Latest TWRP v3.0.0-0 for the Samsung Galaxy SM-A510F
NOTE:
This is a test build and requires a tester who knows how to flash with Odin and recover if required.
It may boot it may not, it sometimes takes a few tries to get the configuration right as I don't own this device.
If it doesn't boot take close note of what happens and describe in detail.
FLASHING CUSTOM STUFF VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY. THIS WILL TRIP THE KNOX FLAG.
Install:
Flash with Odin 3.10.7 using the AP slot.
Uncheck Auto-reboot.
Reboot to recovery immediately after flashing using POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN, as soon as the screen goes blank change to VOL UP whilst still holding the other buttons.
TWRP should now boot.
twrp_3.0.0-0_sm-a510f
NOTE: ON SOME ANDROID 5.1.1 DEVICES IT IS NECESSARY TO GO TO:
Settings -> Developer Options -> OEM unlocking
AND ENABLE OEM UNLOCK FIRST OR YOU MAY ENCOUNTER 'BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK' WHEN FLASHING.

Thought you had the A710F?
Ok will have to recompile for the A710FD.
Will upload stock recovery for your device, but no more development for today. Time for bed and early to work tomorrow.
Which build of firmware is your device running?

Ah ok, so it did work.
OK do not let twrp root your device as it will bootloop devices running 5.1.1 roms.
So I take it you have the stock firmware to flash? Flash that then install the file below and you will have root.

IF TWRP ASKS TO ROOT DO NOT LET IT ROOT.

S7 EDGE SM-G935FD stucked at Samsung logo after rooting !

Hi guys.
First of all sorry if this question is asked before. But i habe tried every method to fix this issue reading other threads.
Today i tried rooting my s7 edge sm-g935fd (indian version) first using cf-autoroot method and then using this method
.
I followed each and every step properly and also tried two-three times. But after rebooting the phone (first boot) it always gets stucked at Samsung Logo. I have let the phone sit alone for more than 2-3 hours every time but phone is not booting up.
Also tried to flash no-verity-opt-encrypt (as mentioned in 2nd thread point no 11) but its not booting up. Also did format dat when booted recovery for the first time.
Do i have to unroot and flash the stock indian firmware and start the root again? But for that i need to have that SECURE STARTUP THING and for which i have to boot into my phone .
So plz guys tell me how to fix this issue? I dont have that secure start up pin for unrooting.
Things i used:
Odin 3.12.3, 3.10.6
CF-autoroot for hero2lte
Twrp -3.0.2-2
Thanks for your help.
The step you're missing here is your phone is encrypted (i did the same thing)... Flash TWRP and go to Wipe then hit the advanced button. You will have to type "yes" and TWRP will wipe the entire partition and rebuild it without encryption. You can then flash any ROM with TWRP and then flash dm-verity, and not get the secure verify issue.

Thanks for your reply. Yes i ticked both oem unlock and usb debugging.
If you used the proper cf root for your phone it should of worked.
the second method is not for the S7 edge. which is stated very clearly like this
Do not flash on S7 Edge or Qualcomm models!

I believe the only way to fix this is to download the Samsung drivers to your computer and use recovery on smart switch device initialization to restore your phone to original. To use device initialization you need to know the model of your phone (which you have) and the serial number which you should be able find from the box the phone came in.

Oops i actually did not read that it does not work on s7 edge. But in the youtube video by max lee it was mentioned that the method works on s7/s7 edge exynos versions.
Edit: there is a same method for s7 edge also. Here is the link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/recovery-official-twrp-hero2lte-3-0-0-0-t3334084
Can you provide me the link for rooting s7 edge with cf-auto root and also step by step procedure to do so.
And also provide me the link for indian firmware for s7 edge. The one memtioned in one thread is corrupt.

first get your phone restored using the smart switch method, that will put the correct uncorrupted firmware for your region.
then we willl talk about rooting. As long as you are in a boot loop on an unrooted phone very little can be done,

Done rooting. But not cannot install xposed
I did the rooting by first using cf auto root and then flashing twrp. But when i flashed xposed v86 sdk23 from twrp the phone is again stucked at samsung logo. Cant get over it from last 1 hour. Is there any fix for it?
You need to flash the wanam custom build xposed version not the regular xposed..

can you get into twrp, if yes then do a factory restore to remove xposed from your phone.
if you cannot get into twrp you will need to use smart switch again.

Try to find an older firmware version that can be flashed with Odin. Usually system updates patch exploits commonly used by one-click root apps, and only an older build will fix the issue. Hope this helps.

I also couldn't root my device (galaxy core prime g361h) until i used TWRP and SuperSU, i tried those crappy one click roots none of them worked for me,TWRP and SuperSU are powerful.
First flash TWRP on your device using Odin then flash SuperSU using TWRP

Okay thanks ☺
Hello sir
Follow my steps for successful TWRP/ROOT
1.)Download and install Samsung USB Drivers
2.)Download TWRP 3.0.2.0
3.)Download Odin
4.)Download SuperSU.zip file
For download links message me or add me on facebook facebook. com/fRoD.cs
After you complete this 4 steps shutdown your phone and enter into Download Mode
Volume Down + Power + Home
Select continue by Volume Up key
Now connect phone with usb cable into pc and run Odin as administrator
Click on AP box and select the twrp.tar file you download before
Go to Options tab and uncheck Auto Reboot, make sure that only F, Reset Time is checked and click start
After successfully installed TWRP , remove the battery, put it back and make sure that you go into recovery mode immediately!!! Volume Up + Power + Home
If you boot up the phone it will restore the original recovery. Thats why you need to go to recovery mode first.
First time you boot in recovery it will be shown a TWRP screen asking to allow modifications to system partition. Swipe to accept that.
Now select Install option and select SuperSU.zip file. By default it should be in Download folder, and swipe to start install
After installing click reboot and your SM-G361F will be rooted. You should have SuperSU app in the menu

Samsung j530f root android 9?

hi all, please any exprert can tell me how to root an Samsung j530f android 9? all threads talk about 8.1 only.
i need install one of xda official custom roms for my phone, any help please.
You don't need root to flash a custom rom. You just need a custom recovery like twrp.
If you don't know what you are doing then do a bit more research or you could completely f$#k up your device
Easy...

I think, not 100%. You have the wrong twrp installed. Make sure you have the correct twrp for your device. Go to download mode power+home+volume down and at the top left corner you see what device you have.
