Hi all, my gf have an Huawei Ascend G7 with EMIUI 3.
The phone is branded unfortunately, and I want to install EMIUI 3.1. I've downloaded the zip from the official site, put the dload folder in sd and start updater but I the phone reboots to recovery and I have an error (simply failed to install). Have I'm doing something wrong?

Same here. I have tried this build C469B340. I've unlocked my bootloader. I'm guessing the code in custom.bin needs to be changed. Anyone knows the operator this has been released for?
Btw, this is the error message I'm getting.

Got a problem, need to send my p9 lite to service bc it fell with me into water. it still works, but I assume a chip is frozen because neither the wifi nor bluetooth can be turned on. I'm afraid theyre not fixing my problem because I unlocked it.
I flashed twrp recovery, rooted, but already flashed the stock rom and unroot again.
When I tried to relock with adb and bootloader code, I got the error code root risk is too high
Tried to install other stock roms again and a lot of stuff, but none of it worked. So I tried to relock via dc-unlocker. com but didnt work. But now it says when I restart "your device has failed verification and may not work properly." instead of "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted." and when I tried to use adb to relock with the bootloader code it says "remote: stat not match" ~ got a new bootloader code??
I'm desperate, can anyone help me?
put update.app into dload folder in micro sd card and try 3 button method.
hey i have just the same problem and when i try the 3 button method i get the error software install failed.
but i have no revolution twrp any more and i think also no erecovery beacuse i cant do a factory reset when i tried to enter erecovery with power button , volume + button then i go automatic to software update and at the 5% i get the error software install failed i hope some body get a solution to fix my phone without dc-unlocker
ps i was on android nougat but i think there any os now because the phone dont boot sorry for my bad english hahah

My father bought his Honor 8 Lite in China and asked me to try and "westernize" the phone. I have some experience installing ROMs and rooting phones but I am a beginner in this. Anyway, I try following these instructions on how to rebrand the phone, and I ended bricking the phone.
After I installed the new oeminfo on the internal memory (because I didn't have an SD card handy), I couldn't access TWRP anymore. If I try booting the phone I get to the Huawei eRecovery, which only offers the option "Download latest version and recovery" and gives the message "Getting package info failed".
I can also access fastboot&rescue mode, but it now says: "PHONE Unlocked; FRP Lock", and when I try to flash TWRP again, I now get: "FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)".
I also tried booting the dload file from the russian firmware from the tutorial that I put on the internal memory, but after 5% I get the message "Software install failed!".
Do you guys know what did I do wrong or have any suggestions for what can be done to save the phone? I have run out of ideas and clearly don't know very well what I'm doing. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

So i used firmware finder to update my honor 8 lite and it downloaded the firmware but there was error during installation and i now get defice verification failed everytime i restart my mobile. Phone works properly. Is there any way to fix it? And can i unlock bootloader and install twrp in this condition??

I trie for weeks to install lineage OS on my phone, i have dc unlocker to find my unlock code , but dc unlocker can't give me the code, after some searches , it's about the last updates of the system,. I tried to downgrade my pie to oreo, but Hisuite can't do, the 9.1 versions can't connect to my device, the 10.0 versions can connect but the downgrade option is not available. I tried to follow your tuto to downgrade and unlock huawei p smart, i downloaded the right file on androidhost.ru, extract the update.app file on a sd card root folder , sd card is recognized by the phone, and type *#*#....#*#* code, but when i tried to update, the system says "no update file", i also tried to vol+ vol- start button, but again ' no update file'. SD card is fat32 formatted . Now i don't know what else to do to downgrade this .... phone , did i forgot something, thanks for your reply

Yesterday i downgraded android 10 beta to android 8 .1.0 (_WW__ZB631KL_15.2016.1810.158_20181120) but MY wifi not turning on so i decided to update again to andoid 9 and download (WW-16.2017.2002.073) but it getting problems to update. via installing through sd card getting error operation aborted , after that i pasted that zip file in internal and updating its say system update failed (3) unknown error , amd with asus flash tool also dosent work nothing happens after resume, and with adb showing my device first but after giving flash command its says no devices, how can i update now ? please help.
