How to downgrade from 8.0 to 7.0 on SM-G930A? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

My friends Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930A sounds worse on 8.0 than it did on 7.0, he seems to think so we need to downgrade to 7.0 again. Is that possible?
Thanks

afaik that's only possible when they use the same bootloader.
That means if the bootloader was changed while upgrading to 8 it may not be possible.
While using Odin it will tell you if flashing will work or not.
I would download both stocks and compare the BL... files if comparison is not answered somewhere in XDA.

It downgraded without an issue & upgraded again without an issue since my friend cannot make up his mind if he thinks 7.0 is worse or better than 8.0. Anyway it all worked out.

SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB E 8.0 SM-T377P, SPRINT O.S. UPDATE TO Android 7.1.1

While searching for firmware for my Tab E I discovered there is an update available for download.

Can the firmware Nougat 7.1.1 be rooted? I have version 6 on mine and its rooted, will I lose my root if I install 7.1.1?
Please help me, i have a hard bricked SM-T377P, if you have one in hands you can help me to unbrick mine, it will take only 2 minutes! Here is my thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/help-sm-t377p-hard-bricked-debrick-img-t3711889
Thankssssssss!
Sorry, I haven't been on here in a long time. Samsung locked everything down so I haven't even tried to root anything lately. Ever since my Note 8 I gave up until I decide to go with the international versions which is the F model. They're locking down all us phones. I was actually just pulling my tablet out to set it up for my son and I was flipping through the posts. Did you still need me to try to do anyting?

G950U1UEU2AQK2 Update Reversion

To more experienced users,
I accidentally updated to G950U1UEU2AQK2 on the Snapdragon S8. Is there a way to revert to a previous version, so that the phone can be preserved for rooting?
It upgraded the bootloader. You're stuck. Root sucks now anyway
That sucks. At least I can use Samsung Pass. Thanks.
Stay tuned. The U2 n8 has been rooted so there's no reason to believe the s8 can't be too. If you are interested in trying let me know as I will eventually need a tester who is already on u2

Any reason to stay on 6.0?

Hi all. I recently received a new S7Edge (ATT). The phone is on the March 2016 update of MM. Wondering if I should update ot or not.. I plan on rooting the device, so, I'm not sure if it's easier to root with MM the it is N

I don't think having Marshmallow or Nougat shouldn't matter. I think your phone has a snapdragon on it so unless the snapdragon's root method has changed, you will just flash the rooted G935U rom and it will get updated anyways.

Shouldn't matter. Whether in snapdragon or Exynos. There are numerous benefits of nougat, even moreover with Oreo, which is expected to be updated sometime between the 3d quarter.

No reason to say mm,nougat is far better than mm,and oreo is better than nougat

The last Oreo G930P update is still using binary 6, so you can downgrade to Nougat 7.0.
Here the last Nougat 7.0 build:

Downgrade Samsung Galaxy S7 EDGE

Hello guys! I would like to downgrade my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to a version where I have the outdated security patch, preferably in the May 2018 version for me to play Pokémon Go. However, I downloaded a ROM of that date but when it was installed, the security patch remained the same, February 2019. I am downloading another ROM, but with the android version 7.0, but if anyone can help me in knowing what the problem is, thank you!
How did u downgrade
I can't downgrade.." Can't install, device 4, binary 3" something like that using Odin.. can u help?
