Worth to install Custom ROM? Which one do you recommend? - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

Hello, I am currently on MIUI 11 11.0.4.0. Xiaomi.EU, Android 10
Is it worth to install any custom ROM in terms of battery life and better loading of common apps like browser, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, browser etc.?
I am not looking for rom, which has 2 fps more in PUBG. I am looking for stability, fast and fluid optimized system without any bloatware and preinstalled apps.
Miui 11 is not that bad after debloating, except battery performance. I was on miui 10 , Android 9 before and it was bit faster and with better battery.
So now I don't know if I should install MIUI Eu with Android 9, or try custom ROM.
How are you satisfied with MIUI 11/Custom ROM. Which one would you pick?

I recommend Havoc OS, it's very stable, fast, and user friendly. Only one downside that it's present on all Pixel Based ROMS: Android Auto it's not working..

I am very happy with Havoc OS, its buttery smooth, customizable, good look and fod is better than the other custom ROMs in my experience, also the battery life is tiny bit better than MIUI rom. If you ask me install TWRP, make a backup of your current MIUI rom, install whichever ROM you like and then decide, good luck!

Thanks guys. I already installed latest HavocOS yesterday. It is really smooth, battery is ok, no bloatware. Seems stable for me. The only thing to mention, is that charging is only 2,7A max. On MIUI it was max 3,4A.

Stock(Like) Android 6 ROM

I currently have THIS rom on my N4, but for some bugs I want to change..., so I was searching for a ROM that is the closest thing to stock android, I don't want any customisation or extra features... There are a bunch of roms but all are customised somehow and don't look stock... Any suggestions??
You could use cm13 or an aosp rom with pico gapps and use the launcher you want.

Well, been searching for a AOSP, but there is only one and it has a GPS problem and a few others...
@alipashang77 Try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/development/fake-nexus-rom-nexus-4-t3230268
like Davoss says, Fake Nexus rom is the best for you. Everything stock. It even has all the google apps. Stable. Only has few bugs.
For the greatest stability, I advising sticking with rooted stock LP.
I personally like using Minimal OS 6.0.1 which is AOSP with Mini 6.0 Gapps found here. It's a nice lightweight ROM with all of the 6.0 features. The mini gapps give you the Google Now launcher, Now on Tap, some popular gapps other than the camera I think, and some small customization options for the notification led, nav bar hight/width, and some other misc options. Battery life is pretty great too, I get a full days use, sometimes a day and a half with Doze overnight.
All right in Fake Nexus ROM (02.02.16). This Stock more you will find. Try.
Try Rrexus Rom it is ok.

Which Nougat based ROM you like the most ? Why ?

I just wanted to make a poll and wanted to see which ROMs are most liked and why? I know almost every ROM has same bugs but although let's see which ROM is best ?
It would be better if you comment down the reason why you like particular ROM..
I liked the xperience os because i got the best battery life in that ROM !!
Viper OS is optimized af and friggin awesome
hey guys, how is LOS 14.1 on x522? is it pretty minimal and close to stock aosp as possible?
It isn't been updated from long time.. how is camera?
Yes. It's close to stock aosp.
I like Mokee its some what unique and very smooth I am getting SOT of 6 hrs
How is the cam?
Same as all custom ROMs

Recommended custom rom for performance

Hi,
i'm heavy Pokemon Go player and I would like to increase performance of my device by installing custom rom. At the moment I'm using Lineage OS 7.1.2 and it's much better than stock Marshmallow, but it seems it's not quiet enough. Can anyone recommend me which custom rom should I install to get even better performance? Also do I need newer kernel or something like that?
Lineage os 7.1.2 + artx kernel

You should try official ASOP it's really great for performance

Stock or Custom Rom?

Hello friends, I know this is a very common question but, which one do you prefer and why? hope I don't bother anyone.
Also, Im thinking about installing a Custom Rom, but I can't decided which rom should I install, please give me some options!
Thank you!
Hi, right now I prefer use the rom stock because the battery life is really better than the customs roms.
I tried pixel experience and for me was the best rom, the gcam it's amazing, the app has some little bugs but I liked that rom. However, the battery is not good like the stock.
Right now I am using the stock rom because I want the official update to 8.1 oreo from moto.
Been using Nitrogen Os as my daily driver for months. My battery life is on par with stock. My performance is better with NOS. My Camera is tenfold better in NOS. Basically everything works better on latest NOS. Highly recommend that Rom...probably the most under rated Rom for G5 Plus.

Please recommend me a good stable custom rom for SM-T580

Hello All,
I just got a 16GB Galaxy Tab A SM-580 and looking to replace the default bloated ROM with a good custom rom.
Can you please recommend me a good stable custom ROM? Could be TouchWiz based, Nougat, Oreo or Pie. Off course the newer the better but I am looking for a stable one with good overall experience at the moment.
Will greatly appreciate that!
In the same boat here. New T580 and looking for a non-stock rom, stable, with all the important bits working. I am leaning toward Lineageos 16.1 64bit.
If anyone has recommendations I'm all ears.
Can't go wrong with LineageOS or CRDroid. LineageOS has that stock feeling, while CRDroid is HIGHLY customizable (at the cost of somewhat higher battery consumption) Just stay the **** away from Resurrection Remix, and AICP. (Way too slow, buggy, and ugly)

Funny ... I've been running RR Oreo on my T585 since I got it and am having absolutely ZERO issues. It's neither slow nor buggy and definitely not ugly - all Oreo roms look the same except for the rom-specific settings menu, so how would 1 be "uglier" than the others?
RR Oreo is definitely stable and I plan on staying on it until Pie roms have less bugs and more features, like being able to use Substratum themes without that damn reboot
