FlashFire fails to run on rooted Moto G4 Play - Moto G4 Play Questions & Answers

Any luck with FlashFire on Moto G4 Play (or Moto G4)?
I have installed 'FlashFire-v0.52-20160718223301.apk' on Moto G4 Play rooted with SuperSU-v2.78.
When I try to run it, it starts and then closes without any messages

i have an issue with flashfire on cm 14.1
When I launch it, there is a warning screen:
Exclamation mark in a red circle
"Root access could not be acquired, or you are not runnign either SuperSU or (CM SU with SELinux set to Permissive). Are you rooted?"
Root access is enabled in "Developer options"

First, I rooted my Moto G4 Play with stock firmware using the GUIDE for Moto G (not Play). Then, I installed the latest version of FlashFore v.053.
So far, so good.
Before doing anything , I requested and obtained an unlock code for bootloader from Motorola

I solved the issue. It was due to the SELinux mode in "about phone" menu. couple of commands in terminal and it was solved.

[Q]Rooting XT1572 (EU Model)

Hi All,
This is just A quick question regarding rooting the XT1572 EU Model.
I’ve found two methods for this and just wondered which is the least likely to have issues and also it would be good to know which method you guys and gals out there used!?
I’m still not clear on whether there are any relevant differences between the XT1572 and XT1575 models since most users here seem to have the XT1575.
The two methods I found are:
[TOOL] WinDroid Universal Android Toolkit | Unlock | Root | Flash | Moto X Style
[GUIDE] Unlock/Root/Flash for Moto X Style/Pure
Just a bit of a heads up would be appreciated since its been over 3 years since I last rooted/unlocked so I want to make sure I don’t balls it up!
Cheers all!
I´ve done it with the tool. It works witout any problems.
I was unlocking bootloader and rooting with a tool. I have XT1572 - X Style.
Only problem that I had, was some sort of error at unlocking bootloader, but than I noticed in "Developer options" setting that is called "OEM unlocking". After enabling this option and rerunning this tool I finally unlocked bootloader and flash custom recovery, root.
I took the plunge, now rooted Nd back up and running within an hour. The backup facility reinstalled everything!
Only problem I had was TWRP didn't flash the first time. I ended up with the "no command" screen. Redoing the TWRP portion worked fine second time around.

Amazon XT1625 flashed to non-AMZ MPJ24.139-48 requesting OTA

Hello - I have the prime edition of the Moto but used rootjunkie's RSDLite method to put the non-Amazon version on (build number MPJ24.139-49)
My channel is still set to "amz" and the bootloader is locked. Today I started receiving a message about OTA to the new version of MPJ24.139-64.
Is it safe to install (I've seen others having issues but it looked like they have an unlocked bootloader)? How do I know if this is the Motorola version or the Amazon version (I do not want the ads back)?
I am in the same situation too. I have a locked bootloader and flashed the retail version using RSDLite. I'm on build number MPJ24.139-49. The software channel on my phone is "amz". This evening I also got a message about the OTA update to build MPJ24.139-64. Has anyone in this situation done the update?

I was in the same situation, updated and got the ads and Amazon apps back. Tryed to remove them and my Moto was stuck in fastboot mode until I managed to fix it. If you don't want the ads back don't update

Yeah, I can confirm the update puts back all of the Amazon stuff back on the phone. I was looking for a way to get back into the Amazon apps anyways so that I could get the future updates.

How did you apply the update, get rid of them and get back to normal? I've unlocked the bootloader and installed the systemless root, which I want to keep but I also don't want to skip security updates.

Right now I'm stuck with the ads, I couldn't find any way to remove them with this update yet.

I guess I'll hold off then. Thanks.
What are the options moving forward?
1) Is it possible to disable the device from continuously prompting to update? I went to Google Play Services and disabled notifications but that does not stop the system from prompting open the system update app and asking if I would like to update.
2) Can i install the non-Amazon version of the 64 ROM (I'm having difficulty understanding if this works on other threads)? If so, would that stop the device from hounding for system update (until the next release)?

Same problem here. Have turned of notifications in Motorola Update services but it has not stopped them. Tried renaming the Motorola OTA update app in / system but unable to due to no root. Do not want the ads but i don't want to be hounded to update either. I guess i will wait another week to see if they stop but if they don't i may take the update and then complain to Amazon about the ads being very intrusive and bright in dim lighting
I know you can't disable motorola update services but what about just blocking all notifications in the app settings for Motorola update services.
I just blocked moto notifications and will see if it works. If it does I'll report back.
Can I update to the non-prime 64 without any expected issues?
While blocking notifications did not work I was able to force disable the moto update does. This has to be done every time after reboot.
Has anyone successfully loaded the non-amazon 64 IMG on a locked Amazon xt1625?
You have to flash a blank but valid oem.img to block updates.
fastboot flash oem oem.img
I'm sure that the rootjunky website has it somewhere...

[HELP THREAD] Stuck in a "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" loop

[HELP THREAD] Stuck in a "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" loop
Hello,
I am using a Motorola Moto G4 Plus (12GB, Android Nougat 7.0) and i tried unlocking the bootloader/ flashing a custom rom because I already managed to do the same with my Moto G3.
After unlocking the bootloader I successfully installed TWRP 3.1.0 on my Phone.
I then wiped all of my data including the system and flashed Cyanogenmod 14.0 (2016-09-13 UNOFFICIAL athene) and installed open_gapps-arm-7.0-mini-20170603.
My problem is that when I booted my phone there is a message saying:
Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted.
To learn more, visit:
motorola.com/unlockbootloader
ID: N/A
Your device will boot in 5 seconds.
And i have absolutely no way of getting rid of it or shutting down my phone. Every 5 seconds my screen turns black for like one second and the message appears again.
I would appreciate it if you guys could help me access my phone.
P.S. It's my first time posting, please tell me when I did do something wrong

Ask and answered yesterday in help thread for example. Please have a look at here and the posts before and after https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...-question-noob-friendly-t3526598/post72528225 for the message at boot.
Because of your bootloop after displaying of the message your device can't be trusted": why you install the abandoned cm14.0? Use newer LineageOS or other supported roms instead of that discontinued one.
I think it's because of the newer twrp maybe. Did you tried an older version like twrp 3.0.2? Did you tried installing the rom without gapps? Maybe the gapps doesn't play well with the old rom?
I got same problem but i solved it.. if u need to solved this problem Flash your device. It works 100%.^_^

If you have nothing useful to say, say nothing. It can irritate new users.
I guess you should try some other ROM as suggested! You can go to Recovery by using Power+vol down Button for 5 sec... that should take u to bootloader and then recovery and other options!
Let me know if that works!
Ummm.. just read the post again... moto g4 plus (12 GB)... I hope that's a typo!

umm. why do you flash unofficial cyanogenmod instead of lineageos?
Try flashing the latest roms, with latest twrp and see if it works or not. If it still doesn't, flash stock ROM and start again. I hope you have a backup made.

Moto E4 issue after Motorola Official Update

Hi, people, how are you doing?
I'm trying to help a friend of mine who has a bricked Moto E4. According to him, he updated his Moto E4 with the official update and it started boot-looping after this update.
I tried to install the stock rom with SP Flash Tool but nothing has changed. Further, when I try to use the Fastboot mode, there are no information about SKU, IMEI, Product, etc and it suddenly restart when reaches the "No command" or "Android System Recovery".
Did anyone see an issue like that? I have recorded a video to describe better what is happening.

Pedro Rosa.

Moto g4 Amazon XT1625 manual update?¿?

Friends I want to update my moto g4 xt1625 amazon prime to nougat, I am in compilation 139.64 and the update does not arrive, so I would like to do it manually, I already have the software ATHENE_AMZ_NPJS25.93-14-4_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC but I would like to know how to do it I flash without losing my data and through fastboot or RDSlite if the method works. The equipment is original, bootloader locked and not root, it is like new, it just needs that little push to bring it to android 7.0.
lenovo moto smart assistant for android
Backup your data, use "Rescue and Smart Assistant Tool" rescue option to update to 7.0, restore data.
I can't post links, just google 'lenovo moto smart assistant for android"
