On the Poco F2 Pro we have this feature called Video Toolbox which allows us to watch or listen to media on apps that are not meant to work with the screen off, or require a subscription.
To use it First go into settings to enable it:
Settings/Special Features/Video toolbox/ switch to ON then go to "manage video apps" and enable the feature to work on the app that you wish
On this particular case we'll use youtube.
1: Open youtube and go to the video you wish and press play
2:Swipe to the right to open the toolbox

Checked out app setting in netflix. I don't see an option to have it play with screen off. Does your Poco F2 pro allow to play netflix with screen off either with or without the tool?
I mean picture in picture. Why you wanna play something from Netflix and turn off the screen???

You just have to see it to believe it.
It doesn't only find and play all YouTube videos but also other videos from a wide variety of sources on the internet!!!
YouTube videos works amazingly good FULLSCREEN even on my relatively slow HTC S710! There are versions of the app for both smartphone and PPC!!! And the best of all the app is completely FREE!

ahh you are right! thanks.
i prefer the desktop mode for chrome though, i have a scripted that always request desktop mode. So is it possible for me to use the aosp browser for google now and not have it link to chrome? google search doesnt give me an option to pick what browser to use like other apps do. The only way i can use something else is to uninstall chrome.
AOSP browser or any other one should work just fine.

Love the widget set, just seems like media utilities doesn't want to work properly on Android 5.1.1..it hasn't been updated by the developer since 12/3013. Do you know of an alternative to media utilities?

It might just be me then. I am running Android 5.1.1 on my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and it force closes when I try to choose a player and always defaults to stock music player. This may be an issue I want to take up with the devs. Great widget set though.
Hey guys
I've heard and read that 4k video recording is supported by SD650 and it is only disabled by sony in software so I was wondering if we could enable is after root?
it just needs to show up in camera addons
maybe if we change phone model name to Xperia xz it would show up, right?!
My phone is not rooted yet so I cant test it myself
Follow this thread. It also works with X Compact
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...to/root-how-to-enable-sonys-4k-video-t3406075
You can install open camera from play store. It records 4K videos.
If you take a little more attention I said I wanted to enable sony stock 4k recording and I already got my answer
Thank you for pointing out though
You mean it does work on your XC? This post says it doesn't : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70628011&postcount=13
You've installed Android N?

Well to be honest I havent tested it yet, Im gonna test it tomorrow but yeah as you mentioned the post it seems that it might not work, however there should be way to make it work if we had some developers lookin into it
I tried once again, camera starts but there is something wrong as you can see in the left down corner. If i start recording the camera freezes.

Hi,
I have a Fire HD 10 (2017) tablet, debloated with "Amazon Fire Toolbox" v4.2, with the Prime Video app still installed. The app runs fine, but I cannot watch any video on it -- every time I start one, it says "video unavailable". I tried restoring all the apps just in case, but the problem still exists. The videos are fine when I use a web browser.
Some more information: In addition to using the Toolbox, I unsuccessfully tried to root the tablet with Kingoroot a few months ago. The tablet does not currently have root access. Hulu works fine.
I wonder if anyone knows what caused this. I am hesitant to contact Customer Service at this time since I am doing all these tweaks, but I hope if there is a simple fix to that. Thank you

No, I am not using the Google Play version -- I "restored", i.e. unhid it using "pm unhide" in the adb, therefore it is supposed to be the stock version of the app, if I understand correctly.

Oh in that case the amazon video app is probably dependent on another package. You'll probably need to unhide more apps until this will start working. Sorry I can't be of more help.
