Has anyone been able install Windows 8 on vmware esxi 5? When I create a new virtual machine I set the settings for a Windows 7 PC. But when I boot from the dvd or iso image it disconnects and shuts down the virtual machine after it loads the installation files. (right after it boots from the dvd)

i downloaded the latest driver from HP for windows 7 x64, but no luck
it gives
"Fatal Error during Installation", "the OS is not adequate"
i can use the digitizer....and can touch the screen on lockscreen but in the desktop or the metro start menu, the finger touch is not working
i can see a small "ripple" that shows that the screen is actually identifying the touch. reverted back to windows 7 and i can use the touchscreen. any suggestions???
come on!!!!...anyone PLEASEEEEEEE!!!!...i beg you!!!!....i really want windows 8!!!..but have the above problem!!!
If the driver comes as an installer, run it in "Windows 7" compatibility mode, if that doesn't work try vista compatibility and then windows xp compatability. If that doesn't work, try extracting the installer (7z) as if it were a zip, goto device manager and try to force the drive install by selecting the driver manually from the directory you extracted it to.
Driver now available
You can now download the driver here:

Looks like your list of drivers for the phone
- Drivers (necessary/required) dont know what you meant, but I count that there is something
- HTC drivers
- Windows drivers
- Android drivers
First, uninstall all drivers for the phone, of course reboot is needed after that and then install these two: Windows Mobile Device Center and android drivers
Windows Update
After run HARET_PHOTON7227 and have fastboot screen, plug phone on usb and configure windows 7 to find drivers on Windows Update and install.
Hi, I can't sync my Omnia 7 with my new Windows 8 laptop.
I downloaded Windows Phone app (Zune replacement), its promting me to connect my phone to see whats on it, but it can't see it. I tried installing Samsung mobile usb driver (i8700_samsung_mobile_usb_driver_v5.2__v1.2.1050.0) but it isnt working.
On my phone I got this custom ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1571068
OS version: 7.10.8588.169
In Windows 8 Device Manager is my phone detected as Windows Phone USB Device, so its connected at least at some way.
Thank you for you help.
isn't the Windows 8 Device Manager only for wp8?
anyway i suggest you to try zune (you can install it on w8 NON RT, instead if you are running w8rt... i don't know)
Windows Phone app is only for WP8 and Zune IS working on Windows 8? I lived in a lie. Thank you it should solve it I think.

no driver worked......i try clean install of windows 7 and use my driver cd but,,there is no sound
So you formatted again and did another install of Windows 7, and it still doesn't show up? Is it onboard audio? Check the BIOS to ensure it's enabled.
Google brings up a lot of results, have you tried looking at them? What does Device Manager show?
If it still doesn't work, the sound card/motherboard if onboard might be dead.
I can't count on two hands how many people, including myself had this upgrade problem. Always audio or video.
Firstly, I'd check to see on the notebook/pc manufacturer website if they have Windows 10 drivers for your model. That's the best place to start.
Some older drivers are getting automatically updated through Windows Update. It seems Microsoft has encouraged some key driver updates. E.g. Intel integrated graphics.
Lastly, uninstall the driver, reboot your computer, now, install the driver again under compatibility mode for the version of Windows you have.
For audio, compatibility mode worked. Get this. My notebook came with Windows 7. The Windows 7 driver works (after about 20 attempts) but the Windows 8 driver doesn't. My understanding is that Windows 8 drivers are a bit more compatible with 10 than 7. But the 7 driver actually worked better.
Let us know how you get on.
