Moto G5 Plus not being detected under adb devices.

I had rooted my Moto G5 plus a couple of months back, I had to relock the bootloader and install the stock recovery and rom due to some reasons. I followed a thread on this website which had all the files and commands given to restore stock rom. Later, I decided to unlock the bootloader again. I followed the steps to unlock the bootloader but, my device isn't appearing under adb devices so, I am not able to do anything. I have installed all the moto adb drivers and checked oem unlocking and usb debugging under developer options but, my device doesn't appear under adb.
I used the following thread-
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/stock-firmware-npn25-137-67-5-fastboot-t3694738
Everything in that guide is done in fastboot, so if you're in fastboot when you're trying to find your phone, try "fastboot devices" instead of "adb devices"
So, how do I follow the steps on moto's website to unlock the bootloader?

For some reason,
Code:
adb devices
didn't work for me right away.
I skipped that command and just ran
Code:
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
and that worked and I was able to continue with the process. Perhaps try that and see what happens.
Drivers must be installed too. This thread helped me:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/how-to/unlock-bootloader-lenovo-motorola-moto-t3581133
Another thing that didn't work for me:
USB Dev settings must be disabled in order to mount USB File Transfer Mode (MTP). After updating to latest version, it seems that has been fixed so I don't have to do that anymore.

[GUIDE] How to unlock the bootloader of Honor 5c [Easy][Download Files included]

Hi today I will show you how to unlock the boot loader of your honor 5c. I have designed this thread in a Q and A format.
There are two questions
A.What are the requirements for unlocking a boot loader?
B.How Can I unlock my phone's boot loader ?
If you know the solution to one of the question then refer to the next .But read it carefully. Best Of Luck.
A. A.What are the requirements for unlocking the boot loader?
You should backup your phone. Store all you files on your pc or by using a third party software. Your device will be completely wiped when unlocking the bootloader.
Use a PC
Download and install the USB Driver for Honor 5c http://bit.ly/2If7ISe
Download the fast boot files from http://bit.ly/2p0R7JN
Go to Huawei's website http://bit.ly/2z9EFhV create an account and enter your device details.
Copy down your device unlocking code.
Enable USB debugging by tapping the build number in Settings -> About 5 times, then going back and selecting the USB debugging option from the Development menu.
Enable OEM unlock in the Development menu.
B.How Can I unlock my phone's boot loader ?
After installation and download of the files.
1.Connect your device to your Personal Computer by using a USB cable. Make sure your PC recognizes the device. If not, there might be a problem with either the USB cable or the drivers.
2.Extract the tool.rar file.
3. Open MAF32.exe. A CMD window should pop up.
4.Type fastboot devices. A permission window will appear and grant the permissions.
5.Your device serial number should appear, if it is not there is a problem with the installation of the USB drivers.
6.If all goes well, type adb reboot bootloader
8. Your phone will restart into boot loader or fast boot mode.
9.After this type fast boot oem unlock xxxxxxx Replace the xxxxxxx with the unlock code you obtained.
10.Your device will now factory reset. That’s it.

Cant find the unlocking code on huawei's website?
Hey, i cant find the unlocking code on huawei's website? can u provide step by step guide on how to get the unlocking code on the huawei's website? Thanks in advance.
Dc unlocker is the only option right now
anyother way to unlock
Hi! I got a NEM-L21 (Honor 7 lite/5C). I want to root it and for that I understand that I need to unlock it first, then TWRP, then root? The real issue is the limited internal space, and EMUI has locked down so apps can't be moved to SD-card.
Does DC-unlocker and root still work on this phone? The problem I seem to have is that no COM ports are installed. However ADB still works. DC-unlocker won't find the phone because of no com port?. If I do "adb reboot bootloader" then DC-unlocker finds it.
Code:
Found Phone : NEM-L21
Model : Huawei phone in fastboot mode
IMEI : 123456789123456
Serial NR. : 8SC4C16A3000000
Firmware : NEM-L21C432B361
IMEI:860899034939631
FB LockState: LOCKED
USER LockState: LOCKED
locked
Battery state: 4354mv
In Windows 10, HiSuite is working and connecting to the phone fine too, allowing backups etc..
I tried "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" (the twrp image) but it doesn't work without unlocking:
Code:
target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending 'recovery' (31572 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.831s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.842s
Hi, I'm posting this message because I found a tool that worked to unlock the bootloader of my 5C! Plus it only took 10 seconds, I certainly got lucky. It's a python script, you just have to type your IMEI and it starts bruteforce (Certainly makes sense in relation to the IMEI).
Tool : huawei-honor-unlock-bootloader
you can find it on GitHub https://github.com/SkyEmie/huawei-honor-unlock-bootloader

Sorry to bring up this old post, but how did you succeed in unlocking the Honor 5C? I always get "fastboot: error: Command failed" as an error message. My phone has EMUI 5.0.4

bootloop, bootloader unlock not possible

Hi everyone,
my v20 h990ds ( stock without root ) is in bootloop.
When i tried the "DirtySanta" solution, i can do the steps on my device ( bootloop ). So i decide to unlock the bootloader.
I come from the nexus community, so i have searched for a solution by fastboot.
Now then i try to ask to the LG from my "unlock.bin" file, it says that my phone is not unlockable (wtf?).
Searching in to the forum, i read about the "download mode", but when i try to jump in, my phone reboot itself after 4 seconds. Is it normal?
Do you have another solution for my phone?

are you following the directions here > https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/development/dirtysanta-h990-t3624296
The dirtysanta hack is the unlocked bootloader, it installs the Eng Aboot specifically for devices that cant be unlocked.

I have tried several methods, like ADB, Kingoroot for PC, but no help. I have forgotten the exact error message but it was likely that I got an error saying TWRP image is bigger in size. I had unlocked the bootloader too. My model is Huawei Y3II LUA-U22, the 3G one. I want to start it over. Can someone help?

Revert Android 11 to Android 10...

I have been on Android 11 DP since it was released and for the most part it has been stable. Unfortunately, my password app isn't working and could take months for it to be functional on 11.
Has anyone had success reverting back to 10 from 11? I've tried more times than I care to admit, but have not had any success.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I've tried several times, but have been unable to revert back!
Take note of which partition you are on, either A or B, check this on the main bootloader screen at the bottom of the screen. After you see if you're on A or B, flash the March factory image. As soon as the flash completes, you need to go right back to the bootloader screen and switch to the opposite partition that you are on. For example if you were on A before flashing the image, you need to switch to B and visa versa. To switch, from the bootloader screen type: fastboot --set-active=a or fastboot --set-active=b
After switching the active partition, reboot the phone and you'll be able to boot into Android 10 and will no longer be stuck on the 11 preview.
