It is my understanding that unlocking your handheld without permission from your carrier has become illegal. You could only unlock your device with your carrier's permission. In any case, I think it is still kind of early to come up with a way of unlocking the device without the device being available to the masses.
T-Mobile and Sprint to do not lock their bootloaders. AT&T only started doing it lately and it's pretty random. They did lock the S4 bootloader, so I'm expecting the N3's to be locked as well. Verizon always locks their bootloaders. There's underground pre-planning going on right now, but the devices will need to be in hand to start tinkering effectively.
I believe he means sim unlock for use on other carriers!

SIM Unlock
If you are talking about SIM unlock I believe both will be unlocked according to the description on negrielectronics.com
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 32GB LTE (T-Mobile) (Unlocked) (Black)
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 32GB LTE (AT&T) (Unlocked) (Jet Black)

If I'm not mistaken, the FCC pushed for the reversal of this.
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/05/technology/fcc-urges-a-right-to-unlock-cellphones.html
Regardless, if I own the device, I have no problem breaking a law I feel is unjust and unlocking it. Not to mention the fact that I do not reside in the US, so the law would not apply to me. I plan on unlocking mine on day one. Either via some "special menu" which is often found or a paid service.
I may be incorrect but I did read somewhere that they were making different versions for each country and that the one version cannot be used in the other countries.

Possibly, but with no TMobile firmware it's hard to say. I'll just try it out and see tomorrow. We could get lucky. I get HD Voice on my pixel, so maybe I'll get lucky with the G6.

For everyone to know, the seller just confirmed that its not a dual sim, it's strange that the Korean editions are not dual sim. Its a Deal breaker for me, will wait for the dual sim version then.

But this doesn't necessarily mean B12 will work on T-Mobile if that version isn't certified. No b66 also. Does TMO have that live anywhere?

Correct!
But it's the only way to get G6 much earlier than official US launch. No wireless charging, but Quad DAC onboard & 64gigs instead of 32 as bonus.

I know a method to enable volte in LG international models for any carrier ( needs root ). May be it will work for other models too.

Plausible? I ask because I see a lot of American variant threads ETA's quite high due to a locked bootloader. Would we get these problems as well up there in the North?
Yes we're just as fcuked.
Last year Canada got Exynos variant with bootloader unlock, but this year Canadians are getting Snapdragon. Plus, rumors are maybe even the Exynos variants do not have bootloader unlock this year. We are waiting to see.

Because Canada is basically U.S. 51st state. Except for the French parts. You can keep those.
The reason is your carriers control the market and they don't want you to do whatever you want with your phone, that kind of thing cuts into profits. You share this with your friends in the US who also suffer carrier control of the market. Oligopolies are good for billionaires, not so much for consumers.
Give it 3-6 months and I'm sure we will get root like the US spec S7 did with the engineering bootloader. That said, if you search you can still do a lot of stuff you thought you needed root for. I haven't had a rooted device since my S6 and the only thing I really miss is Viper4Android, and Adaway. And this is coming from someone that would flash new roms multiple times a day. Trust me it is hard, but I kind of like the challenge to find workarounds without root. I guess I'm weird like that.

We in the U.S. already have some French:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louisiana_French
But they didn't try to split the country in half, like in Canada. Nor did they demand bilingual signage...
Besides it was a joke reference.
More likely the shared Snapdragon chipset is for possible roaming ability on Verizon or Sprint networks for Canadians who cross the border for vacation or business reasons. Snapdragon has the CDMA bands, while Exynos does not. I haven't researched it, but surely some of the Canadian carriers have roaming agreements with U.S. carriers? Including probably Verizon and Sprint.

Is this still available? Has someone rooted with them? I was going to buy the Note 20 Ultra Exynos to be able to have call recording by changing the CSC to thailand ... but if I can have the snapdragon would be much better... Can anyone that has used that share their experience with this service? I would pay $150 to have the call recording. Even if don't want the LIMITATIONS of rooting but would prefer to have the better Battery life of the snapdragon... This seems like the only way to get call recording on a snapdragon phone...

That's what I thought after reading a couple XDA comments about having to pay I'll see. But then I read an article where a guy like the rest of us was buying International versions for the last three or four years. And he said this year he bought the unlocked version for T-Mobile for better service and he routed it and unlock the bootloader all by himself. Basically by going into developer settings and checking the OEM unlock button like we used to do. Or like we still do with the exynos variants.. I appreciate you letting me know. I'll just buy International again. I'm not going to pay all that extra money.
