Nope.
But if you flash stock rom, device partition will get encrypted. :good:
So take backups before doing so cuz if the the encryption fails, you need to factory reset the phone.

Not observed this as, current firmware packages doesn't include recovery image file so twrp will not be overwritten i guess.

Soft in GT-I9301I

Hi, I am new here, i have a few questions.
I want to change my soft in GT-I9301I. My plan is:
1. Do a root: http://primehowto.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s3-neo-gt-i9301i-easy-tutorial/
2. Install TWRP http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56085899&postcount=2
3. Do nandroid backup.
4. Install ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-neo/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-s3-neo-t3099384
5. Repair battery https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPMneDKqyOc
I won't brick my phone? I have phone with I9301IXCUAOF1 soft. If my phone brick, can I use nandroid backup? Is KNOX is in this phone?
Thanks for answers. Sorry for my language, i am from Poland. I don't speak english very well, but i never use Google Translate .
You won't brick your phone , just follow the steps.. I have the same ROM on the same device.. About the battery i dont know if it will work, but anyway you won't brick nothing
---------- Post added at 11:54 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:49 AM ----------
I forgot to tell you that is enough to flash the cyanogenmod to have the root included.. Just flash a recovery via computer with Odin, and then flash the cyanogenmod with that recovery

I don't need root? I must only install TWRP and flash CM12?

Yes the root is included into the cyanogenmod 12.1.. Just flash TWRP or CWM with Odin on the computer.. Then put the ROM into your SD card, boot into TWRP or CWM and flash it ( anyway follow the steps of the guide to flash the ROM)
---------- Post added at 12:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:29 PM ----------
After that you flash the ROM the root need to be activated into the settings.. Go in developer settings, go on root Access and select App and ADB, and now the root will work.
Use King Root (dxa English last version) to root not triggering Knox.
Use Flasfify to make backup of stock recovery & then install TWRP 3.0
Do the complete backup of stock ROM & everything else except recovery!!!
Advice is that you enable data compression before making backup.
Then you can play with whatever you like.

You can if you are decrypted and don't feel like being forced to being encrypted.

3. Reboot recovery
4. Flash system.img
5. Reboot recovery
6. Flash su 2.74

You'd have to be on the latest bootloader and maybe radio, then you can wipe data and system and do the above, you can't dirty flash N over M

Try this when in safe mode: power off, reboot to recovery flash su and reboot system
Alternatively(once in recovery from safe mode)
1. Flash boot.img, reboot system then go back and flash su
Or
2. Make nandroid of data, clean flash and restore from tibu/nandroid option
I'm sorry i can't help you further mate, that's the extent of my knowledge about this

Does adaway and Titanium Backup work using this method on DP4?

i don't use adaway, i manually push a modified hosts file into system/etc, that works and
tibu seems to restore only data(even with a clean flash), so i install the apk from tibu backup folder and then restore data from tibu
flash directly from Android Developers using adb command.
However, it has been 20 minus and I am still looking at the "Google" sign. Should I try to re-flash it over or keep waiting?
PS. it took me 40 minus+ to wipe data and cache....

Titanium Backup will work once you set SELinux to permissive. I did so by using the following zips:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66371718&postcount=7
Anyone having issues with Bluetooth connectivity? I'll be listening to much over Bluetooth and the connection will drop. A few seconds later it will reconnect and continue on.
When it does this, the Bluetooth icon also disappears from the status bar.
Happens in my car (aftermarket Kenwood) and with my insignia Bluetooth speaker.

I must be doing this wrong but I get failure every time I try it

Thanks! I've been wanting to come back to N for a while now (dumped it when DP2 sucked) but the Titanium restore issue has been keeping me away. This is good news.

So even after restoring that backup your still stuck on Google splash screen?
I doubled checked my upload looks like its missing boot.emmc.wIn file. take the boot file from this post, and flash it through twrp. Make sure you select img file or twrp won't see it. It is the boot for that backup.

Can't root OnePlus 2

I've unlocked my bootloader and installed twrp, but when I want to flash the superSu zip, my device stucks in booting (bootloop). Is there any fix for that.
Hello.
Have you got a conflicting app? Possibly. If so try systemless?
Are you flashing official latest? Is your twrp the latest as well. Have you tried installing the app and seeing if it do it that way?
---------- Post added at 06:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:07 PM ----------
Also not to call you a lier or daft. Are you sure! You've unlocked, have you gone into settings, unlocked oem ticked from there?
Im sorry I'm just covering all bases .

Please be more clear. What version of TWRP is flashed. What ROM are you currently on? also what version of SuperSu did you flash?
So, I just found special modified zips for the One Plus 2 and it worked fine with them. I don't know what was wrong with the Orginal files, but I don't care.

unresponsive touch screen

A strange thing happened today. I flashed twrp on my s8+( SM-G955FD ) but i had the problem that internal storage could not be mounted. Tried several things but nothing happened. I found a fix on this https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/samsung-galaxy-s8--s8-cross-device-development/fix-data-mount-fix-s8-twrp-oreo-t3769254#post76036701 on post #6. I flashed the fix and when i rebooted, touch screen was not working. Any suggestions? I also tried wiping data but no luck still
