Rate this thread to express how well you can see the Samsung Galaxy M31's display outdoors. In case you've been playing Minecraft for 18 months straight, you might not known how to get outside anymore. Well, find the door and walk through it. A higher rating indicates that it has very high maximum brightness and thus fantastic outdoor visibility in direct sunlight.

Outdoor and indoor visibility is good enough. The adaptive brightness works well even in harsh conditions works fast and acurately. Thanks to super amoled display fh+ display .
Great brightness and display.
Works well in outdoor but i would still love some more brightness as my old phone was much brighter than Galaxy M31.

The max brightness is great. No issue reading under the sun. IMHO, the only displays that can do better are Super AMOLEDs from Samsung (S9 and iPhone X).
Enough for me

Any tricks for boost brightness ?
Hi, I got yesterday mine. Great device for sure but the readability under the sun is very poor. I am quoting the question.
I think max brightness under direct sunlight is the only weakness this device has. Its not too bad for me because I don't normally have to look at the display in those conditions but I think just 5 to 10% more brightness would be perfect.

Though it has a 1440p Resolution. At maximum brightness we can able to operate phone under Sunlight
Sorry to bump this relatively old thread,
But it doesn't seem to be that bright to me in direct sunlight. I can barely see the screen.
On my old s8+, there was an outdoor mode which actually made me able too see the screen a lot better.
Is there anything else I can use to crank the brightness up a little bit?
Thanks!
gorgeous
screen
This model have a cool resolution even when you outdoor with it

Since it's an OLED screen colors are excellent, especially when coming from an LCD screen. I use it at a relatively low brightness because it delays burn-in and with the truly high contrast ration text is still clearly readable!

I find outdoor screen brightness acceptable. I wouldn't want to read a novel on it in full sunlight, but the screen is entirely usable without having to shade it enough to read it.
