Hello, my motorola G7 has had the android 10 update. I saw that some users had the current temperature on the lock screen and a weather icon under the time (google pixel).
Is it possible to display the temperature on the G7 lock screen ? Thank you.

I got the ambient display on my S5 (G900F) form CM 12.1. Thanks to the gestures control, when I wave my hand it will display time, and the screen will light up. It's really cool, but it's easy to unlock the phone by mistake when the phone is in my pocket, because the proximity sensor detected a "hand wave". Once the ambient display is on, the phone just needs one swipe to unlock the phone.
I think the screen should keep locked even I tap the screen when it is on ambient display mode. Is there any way to achieve this function?
Sorry for my poor English
Hi everyone,
i have a question concerning Moto Display from stock firmware or Active Display from Cyanogenmod 12.1.
To me it seems if once activated by waving/moving the display never truly turns off again. Instead it stays "off" by displaying black color and hence its a LCD screen the phone gets hot and the battery depletes pretty fast.
Am i doing something wrong here or is this the way it is meant to be?
Regards,
sir-h
Even tho the phone is off, I noticed it lights up " a bit ", but it was too much for me at night so I turned it off ...
Mine turns completely off using Moto Display. No heat issues at all.
Hi everyone,
in the Moto Display menu ther's an option to turn off the screen for a specific interval of time.
I tried to set it up but it doesn't affect the Moto Display, it works every time.
Does anyone knows anything about it?
Thank you.
Any idea how to remove the lock screen wallpaper and just have the clock? Was intending to save battery life with this.
Just replace it with a static black wallpaper??
You could also turn off lockscreen entirely in the security settings, and leave the always on display with the clock under display settings.
All I can say is that replacing lock screen with AOD is not the way to save battery life, as OP wants. Moreover I don't think lock screen has any effect on overall battery life, regardless how it's set up unless phone is locked and unlocked constantly. Even if you unlock your phone 20 times an hour and each unlock takes 5 sec, it would accumulate to about 1 min 40sec total screen time, you can run your screen for about 5-6 hours on one charge.
Its happening because of the default wallpaper 4 (probably), just go to wallpapers and change to Default 7 wallpaper hope that will answer your query.
Is it possible to set it to display dual time zone (when traveling) on the lock screen like Samsung and Huawei phones?
