Have you tried dolphin hd & desktop toggle add-on? It makes the webpage to think that you are using normal desktop browser, so it should load properly.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
type in the address bar:
about:useragent
then select the user agent you want (Desktop more likely) and go to the page you want.
@fakename1 wow, is there any other hidden commands for Android browser?

Browser defaults to mobile instead of desktop

How do I get my defy to always display websites in desktop format? I want desktop to be my default settings so that all sites load this way and never realize that I am surfing the web from a mobile phone. I am using the default browser and do not want to (and should not have to) download a new browser.
What I did: I went into my browser, went to about:debug, went to UA string, and changed my option to desktop. However, most pages still load the mobile sites.
Does anyone know how to fix this? My phone is rooted.
Also, I have a tmobile bookmark and it is displaying as locked. How would I unlock and delete this bookmark?

Here's what I tried. Open browser, go to settings > advanced > user agent and selected Desktop. I then opened a website which has an android app but it opened up the website instead of redirecting me to get the app. I then changed the setting back to Android, restarted the browser and tried the site again and this time it took me to the app page. I'm using quarx CM9 on red lens defy.

I do not have an option in settings for "advanced". Are you using a default browser?
Here's a quick guide how to set the browser to show desktop versions of websites. Images are from Honeycomb 3.2.

Screenshots of Chrome 18.0.1025308 Android app
my kindle fire hd is not rooted.
i installed chrome on kindle fire hd and having this issue when trying to sign in.. i get "Sync: Android system sync disabled. Please re-enable and try again." message.
google apps such as google talk and youtube are working fine on my kindle fire hd.. which would mean that the sign-in is working for those apps.. chrome is having a problem. does the kindle fire hd have to be rooted for chrome to work? i tried this with chrome version 18. i also tried with chrome version 25 but sites like yahoo.com were not rendering on that version.. also syncing wasn't working (same error message).
appreciate your feedback. thanks.

It's my understanding, based on a review at CNet, that this version requires ICS. Since I have been unable to root my Kindle, I need the earlier version. I had it before I reset to factory but the dropbox link at the top of this thread is no longer valid. Could you re-post it please?
This latest version seems to work for me except I can't get to a login screen and synchronicity is one of the main reasons I love Chrome.

Where do i find downloads on chrome ?

I'm using h2os, latest update on my oneplus x e1001. I googled and it seems like there should be some app named "Downloads" or so, i just dont have it, neither do i have any options in chrome regarding downloads at all. Hope you can help me out.
It's there, but hidden from the app drawer. Whenever you download something from the net, the "downloading xxx" appears in the pull down status bar notifications. One click on it and the download app will open....
Dead Cookies leave no trails...
I just tried to download something, but clicking on the notification will just open it. As for pressing it would pop up some notification related thing.
Get a file manager, you'll find your files under downloads in the internal storage.
I have the default one but i moved some files and cant remember where. Thought there is such thing as a download manager just like in chrome on pc. Im a little dissapointed

Web pages doesn't load on Oneplus 5

Greetings,
So web pages doesn't load on certain apps like Google chrome stable, DuckDuckGo browser, Gmail (the loading circle keeps on spinning forever), and Inbox. The blue circle keeps spinning forever. Even the video ads don't load.
Though internet works just fine on apps like Youtube, Reddit, Firefox (Stable and Nightly), Chrome Dev, etc.
I have a rooted Oneplus 5 and this issue started after upgrading to Pie Open beta 22 yesterday.
I have tried:
Factory reset
Dirty Flashing
Reinstalling
Changing Wifi's
Mobile Data
Clearing app caches, cookies, and storage data
Please help me. Thank you.
Edit: Play store works fine for me.
Edit2: Completely uninstalling chrome from system and reinstalling as a system app works for chrome. But, this still doesn't work for Inbox, Gmail, and DuckDuckGo.
Edit3: Okay chrome stopped working again. Making it a system app disable webview app and makes Chrome the default app for implementation. So, it has stopped working again.
Edit 3: Okay either shell hide or magisk prop config modules from magisk were the problem. Removing them fixed it. Thank you everyone for your time.
Try Stable OOS
It happened to me too, try flashing previous ROM and it should work fine. But problem with Google Play Store Continues

But Play Store and Photos works fine for me. But searches from assistant or through Google Now don't work.
Weird, web pages are working fine for me. I'm using ob22, rooted and I deleted the compatibility zip.
YouTube isn't working for me though. Trying to find a fix. I can still go to YouTube.com though, just the app is broken

Have you updated your Android system web view app? Most apps are using this to load their content and be more light weight.

Go into Developer options and look for the Webview setting. Make sure something is selected. (As you have Chrome installed, select that).

I updated my WebView app. Still no luck. Tried completely uninstalling the app from system and reinstalling it. Didn't work.
Tried changing the WebView implementation from Webview to Chrome from developer options. Still nothing.

The Webview app was selected before, I tried changing it to chrome but still the same. Somehow uninstalling chrome completely from system and reinstalling works. But that still doesn't work for Gmail, Inbox, and DuckDuckGo. I tried all possoble combinations with Webview, Chrome, and Chrome Dev.
Edit: Okay changing chrome to system app brings back the problem.
