I have a 2017 16gb model that had the droidmote stock android Oreo rom loaded on it. I tried a straight flash to the newer version of the droid mate stock android Pie rom as I was lead to believe that this was the way to go. I was stuck on the shield loading screen for hours and then tried to flash the recovery image for 8.0.1 and am now caught in a boot loop. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have absolutely no idea where to go from here. Thanks guys

I was from LineageOS 14.1 and I saw a post where the Nougat update has been pushed. Decided to flash A2017U B29 and it worked fine but when I tried to update, it said failed to update. So decided to reinstall the B29 rom again, and it still failed. So I decided to flash back to my stock rom which is A2017G and my phone is now stuck at the ZTE Boot logo. Waited for more than 40 minutes, still stuck there. Decided to go back to recovery and it seems that my TWRP recovery is no longer there. Only able to go back to stock recovery. Tried factory reset, wipe cache and reboot, still stuck on boot logo. Is there any way to fix this? Basically new to Android so dont really know what I'm doing. Just following tutorials that are in this forum. Pretty much f*cked up right now. Would really appreciate if anyone could help in details as Im new to this Android scene.

Did you get this resolved?
I think the problem is caused by flashing the US version bootstack to a none US version phone. It's relatively ok to flash the system/kernel, but flashing other partitions is asking for trouble.

So do you know how to fix it?
Did you try to flash twrp recovery?
I attempted to reinstall the stock rom on my rooted XT1580 Moto X Force from LineageOS 14.1 using this guide below so I could install the Android 7.0 update
released by Motorola which was released a few months ago.
http://www.stechguide.com/update-moto-x-force-to-android-nougat/
After finding that the internet wouldn't work (as I couldn't flash NON-HLOS.bin for some reason and now it says baseband not found in fastboot)
I reinstalled TWRP recovery and tried to download and flash the latest LineageOS rom from the same place I got my old LineageOS zip:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo-2/development/rom-cyanogenmod-14-1-kinzie-t3536148
except now, it won't get past the boot animation screen. I left it to boot overnight and it was still stuck the next morning. (I can still access bootloader and TWRP recovery of course). Same case when restoring a backup
I even tried flashing CM13. Same issue with the internet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Did you ever figure out how to get this fixed? Thanks!
you gotta reinstall LineAge OS from a MM rom, the Nougat files won't work with the LineAge ones...

I got my phone working again using this ROM:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/dr...m-moto-x-force-lte-android-7-0-npk25-t3627392
It says 'OLD' but hopefully it still works
So, to begin with, yesterday Mi A1 got the Android 9 update. As I always do, I went to uptade it with Magisk (it worked with 8.0 to 8.1 and with every security patch, so I, as a newbie, thought, "why the h3ll not?"). Obviously, it didn't work and I got into a boot loop. So, here are the [lot] of things I have tried to do.
-Downloaded MiFlash and the latest OS version from Xiaomi site (8.1 witch november patch). Tried flashing a lot of times, I always get the boot loop after installing it. Wiped all data with TWRP and still didn't work. Always the same problem. Tried with with march security patch and it actually boots. But if I try to uptade via Settings or flash the newest room, I get stuck again.
-Downloaded latest AOSP ROM for the device, flashed it, wiped cache and data, instaled TWRP (3.2.3-0), but the system never initiates. It freezes in the boot animation and nothing happens.
-I've tried the same thing with Lineage 15.1 as well. Checked with MD5 in both roms. Doesn't work at all. Followed every tutorial I could, step by step, don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Can any one please help me? I don't know what to do anymore. Don't wanna get stuck in 8.0 either.
Also, if someone could .zip the Pie update, I would apreciate that. Could try that
Here's the latest flashable pie for you:

Fastboot boot into twrp and clean flash the above latest rom and everything will be fine

It worked and it didn't at the same time. The boot animation doesn't freeze anymore, but it's stuck in an infinite loading screen
EDIT: Nevermind, it worked in a second flash. Thank you again

Just hit thanks if it helped. Merry Christmas
After failing with installing different versions of TWRP om my tablet (There is no working version on TWRP for my model- system revert itself to the Stock recovery mode), at some point I noticed, that I can power on tablet and get to Welcome screen and start tablet configuration, but right after 20th seconds system freezes for few seconds and reboots over and over. If I just power on system and let it stay without touching screen it will reboots after 20 second.
If I go to the Recovery mode, there is not reboots. I did system hard reset in Recovery mode no help.
I thought it is problem with ROM, and flashed Stock Rom with Lenovo MOTO Smart Assistant. Same issue with reboots, then I tried some other ROM’s regions with same issue. Before I got this issue, other ROM’s used to work just fine.
QUALCOMM flash utility did not help as well.
I am just interesting is this issue with System board or it is software issue and I can fix this.
I have the same issue. I have been able to root through a patched boot image, but cannot get recovery to flash no matter what. It says all went successfully, but then always reboots. I have the 2GB version.
I just want to install an updated ROM since lenovo abandoned our devices.

I've just spent days trying to get my TB-X704V to flash. I finally found out how. The issue I ran into is the recovery mode never worked. I found one that did. Big caveat here. Once I flashed the recovery image, I could no longer boot the stock rom.
I found the recovery image looking for X704A, and ended up with the files at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QyUGBPi-KZrhSVFLOCs3lHUZ59fpe9KL/view (not my files). This is Chinese/English version. You can change language in the menu.
Follow the directions on flashing it at the quick boot menu and unplug and go into recovery mode.
Download the latest lineage OS: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=6006931924117916469
Install the OS. The initial boot will take a few minutes, but it will boot.
Most of what I found was in the thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/thinkpad-tablet/general/twrp-root-tab-4-plus-tb-x704l-f-tb-t3664407
Thanks @yener90 for your work!

Thank you so much, I was able to boot straight into TWRP using that Chinese/English image. I spent days last week unsuccessfully trying to boot my TB-X704V into the twrp-3.2.3-0-tb_x704l.img recovery image, but it never took no matter what I tried.
