forgot screenlock pattern - Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Questions & Answers

Hi,
Somehow I managed to forget my screenlock pattern (changed before lockdown) on my Samsung j7pro j730GM and it does not show any recovery through google password or similar. I need some help to recover access to my phone (preferably without factory reset).
This is the current situation of my phone:
- NOT Phone Rooted, all default
- Currently logged in with my google account on the phone, but can't access it over the google account (i kind of disabled history and other features in my google acc).
- Also "Unknown Sources" should be enabled on my phone.
If there is any way to recover the password via ADB, or to unlock the Data, that would be just awesome...
Thanks for any help.

Should try using Samsung Account, it can override the screen lock, of course after a two-factors authentication...
I just did it yesterday for a securuty test, works like a charm.

Thank you Saponetto, I will give it a try today. Is samsung account a software or i need to register to website you mean?
Ciao Saponetto. Il Samsung account, sul sito della samsung vuoi dire? devo registrarmi?

Yes, this is the simplest way to gain access to your locked phone... Create a simple account at https://account.samsung.com, then access to "Find My Mobile" page.
There you will be able to reset Password or PIN.
Fast and easy.

Lost password... hacked

Hi,
someone hacked my gmail account and changed the password + the recovery email. so i cannot change my password from my desktop. my mt3g was automatically updated with the password and it wants the new password.... is there any way i can change my password from my mt3g.....
PLEASE - i need help cause my credit card number is on there.
if I was you I would try to work with google to regain access to your gmail account. I would also call the credit card company and put a hold on the account until you get this all squared away
Other than that I have no idea how to hack the lost password.
You could boot your phone into recovery and reflash a rom. Then setup a new gmail and password until this all gets squared away.

why would you reflash your rom? Just go into the settings menu and do a factory reset, then itll run you through the gmail sign in prompt

LOL yeah
Sometimes the thread starter would be better off without some noob suggesting a stupid solution!
Anyway's i dont think the one who started this thread is so stupid he doesnt know he can make a new google account, and also sure its far from the answer he's looking for.
Dont know the mt3g but none of the rom's i tryed had the posibility to change the password as far as i noticed. And anyway if any of them had this feature you should expect that it would prompt you for the current password before you would be able to change as a security.
Good luck getting your g-account back!

Don't even need to do that. Just go to Application Management, choose Google Apps and delete the data and the cache. Then launch gmail, and it will ask you to set up an account.
You keep all your other data this way.

too many pattern attempts phone lock

I just got a new my toch slide unable to login too many pattern attempst phone is asking for email adress to login and password. Can some one help
All you need is to re-enter your Gmail email and password.
If you says your gmail username/password is wrong, a master reset needs to be done.
Esp if you verify it works on a computer.
Yeah you probably will have to do a reset. Don't forget that login info!
you can try this
Try this:
It was all about this "Two-Step Verification" security of google!
I tried everything... and I mean EVERYTHING (except flashing my XooM), but at the edge of giving up, I signed into my google account and issued an "Application Specific Password" for Xoom from my Google account.
I used my [email protected] with that Application Specific Password and it worked. (do not enter spaces in the password)
Let me know if it worked

Can't sign in to Google. Google FRP? Google Account Manager Error

2 days ago, I factory reset my Mi A1. After that, I have't been able to log in to Google account anymore.
It gives me this error, "Couldn't sign in."
Keep in mind that before I had it factory reset, I had logged into Google account without any problem.
That error seemed temporary so I just skipped through Welcome page (1st boot) and factory reset the phone again. Even after this, there was still the same error.
I installed Quick Shortcut Method and found Google Account Manager showed error. I tried installing a latest Google Account Manager apk but it still didn't work.
Next I tried installing latest Google Play Services apk and still I couldn't connect to Google servers.
Now I'm tired and frustrated, I unlocked the bootloader and downloaded the default ROM and flashed it. To my dismay, the problem still persists.
Please help me out
P.S- Can't post external links (New user)
Do you have the possibility to try with a different Google account? It'd be worth to see if this is an account problem or a general problem. Frp shouldn't be the problem because it wouldn't let you skip adding a Google account during setup but would require you to login to the account associated with the device. Also, have you tried using either WiFi or data to add your Google account?
@dibyansumohanty
If you have a sim card installed in slot 2, move it to slot 1.

Thanks in advance.

It's too late now but he should have made sure the OEM unlock was enabled under Developer options in settings before any reset or wipe. There is no easy way now to get around the Google login but it can be done. It is a complicated procedure involving flashing a particular ROM from Sammobile with Odin and then tricking the device into letting you install a Google Account Manager app and creating a new account. Search through the Q&A threads for FRP and the user "Beut" and watch this video.

Please note that requests like this are generally removed from XDA. This is because claims of "forgotten" passwords and the like are often (= usually) rather dubious. You have the benefit of the doubt on this occasion.

P9 Lite Problems with Google Lock

Hello,
my Grandpa owned an Huawei P9 Lite for a while and he used his Google account with some random Name.
Everything was good until yesterday where I failed to install the update, bricked the phone and was forced to re-flash the firmware which caused Google Lock to trigger.
The problem is that my Grandpa is now dead since three months and I only know his e-mail address but don't know the password and the recovery mail where I have access to it : P
My provider don't want to help me because it is an Software problem which isn't covered by the warranty.
Is there any method to bypass this crap or is there any way to find out the password of the google account?
I tried every recovery option but I failed because I don't know the pin of the sim card which is registered to that account or because they asked stupid questions like what is the name of your mother...
I hope someone can help me since I was only able to go into trigger the phone into home screen by installing Apex Launcher using an YouTube tutorial but I always failed at the option where I had to log in into my google account using quick shortcut maker app.
**Solved**
Just discovered that my grandpa put the login and password information of his gmail account literary into the computer in the near of the hard drive XD
