This Sub is effin confusing. Need help removing ads on a unlocked bootloader xt1625

1st off I've been on XDA for many years and this Sub-forum confuses the hell out of me. Threads are cluttered with talk over all the variants of the G4 which confused me on what I could do with my device. That being said here is my issue...
I just got a XT1625 G4 and proceeded to try to get the adds removed. Reading this thread. It failed so it said to unlock the bootloader via getting a key from Moto which they let me do and I am unlocked according to the boot screen warning and fastboot info reporting "flashing_unlocked".
I then ran the script again but the device was unable to boot and went straight into recovery with it reporting at the bottom "WE HAVE DETECTED AN ATTEMPT TO FLASH UNAUTHORIZED SW ON YOUR DEVICE. CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR ASSISTANCE." which I fixed by following this thread
Now reading more users say that this device can not have the bootloader unlocked (um mine is) and that amazon/moto have patched removing adds. Not sure what is true so I need some clarification.
Ideally I want to just flash a stock rom with no adds if possible and receive ota updates...can i?
OR remove the adds on the amz rom and get ots updates.
This phone is not for me so i dont want to have to fix it all the time. If this is not possible im going to send this amazon virus infected phone back....

I would honestly spring for the normal xt1625, you can even flash the nougat update on it since it's the xt1643 with a lower camera, no laser focus, and no fingerprint reader.

I got mine at best buy and did unlocks with no issues. It's definitely an Amazon thing. Like my old Moto g on Verizon I couldn't unlock.

FlashFire fails to run on rooted Moto G4 Play

Any luck with FlashFire on Moto G4 Play (or Moto G4)?
I have installed 'FlashFire-v0.52-20160718223301.apk' on Moto G4 Play rooted with SuperSU-v2.78.
When I try to run it, it starts and then closes without any messages

i have an issue with flashfire on cm 14.1
When I launch it, there is a warning screen:
Exclamation mark in a red circle
"Root access could not be acquired, or you are not runnign either SuperSU or (CM SU with SELinux set to Permissive). Are you rooted?"
Root access is enabled in "Developer options"

First, I rooted my Moto G4 Play with stock firmware using the GUIDE for Moto G (not Play). Then, I installed the latest version of FlashFore v.053.
So far, so good.
Before doing anything , I requested and obtained an unlock code for bootloader from Motorola

I solved the issue. It was due to the SELinux mode in "about phone" menu. couple of commands in terminal and it was solved.

Searching for MPHS24.49-18-4 OTA download

My device: stock Moto X Pure Edition, never been unlocked, rooted or modified in any way
Current version: motorola/clark_retus/clark6.0/MPHS24.49-18-3/3
Status: bootloop
Back in May when the MPHS24.49-18-4 OTA was released, my phone started the install then ended up in a bootloop (again, no customization, just something got corrupted and my own bad luck). I have files on it that I need to backup, so I didn't do a factory reset to try and eliminate the bootloop. I happen to have another Moto X Pure Edition, so I thought I would just wait for the next security OTA to drop, snag the download link, and then sideload the OTA to the bootlooping Moto X. For the past 7-8 months, it's been sitting on my desk and when I saw the good Moto X get an update I was super excited. I was able to download the Jan OTA (about 40MB) and attempted to sideload via ADB to the bad Moto X.
At that point I realized the bad Moto X never finished the May (49-18-4) OTA and I'm still at 49-18-3. I've managed to find full ROMs, but I'm wondering if anyone has just the OTA to get me from 49-18-3 to 49-18-4. As I said, I don't want to do a factory reset because I haven't been able to backup some important files. Really hoping just reflashing the OTA will eliminate the bootloop (it may not, but thought I'd give it a try).

it is written at fastboot menu that software modified will it mess with me getting update?
do i have to enable amazon app to get update?

[frp] [xt1622] moto g4 - fighting with frp (cant access developer mode)

Hello guys, i have a problem with moto g4 (xt1622), my sister blocked it with frp, and im doing everything to make this phone alive again. It have a nougat 7.0 (1 july 2017 security). I tried everything, The only way to do it is installing 6.0.1 or (maybe) nougat with max (december 2016 security). Everything would be fine but i cant access developer mode, tapping build name doesnt work. So.. i cant unlock bootloader. Have you any idea?

How did your sister block the device with FRP (did she remotely wipe the device or perform a factory reset on it)?
Whose Google account was used to log into the device?
I would not recommend downgrading your device, and at any rate you wouldn't be able to with a locked bootloader.
