovery. In Recovery mode I see multiple options such as "Apply update from ADB", "Apply update from SD card", "Mount /system", etc. Could you please be more specific on how you did the recovery please?
Thank you for your help.
Kind Regards

Okay, Let me explain exactly what I did here... I first flashed Twrp using SP flash tool which worked without too much problem. Then I attempted to install the latest super su zip which told me the boot.img was already patched and it could not find a ramdisk... So I moved on and flashed the latest Magisk zip which flashed no problem. Rebooted the device and it came up with a red boot state telling me it would boot in 5 sec. It did not boot at all. Turned off the tablet and rebooted into twrp again. I then flashed the OTA update system.img, boot.img, and re-flashed twrp from twrp itself instead of the SP flash tool. It booted into twrp no problem, however now it said it could not mount the system partition. I did a full data wipe, factory reset, rebooted into twrp again. Same issue. So I attempted to re-flash the firmware with SP flash tool. Did not notice i had it set to format and download and not only download. It said formatting for maybe 2 sec and gave me an error. Now the device will not turn on at all... no screen whatsoever, no recovery, etc... I have had no luck getting the asus flash tool to even recognize a com port however SP flash tool seems to be able to flash the device no problem. I extracted the .raw firmware file I have for the latest firmware, modified the scatter file to allow flashing all partitions, and I did a full firmware flash of the device using SP flash tool. However it still does not turn on... it does nothing... So I'm assuming that I accidentally formatted over the bootloader... And I cannot find a bootloader flash file for this device anywhere... So I'm stuck with an Asus ZenBrick... Does anyone know a way to fix this issue? When I plug the device into my computer and open device manager it switches between the preloader and mtk serial port very quickly not staying on either one very long. I'm assuming this is why I cant get the asus flash tool to work and SP flash tool works off just the initial preloader. I just bought this tablet from someone and managed to hard brick it in less than a days time... Any help at all with a way to revive this device will be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance to anyone who tries to help me fix my mess up.
