Hello,
I recently updated to the latest firmware for my Galaxy S10+ (G975U1UES3DTD5), and it's been stuck on "Finishing System Update..." for 3 days now. Restarting has had no luck on fixing it - it'll just start over and get stuck about halfway again. Any suggestions of what to try, before resorting to a phone reset?
Thanks!
Try wiping the cache from recovery. After that I'd try downloading the update and flash with odin
If that doesn't work try the wipe data from recovery
Was it an Ota update?

So first, I changed into cyanogenmod, it was successful though my sister didn't liked its "style" so I had to restore the stock firmware of jellybean 4.3 (XXUEMJ5_I9505OLBEMJ5_I9505XXUEMJ5_HOME.tar.md5) so i did a factory reset from the cyanogenmod settings and then flashed(it said my root access was lost after factory reset) using ODIN, everything went fine in the process in flashing, after my s4 reset 1st time a droid with a spinning thing on its tummy appears with the loading bar on its bottom and then resets once again I thought it was already good but my s4 was stuck on the SAMSUNG logo the blinking one. And then I downloaded a new stockrom the 4.2.2 (I9505XXUBMG5_I9505OLBBMG1_I9505DXUBMG5_HOME.tar and which was my original firmware the XXUBMG5), tried to flash using ODIN but it failed during the process, I'm about to download a new copy of the 4.2.2 version from the same site i downloaded from maybe it was corrupt?. Please help, me and my friend have done all things like using KIES that doesn't recognize my phone anymore, downloading stock recovery and such non works and so does my recovery mode after I access it, my s4 i9505 immediately restarts by itself after releasing my fingers and a lot of battery pulls. No luck please help me. I'm from the Philippines with an unlocked phone, International so I downloaded the XTE Region correct me if I'm wrong .
Please provide instructions if you have time .
After installation you have done this in the recovery mode wipe data factory reset and wipe cache partition
(can try with custom recovery - wipe and flash again)

Hello, I have just about the same problem as you do/did I haven't figured a way to fiz it. Any ideas?
I've got the exact same problem. Used the factory image to flash lollipop on my friend's Nexus 4 and it worked flawlessly. Next day he comes to me and says it froze and he force restarted and it wouldn't boot. Tried flashing the factory image again, tried flashing a several custom roms through twrp, and nothing will fully boot it will either loop or get stuck on starting apps. The only thing that has booted so far is the 4.1 factory image. Any ideas?
well guys help me out i am stuck in jeopardy
my device got soft brick i can boot into recovery but it is stuck on Google logo
what i did is tried to install flashable zip of 4.4.2 on 4.4 device nexus 7 wifi via CWM Recovery
it gave me Status 7 error
so when i restarted the device i got the message device not rooted click Yes to get root access so i selected that and since after that it got stuck on GOOGLE LOGO
so i restarted the device and tried flashing 4.4 kit zip it also gave the same error STATUS 7
even tried clearing DALVIK cache and wipe data / factory reset
couldnt get it Booted to OS
So Kindly give me the solution so i can Upgrade to 4.4.2 and get unbricked from this
Thanks in advance
Regards
I had an error in judgement and installed the OTA on a rooted and xposed out phone. Now the phone keeps booting into recovery to try and install. It but the screen just flashes the installing update bug droid every few seconds. Battery pulling just gets me back to the same screen. Is there a way to abort the installation?
Have you tried clearing cache in recovering mode?

Couldn't really get into recovery...it would auto boot into the the botched OTA update in recovery. I ended up flashing the firmware over Odin which did the trick.
My N910G that wont boot!
If I flash the latest TWRP I can access recovery mode and flash any ZIP however when the phone reboots after the installation of the new ROM, it always eventually gets suck on the NOTE 4 Logo after booting onto the Samsung Logo. I can access the the partitions in TWRP when I go to individually wipe them. I've noticed sometimes the phone doesn't remember when tick the checkbox for "dont show this message again" the first time you've booted into TRWP.
Things I've tried:
Full restore using the latest N910G firmware. (XSA-N910GDTS1DPH1-20160728112745)
Using the PIT file for a N910G and restoring the full original firmware
Clicking "NAND Erase All" in Odin and using the PIT file for a N910G and restoring the full original firmware.
Every time I do anyone of the above options the phone reboots then goes into stock recovery where it works for a little bit then restart and eventually gets stuck on the Samsung logo or reboots and gets stuck on the Note 4 Logo.
Any help would be MUCH MUCH appreciated, if anyone can help me get the phone working again I will gladly buy them one month to samsung-firmware.org or pay them the equivalent into palpay.

After installing a new Rom, remove and put back battery. Then go to Recovery and do Wipe data/factory reset and Wipe cache. Reboot and wait, it will take a few minutes before rebooting.
This will erase though all your previous data from your old Rom.

Thanks for your help I tired it on two different versions of Odin and every time it fails (from all my flashing on this phone this is the only time I've seen it fail). So we might be on the right track or the phone is beyond software repair
