Yesterday i downgraded android 10 beta to android 8 .1.0 (_WW__ZB631KL_15.2016.1810.158_20181120) but MY wifi not turning on so i decided to update again to andoid 9 and download (WW-16.2017.2002.073) but it getting problems to update. via installing through sd card getting error operation aborted , after that i pasted that zip file in internal and updating its say system update failed (3) unknown error , amd with asus flash tool also dosent work nothing happens after resume, and with adb showing my device first but after giving flash command its says no devices, how can i update now ? please help.

Dear friends, I am really despaired. My brand new does not work.
Yesterday I wanted to root the phone, and so unlocked the bootloader first ( phone was updated to mashmallow) . All was done ok and the boatlodear was freed. Then I flashed the twrp version 2.8.7.0 and was installed too. Then went to install the supsersu and did it, but when i restarted the phone is got stuck in the warning unlocked bootloader screen and does not intendted to boot, nothing.... .
I donwloaded 3 diverse roms, 2 custom and one official, I pushed to the phone through twrp and they go to the phone but when try to install I always get errors.
for example i get : could not detect filesystem for /dev/block/bootdevice/dy-name/system at system no such file or directory
mount failed to mound ( the above )
unmount of /system failed no such volume
script succeded result was ( 0.200000)
and even that for one of the roms I get succesfull nothing is installed and the phone bots only on fastboot, there is no operative system at all there, even that the internal storage seems ok because I can access to in via PC!
I tried also via abd to install and even that the phone does connect and show in the abd devices when I send a command in adb i get only the flushing of the help screeen of adb!!
Please anyone help, I just bought that phone one week ago!
Then you flashed an old version of TWRP. Use the updated version.

Hi all, my gf have an Huawei Ascend G7 with EMIUI 3.
The phone is branded unfortunately, and I want to install EMIUI 3.1. I've downloaded the zip from the official site, put the dload folder in sd and start updater but I the phone reboots to recovery and I have an error (simply failed to install). Have I'm doing something wrong?

Same here. I have tried this build C469B340. I've unlocked my bootloader. I'm guessing the code in custom.bin needs to be changed. Anyone knows the operator this has been released for?

I'm having a hard time debricking my phone.
Everything started yesterday, when I tried to update my Zenfone to MM (6.0); I've downloaded the files from Asus Website, but in the first install, the phone suddenly started to boot in Fastboot mode. Well, I've download a debrick to get access to the Recovery mode, however, I can't install any stock ROM for two reasons:
If I try to ADB sideload, it simply shows:

I've checked the folder, and the file is there. I can guarantee that is not a problem in the path itself, since I am using absolute path to the file.
If I try to Install from SD Card, it get stuck at:

Verifying update package...
How should I proceed then?
Experiencing the exact same problem, what seems to bother me the most is that there is no real 21.40 recovery for ZE550KL (or any zenfone laser for that matter) despite the recovery updating itself when you update the firmware.
if I could download a stock 21.40 recovery instead of the 1.15 they let us download it would help tons

I tried installing twrp but all i kept getting was no command so i used an auto installer and i got droidboot and twrp but now i cant install anything cause i keep getting error executing updater binary my devices codename is gone i keep failing the device check and where it should say what my device is its just blank :crying: I am using Asus zenfone 5
Guys, my zenfone selfie is in bootloop i guess. I am not sure cause i didnt flash any roms or something. But phone is not turning on except i plug it in with charging cable, it just keeps restarting.
So, first thing i did was, i pulled out my imp. Data from device via adb v29.0.1 . I installed twrp recovery(dont know the version of it, but downloaded from a youtube video link posted on 2017). So now i download stock rom for my device from asus site and try adb sideload, but didnt work,. It shows the error (need adb 1.0.32 or newer to sideload). So then i tried installing rom with twrp, so i pushed stock rom via adb, then tried installing rom,. But then again error comes, md5 file not found and cant install this M package (2017_ 11_ 10_ ___16:15:27 CST) L less than 20160426 build (fri nov 18 18:43:08 EST 2016).
Updater process ended with ERROR:7
error installing zip file.
So this was the error i faced, and cant find other roms for my device anymore.
These all things i learn mostly from xda yesterday.
Plus cant even go to recovery mode without charging cable,.
