Are there any custom kernels that work with the Pixel 4 non XL, I know some of the Pixel 4xl kernels say they work with the smaller pixel but how would I install it without twrp?

If u don't know how, read more before you will do it! Google about adb and fastboot commands
I mean if it's as easy as flashing a boot.img through fastboot or sideloading the zip through the stock recovery, then that's all I needed to know, I just saw some posts on the Pixel 4 XL forums that said they support the Pixel 4 on the thread but then people are saying that it wasn't working or that it didn't actually support the 4 so my actual question should be are pixel 4 XL kernels really compatible with the 4

I would like to uprade my GS3 to either an OPO or Nexus 5. I am leaning towards the OPO but had a couple questions about it.
I am planning to flash with CM12.1. The question I have is whether the OPO has the options to update profile and PRL in CM12.1 nightlies like the Nexus 5 does. (my gs3 does not have that option and I have to flash back and forth to update)
Dont know answer to your question, but I`d go for OnePlus and flash a custom rom. I already had Nexus 5 (actually 4 of them) and can not recommend it

So do you have an OPO and a custom rom on yours?

Hey , what's the best pixel MOD to flash on my 6p ? I want all of the pixel goodies on my 6p , so what's the best around ? Thanks !!

I would recommend a custom rom that includes the Pixel features like Cortex or Pure Nexus over flashing the mods on stock. Your mods likely wouldn't survive an OTA update and might even interfere with installing updates altogether, depending on how they are applied. On a custom ROM the Pixel mods will be optimized and will likely work better than anything you flash over stock.

You're right ! Thanks
Im still new here to xda.. ive made a few things in the past which were pretty cool like a modified stock boot image which was a custom adb root access and systemless root boot image for boost mobile j7. It had a modifed adbd it worked pretty good.. Now ive moved on to the Unlocked Google Pixel XL.. Im not to filmiar with fastboot cause ive used samsung devices for many years.. what ive seen on here is android unifed toolkit that seems like its going to be number one tool outside of a custom recovery...
I thought id make a thread for everyone who has a unlocked Google Pixel. More like a Tips and Tricks Guide.. when i get my pixel ill post some of my own tricks ive found in this thread. If you have any tips and tricks which you think the community would benifet from please post..
1st is making sure you write down youre apn info and do a back of your rom in custom recovery before you flash a compatible rom.
http://updato.com/unlock
If youve of heard of or used updato for firmware they also have paid carrier unlock service as well. Best place to unlock a pixel and pixel xl.
Why pay ?
Why use a toolkit ?
Pixel(xl) (non-verizon) is very easy to unlock bootloader and root, just a few minutes on cli (command line) and your done.
I have no experience in the windows or mac world, but should be just as easy

You REALLY shouldn't be teaching people about modifying their pixel if you can't even figure out fastboot...

Hey all --
I found a discussion arising in the LOS beta thread about dual-booting with TWRP. The idea was that since our devices have separate A/B partitions for 'seamless updates', that we could potentially take advantage of this system to boot 2 separate ROMs from within TWRP.
Apparently this has been done with the original Pixel, and I found a guide here: https://ausdroid.net/2017/02/20/goo...tions-use-it-to-deliver-dual-booting-*****es/
I'm thinking of giving it a shot this weekend, but if anyone would like to giving it a go before me make sure to report your results and procedure here!

Keep in mind there is only one user partition. So both slots have to be running pretty much the same thing. You won't be able to run stock on one and a custom ROM on the other. One rooted and on not is about as far as you will get.
We went pretty far down this rabbit hole with the OG pixels and it lead no where.

Now with Xposed working on 8.1, it would be great to have one slot with Xposed and its modules and the other with a passing SafetyNet.

Yes I could see myself using that setup.

Hmm . . in fact I WANT to have the data shared but I would like an unlocked, rooted, TWRPed, Magisked stock in say Slot A and unlocked, rooted, TWRPed, Magisked Google Beta / update in Slot B - that should work shouldn't it?
For example, today I updated to PPP2.180412.013 (and had to reinstall TWRP and Magisk) but then I found a number of apps "xxx keeps stopping" . .
So I would like to test the updates but have a quick fall-back that will work immediately and only continue to use the updated slot when I am confident everything is 100%.
That would be an extremely nice situation!
Thanks!
Phil.

Yes
could someone help us the inexperienced, to be able to flash the roms gsi, step by step with some tutorial? for the Moto G6 Plus
There's a tutorial on XDA that works for all devices. It's not really necessary; it's like writing the same post again.

According to the dev Khode_Erfan who brought us lineage os 15.1 Rom with out owning the device has said do not wipe system.
What I suggest is from stock, in twrp flash Los15. 1 using the instructions in that thread(may as well skip root and gapps and boot Los15. 1 one full time. This gets you 8.1 vendor and best compatible base for a gsi.
From here we need some clarification but this is what I like to do.
Reboot to bootloader.
Boot twrp.img
flash gsi.img
flash mindthegapps8(oreo gsi) or 9(pie gsi) if not included in gsi. If possible I like a vanilla gsi and flash gapps myself to avoid a device registration on Googles dev site and 100 notifications my device isn't certified.
Flash magisk
reboot to bootloader.
Run fastboot - w.

I tried the GSI Pixel experience 9.0. I found it very fluid, good battery life, had bugs in the notifications, and did not show the download progress in the play store, otherwise I thought it was very good, but I returned to Stock while polishing it a bit more
