Many former OnePlus users get used to having Shelf and we would like it to come back, the same OnePlus launcher apk, in 7 Pro offers Shelf, but they must have put something that disables it in 8 Pro. Many users (no root) waiting for a solution for this. Maybe, with an ADB command could be enabled ...?
I installed it once installing a previous version from apkmirror. I don't remember wich versión, Someone previuos OP8pro launch.

Hello there !
I was wondering if there is any way for me to use Stadia on my Oneplus 5 by "faking" what kind of phone I have ? Stadia is meant to be used on Pixel devices.
I have a rooted android
Thanks for your answers !
You can run Stadia on any Android phone by using the mobile version of Chrome and telling it to run stadia.com in desktop mode
mods can close/remove. Thx.
****forget to show system apps, found them, cried. WIll ADB later******
This is a cross-post I put up on Reddit as well.
I tried searching for any new info but couldn't find any updated info so...
Just forced install of the international variant on my 8 pro. Removed Facebook but can't seem to find those services anywhere in the settings.
I'm probably just looking in the wrong place but maybe some light shined out of the software gods butts and killed that nonsense.
Anyone else?
Hi Guys
I ordered today my Kindle Fire HD 8 and think that it is a 2020 version but will see this earliest by tomorrow. (It was a Demonstration tablet so I hope that it's a earlier version).
I don't like Phones & Tablets which are spying on me so the first thing I will do is to skip the initial setup and disable all unnecessary apps and features. But I have some questions where I would be very happy if someone can answer them:
- Is the installed (stock rom) os a "normal" Andorid 9 which is customised by Amazaon?
- Will I be able to run an alternative App Store like F-Droid on this device? (I don't want to use the Goolag Store and Services)
- Is Nova Launcher the only Launcher or are there any alternatives available? Is it possible to run maybe KISS Launcher?
- I know that there is no Custom ROM for the Fire HD 8 at the moment - but is it maybe in work?
thanks

HI, I'm looking for a solution to launch Dex mode from the Note 9 quick settings (or from settings->advance features ) as it's currently possible using Samsung tablets.
This was possible from rooted Android 9, tweaking the build.prop file. Now I'm stuck with Android 10 and even after rooting, I cannot find a way to tweak the system files/port tablet apks to launch Dex locally from my phone.
I know the screen is small, warranty is lost and Knox is tripped.. I don't care. I'm just annoyed I cannot simply flash android 9 and get that mod working again, due to bootloader version (3 vs 5).
I'm seriously willing to pay $/€ any developer for a solution to achieve this. If interested, please contact me.
Thanks

(DISCLAIMER: This thread is a repost, I don't know how to move my old thread from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/developing-wear-os-apps-for-ticwatch-gtx.4233191/ to this topic)
Hi there, I just recently bought a Ticwatch GTX, thinking it was installed with Wear OS, but turns out it was installed with a proprietary OS made by Mobvoi (I know... I'm really not careful). The reason why I bought the watch in the first place was to create Wear OS apps with it, but after buying it, I can't even find out how to enable ADB debugging... I've tried clicking each item listed in the Settings page (there is no Build number) 10 times, and none of them triggered a response or a toast message. Any help is appreciated.
I would assume it doesn't support ADB, and even if it does it has only 16MB storage which is probably all filled up by the OS and built-in apps, so I doubt you would be able to fit any other app there.
I found that both the ticwatch s2 and the e2 is priced at only $119.99 now, which is insanely cheap for a Wear OS watch, so you could get one of them, or you could get a refurbished Sport or Express for only 2 dollars more than the gtx.
I also found your post in the ticwatch forum and there you mentioned that this is for an assignment. I can se why you would want a physical device to test on if you are going to make several apps and publish them, but if it's only for an assignment I would think that using an emulator would be good enough
