Try removing your fingerprints.
Enter your dark mode or battery saver..
And try re-register your new fingerprints.
Just a suggestions
This was fixed with a samsung update few months ago

Prolly problem with auto brightness. Put your phone real close to a very bright light, and try turn on the screen. It should power up and after that i suggest you turn off auto brightness in screen setting.
hmmm i think ill give that a try but today it seems its not giving me that problem anymore even tho it was on auto brightness.... i would like to also ask when i try to add event onto my calendar it says no calendar or sumthing, i tried dl another calendar app still no help ......
post your issues on the creator of ther roms thread
I'm not sure if it's the gingerblur ROM or something else I did.
But now my Atrix won't lock and request for any unlocking method. I tried setting the timer to "when the display is off" and turning off/on the screen just won't prompt me to unlock the device.
Any idea?
Thanks in advanced.
I tried a factory reset and same problem!! I hope it's not hardware!
I had a problem with GingerBlur not respecting my security settings or using the fingerprint scanner, too. Here's my post on how I solved it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12749829&postcount=3555
In the end I went back to stock, though. BLUR is just too baked in to half-disable it for me.
Hi All,
I have problem with turn over sensor. I had this sensor on, and anytime when I received voice call phone stoped ringing and vibrating (only shows on screen that someone is calling me). But its doing it at random times.
When I switched off this sensor everything is fine. Phone is ringing....
I think, that is problem of sensor in my device.. Or it is software bug.
Thanks for your interest.
nobody?????
Try to recalibrate your accelerometer and Gyrosensor
Settings -> Display -> Bottom two ones
still the same... but when calls me one my friend (I tried to call me from his mobile) everything is OK.... It might be some thing in contact.. some information.. I dont know.. Or this sensor...
to be continue...
hello
i got the same problem, i can't pass "turn over" test
i wonder if it's hardware or software problem, i just put it in my shop lab and i hope 2 get more info about it.
I'd like to know please if there is another users with similar phenomenon and were able to overcome that issue, ty
Testing Mode?
Try the gyroscope test:
Start the standard phone app
type in *#0*# as you would a phone number. This brings you into testing mode, select gyroscope and have a look at the numbers.
There are also test modes: Settings -> Motion -> Tutorial
fix
The device was replaced in the store where it was purchased, everything is fine now.
i don't have the info of who or what was the problem.
ty for the tip arabbitte, too late 4 me
Thanks
Hello,
thanks, I tried to test by graph, and everything seems OK. I dont understand it...
Same problem here
Hello,
I have the same problem as PetoG, I think it is a problem with the sensor working with the vibration on. As tested on my sgs2, when I turn off the "turn over" or the "vibration" options one at a time, everything works as expected.
@ fatalit7, thanks for your reply but I think your issue was that the sensor was not working at all.
I am very much interested in any solutions to this problem.. And if it is really a hardware problem, guess we can only try to change the phone.
Thanks and regards
Hi kayamemet,
after update on 2.3.4 is everything OK. It seems it is solved. I have to test several times.
Still does not work
I've updated to 2.3.4 (xxkh3).
After several tries the problem persist. Quite annoying really.
So "vibration" is the enemy of "turn over" :S.
Any new remarks?
I've updated to XWKI8, still not good ...
anyone? anything?
ok, I've also tried the tutorial mode and it is also bad. It detects a turn over while it is laying down and vibrating.
Id really appreciate any "intel" on this matter, I'm kind of desperate.
Thanks
So I have this problem for about weeks now, whenever i turned on my flash light, about 5 minutes later it turned off automatically, so i'm thinking it has to be a settings for flash light timeout, but I tried to look in the setting app, plus gravitybox mm, but I couldn't find it. Or maybe i did find it but i didn't noticed it, i don't know, can anyone help me with this?
Thank you
Hi together,
just was able to update to upgrade to Nougat. (O2 Germany)
I just have one big problem. I have to control the screen like Talkback is activated. But it isn't. (two finger scroll, tap and so on)
Does anybody have an idea how I get rid of that really annoying thing? If possible without factory reset. My Phone isnt rooted.
My Google and forum search hasn't helped me. The answers were always turn off Talkback, which it is already.

I had the same problem yesterday after the update, took some time to change back to normal behavior: restarted in safe mode, changed the resolution back to WQHD, changed some accessibility settings, like turning it on for Nova Launcher and turn off optical reader (I don't know why it was turned on...). After that I restarted to normal and seemed to work ok but then I turned on the accessibility feature optical reader again, too see what it does and the screen was only with 2 finger operable again, so I turned it off.
You can disable/remove Talkback in the application settings. Try in safe mode if it's not possible in normal mode. I tried to change the Talkback settings in the system settings (searched for Talkback) and it said in a pop-up that it isn't compatible with the system, so I removed it completely.
Thank you so much norti!!!!!!!!! Had the same issue with S7 (T-Mobile USA), and your advice helped!!! Actually, it was the only one I could find so far
Thank you Norti
Thank you so much. I had the same problem after performing the software update over night last night. I was so frustrated with it and the techs at the sprint store spent an hour with my phone and could not fix it. The techs recommended that I back up all my contacts and everything and then do a factory reset. I did not want to do a factory reset and searched the internet for a long time before coming across your post. I turned off optical reader and it fixed the two finger problem. Thank you so much for sharing this as I would have been lost without it.
Exactly the same happened with my S7 edge, almost drove me crazy before I figured out that it was Optical reader in accessibility that caused the problem.
That worked
Thank you for the correct fix post. Optical Reader off did it for me, too. Spent all morning wading through "Cool features of Nougat" and getting ready to break my S7 while calls were coming in...

I figured that it had to be the optical reader as that was one of the incompatible apps it reinstalled after the upgrade. Had to use two fingers to get through most menu-options, frustrating, to manage to disable it. Glad to see I wasn't the only ripping my Hair out experiencing this issue. Hope they fix it.
For future reference (in German):
This works:
Einstellungen > Eingabehilfe > "Text & Bildscanner": turn off ("Aus")
