Could someone please, and I apologise for being that guy, a detailed revision of this method so that I could apply it to a LS993ZVF sprint Sim locked phone. I live in the morroco and want to use the phone on straight talk. Please be so kind as to provide current sites for any software needed. I greatly appreciate the time it will take as the phone would be provided to a family in desperate need of a Straight Talk compatible phone as I will be adding the plan and paying for the services I just can't afford a new phone and I had this one collecting dust. You wouldn't know the amount of appreciation both me and the family would have. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys,
1) I'm willing to pay for help on this.
Here is the deal. I'm doing a business plan on a new type of antenna we are trying to get put into new phones. What I need is some help on competition. So things like the current types of antennas in phones, who is producing them, what types are in what phones, and some details about the antennas. If anyone knows anyone in the industry or anything that can help me I'd love the help! Like I said if there is someone really knowledgeable and can help me 1-on-1 with this I will gladly pay

i'm sure some people will read your thread and it'll help them out! just letting ya know where the information already is; it doesn't hurt to try to help out though.
Yep, this info is nothing new. I don't know about ATT, but this same method didn't help me with my Verizon Droid 2 Global.
I called three times and all of those times they told me I need to be a Verizon customer.
Besides, they have CRM to store customer contacts in the database. If you try to contact them too many times it will show up on their records and they might think you are pulling some kind of a scam.
worked like a charm. was on the phone less than 5 minutes
I just called AT&T in the US and told them I was visiting another country for a few days. If you're a customer in good standing (no unpaid bills), they'll unlock the phone for you.
Still Works, Different Phone Number
I called the phone number that is posted on the original message, and I was told to call customer service.
1-800-331-0500
From there I put in my phone number and option 0 until I talked to someone.
I was given the unlocking code without any problem and was even told the AT&T website to deal with my wife's IPhone
I haven't tried the code yet, just hoping that it will all work out
request
I have one atrix and one sony xperia TL, but not have att account or number. i am in india. are you able to call att on my behalf and get unlock code for my phone

This does not work anymore. AT&T changed and restricted their unlock procedure A LOT. See here.
Update on At&t
At&t will no longer provide the unlock code unless you are a current or former At&t customer in good standing, pledge them your first born yadayadayada. They have previously unlocked devices for me, but even tech support isn't allowed to do it anymore. They will send you to the "unlock request" page.

It also differs from customer rep to customer rep
Some will charge you 50 USD to unlock your phone while others tell you to be on their contract for 90 days+
I got fed up with that so I just bought a sim unlocking code from cellphoneunlock and just got it unlocked
Screw AT&T
so i bought a sprint s4 thinking it was global so i would use it in the caribbean. put in the sim and it said invalid. call sprint and they told me i have to be a customer for 90 days and have a good standing credit with them. so here is my plea. anyone on the forum who has a sprint contract and number and willing to call and get my phone unlocked would be greatly appreciated.. i really want to use this phone and it's pretty much an expensive galaxy tab right now as i can only browse the net on wifi. so to any selfless members out there. reply on the post or pm me please
thanks

It doesn't work that way, it's not on their account, it's on yours. You could probably purchase a code, or try a chat rep, they usually oblige.
Hi,
We recently had a customer trying to do the same thing (unlock S4 from Sprint) however, we quickly found out that we had to refund them and remove the service from our site.
The unlock prompt isn't currently appearing when a non-accepted SIM card is being entered, so getting an unlock code at this stage would be pointless for you.
I don't have an answer (yet) but just a warning I thought I should add. Hope it helps. At least you're not alone!
Hello All,
I've been spending the last couple weeks researching the topic of flashing my Sprint Galaxy S4 onto the Verizon network. It is currently in service on Sprint. I don't want to do anything illegal and I'm not looking to flash onto the pre-paid plans. I just want my phone to work with their standard edge plan.
Most of the Verizon reps that I've talked with about this are very quick to dismiss the possibility and tell me I should just get one of their 'free' phones instead. However, I have been able to talk with a few that assured me it is possible and that Verizon would allow me to bring the phone onto their network. I'm more concerned with the 'let me' part, as I am fully aware that the phone is technically capable.
In the beginning of this process I was less familiar with the concept of flashing the information into my phone, but I've learned that this is an essential piece to the puzzle. I was hoping that Verizon would help me do so in order to gain me as a customer, but all signs point to 'no' on that front. I've been to the stores a couple times and talked with tech support / port department a few times as well.
After reading a ton on xda and various other places on the web, I've concluded that this something I should be able to do on my own. I have a technical background and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. Unfortunately, I feel like I'm missing something and I was hoping that someone would be able to help guide me toward the next steps.
A little background:
Prior to any of this, I had rooted my device, installed custom recovery, and a custom system 'rom'. After initiating the carrier switch research, I unlocked my sim following the excellent instructions here on xda and I unlocked my phone with the SPC/MSL from Sprint. I also changed the SPC to all 0's using DFS, since it sounds like that's what Verizon would want in order to help me. This particular device has not left my possession since the original purchase from sprint, so I'm not concerned about any 'bad esn' numbers or anything.
As I mentioned before, I've read quite a bit about this already but I feel like I was unable to derive the information needed for the next steps. I apologize if some feel like my 'search skills' are inadequate, but most of the articles/posts I've come across talk about flashing to prepaid using a 'donor' phone, which definitely sounds sketchy. Others are quick to offer 'flashing services' for a fee, or charge for special profile data and scripts.
From what Verizon has told me, I'll need a sim in my phone during activation so they can correlate the device serial with the sim serial in their database. This is apparently required to start a new line in their system.
TLDR;
I have tools to flash my device from sprint to verizon, but I'm unsure what magic values in the phone need to be changed to point to the Verizon service.
I know I need a Verizon PRL which seems somewhat easy to get, and perhaps change something like the MSID? Is there anything else?
Can someone please point me to more literature or give me a hint as to what I should search to learn more?
Sorry for the novel. Hopefully this can be useful to others as well in the future.
Thanks.
I'm in the same boat only I want to flash to Boost Mobile. I need a point in the right direction as well
I sold a phone on eBay unlocked Sprint LG G6. I was able to get it unlocked. My buyer made a couple phone calls and then the next day could not. Through research and speaking to multiple Verizon people we were told that each night it would reset the phone so that it no longer could be used on Verizon. Further researched I learned about the MSL code. First question to do this do you have to root the phone? 2nd question is how to do it step by step. And lastly what if any limitations should we be aware of.
I'm desperate because I just paid for my husbands 7 teeth to be pulled and now we need his upper dentures. If I get a charge back on this I can't. The customer loves the LG G6 but doesn't want to call every day to fix the problem, so please out of the kindness in your heart, if you can help, I really need it....:fingers-crossed::highfive:
Don't know if this helps but I read this, depending on the model phone, it's quite easy to use a Sprint PCS
phone on VZW if you can get the MSL from Sprint. Which is easy to do if you
still have, or know someone who has, a Sprint PCS account
In the past you could call sprint and tell them you needed the code for something and they'd give it to you. There's also a dialer code you can put in that'll give it to you. I just can't remember what it is it's been so long since I've needed that
Ken- I saw that too. Thank you btw, for being the only person out of 126 that commented. You at least reconfirmed what I thought. Please any one else???
Well, I found a way to get them completely unlocked for any carrier, both GSM or CDMA. Research helps.
