Hello xda,
one week ago i bought a used S5 G900I with 5.0 stock rom, everything worked fine, i updated to official mm and everything worked fine too, and then i desided to do what i do with all my android phones to flash cyanogenmod as a daily rom.
I rooted it, flashed twrp, clean install all roms like:
cm12.1 cm13 official
temasek cm13
mokee mm
ressurection remix 6.0.1
and anything else i could find as 6.0.1 custom rom with cm base
i use cm13 as everything works fine except camera and flash as in ALL other roms
i flashed kltedv roms only all with clean install..
tried to return to official and camera worked but with custom roms its not working!
if everyone could give me a fix or what cause this, will be very appreciated!
thanks in advance!
whenever i try to open camera to take some pics or to record a video on my zuk z1 it shows can't connect to camera error (except in stock rom) i.e in every custom rom,so is there any fix for this?

Which custom rom you're facing this issue? Have you installed a nougat custom rom and not installed marshmallow firmware maybe?
i tried resurection remix rom,dot os rom. while installing those roms i simply wiped the cache, dalvik cache, system and flashed the rom and gapps... everything was perfect except the camera error.
i dont know about the marshmallow firmware.could you please give me the link for installation of that marshmallow firmware

Like this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/help/fingerprint-menu-disappeared-t3411565/post67628588 or any cm13 based rom.
I have a dual sim (XT1562) Moto XPlay with an AospExtended v4.6 Rom.
I'm not satisfied with this rom because I'm facing some bugs, sometimes there's battery draining, it suddenly shut off, data connection get lost, and the camera app is slower than the original one.
I really would like to come back to a stock rom, but I don't want to loose root privileges.
So my question are:
- is there in XDA a rooted stock rom (I mean, a stock rom with root priviledge)? Please, can you tell me which is its name or where I can find it?
- which is the cooked rom that looks more like the stock one?
Thanks in advance for your advices.

Solved installing this rom: [ROM][7.1.1][LUX]Debloated Os 1.6[Stock] by Miiiis.
It's a stock 7.1.1 rom, rooted with Magisk and debloated.
It works flawlessy and now my XPlay works great again.

I am running resurrection remix v5.8.4 android version 7.1.2 on my j5 2016. Since the camera quality of this rom's camera app is completely trash i considered flashing the stock samsung camera app. My question is: is this possible or will i get in trouble and by that i mean boot loops or incompatibility problems. Is it safe to do so?
Hey there I faced the same problem I tried installing stock camera apps but didn't worked then I found an update resurrection remix v5.8.5 in which all the issues r being resolved and my camera is working fine and also the flash light issue .but the only problem of all the resurrection remix is that it don't support volte. If u like to flash the update I would like to share the link of the new update of it .

Hi,
Recently after updating to the latest build of the Dirty Unicorns ROM my Google Camera stopped working all of a sudden, I thought it was a build.prop but HAL3 was enabled. I switched ROMs but still couldn't get it to work on any ( I tried RR, Lineage, CrDroid and AEX). On Stock it works fine after enabling HAL3.
I tried clean flashing oreo stock and then flashing a custom rom and clean flashing nougat and then a custom rom but none worked, if anyone knows how to fix this please tell!
