Hi,
I have a Sprint Samsung S8 (SM-G950U) running on Android 9.0 Rev 1.0 (G950USQS6DSJ1).
I need to downgrade to Android Version 8.0.
Is it possible to do so?
I have not had any luck.
Any help would be appreciated.
Either I can or cant and if I can, I will continue research. If not, I will drop it.
Thank you!

The last Oreo G930P update is still using binary 6, so you can downgrade to Nougat 7.0.
Here the last Nougat 7.0 build:

Here Odin3 v3.13.1:

Hello guys! I would like to downgrade my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to a version where I have the outdated security patch, preferably in the May 2018 version for me to play Pokémon Go. However, I downloaded a ROM of that date but when it was installed, the security patch remained the same, February 2019. I am downloading another ROM, but with the android version 7.0, but if anyone can help me in knowing what the problem is, thank you!

No root on pie. Nougat only. And if your on a bit 7 firmware no root even for any. 5th digit from thr far end of your firmware is the bit number. 1 through 7 your in pie so 5 to 7
Hi guys,
Really dumb question.
I currently have an Exynos S7 edge which is running the latest version of firmware 8.0. I wanted to downgrade the firmware to do location spoofing (just to test things for fun) but latest security patch etc. means I cant do it, if I'm correct? I would need to go back to a early android 7.0 2017 firmware version & I don't think this is possible, ODIN hasn't worked so I'm guessing not?
Anyway I need Google play services to be a really old version like 12.4ish I think. Currently on 17.something.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a ROM or firmware I can use to do this?
Thanks
My friends Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930A sounds worse on 8.0 than it did on 7.0, he seems to think so we need to downgrade to 7.0 again. Is that possible?
Thanks

afaik that's only possible when they use the same bootloader.
That means if the bootloader was changed while upgrading to 8 it may not be possible.
While using Odin it will tell you if flashing will work or not.
I would download both stocks and compare the BL... files if comparison is not answered somewhere in XDA.
It downgraded without an issue & upgraded again without an issue since my friend cannot make up his mind if he thinks 7.0 is worse or better than 8.0. Anyway it all worked out.
