Google Hangouts not working on Nexus 10

Hi all, noob post.
I have a nexus 10. I occasionally used Google Talk to chat with friends.
At some point it was automatically updated to Google Hangout which I had never used yet since the update. I went to try it out and I open the program and it flashes up quickly and then minimizes. I try to open it again and it keeps doing the same thing.
I tried to unstall and reinstall but it appears you cannot do that with Hangout, I downloaded it again from teh Playstore but still same thing.
I searched but didnt find anything. Can anyone help? I am not so good on troubleshooting Android.
Thank you, longtime reader but first time poster!

[Q] Problem with Google Search

Hello.
Recently I've got a problem using Google search. When I use the vocal command (whether with the «microphone» button or with the « ok Google» functionality), the pop-up window vanishes instantly. When I try a second time, it works!
I tried a lot of things to get rid of that issue but in vain....
Any idea?
Thanks in advance!

Honor Note 8 annoying problem

Hi guys, I am completely lost and frustrated right now.
I bought a huawei honor note 8 . I was completelly sattisfied
with it until I tried to open the uber driver app.
It works the first time but when I open it the second time, the map shows my city name in chinese and the app asks for an update.
To work , right now, I have to uninstall uber driver, re installed it, open for the first time and keep it open cause if I close the app all that **** happens in a loop.
I am completely lost , everything I tried didn`t work , I found out there is an autonavi locations services that open with location, maybe thats the problem, but i cannot uninstall it, only disable . When I disable it , uber driver and all maps apps stop work and I got a message, "error, cant find your location".
I would appreciate some help casue I need to work and this phone is driving me crazy with this matter

P9 Lite unexisting build number, throw away?

Hi there, I wish your expert help please (I'll throw this phone otherwise, too much effort/time lost).
I'm using a P9 Lite with build number VNS-L31C432B417 , Android 7.0.
I can't find any good reference to that number on the Internet.
Since months Google services is not running any longer on my phone, e.g. G's icons all disappeared. Cleared cached of G's apps , made whatever (but rooting), without success as of today (no emails, no youtube, no play store etc).
Now, I wish to upgrade the OS but it keeps saying 'No Updates Available', your phone is already up to date...
Connection Mac desktop-phone via HiSuite fails (despite I enabled HiSuite on HDB, on my phone's settings), "HiSuite quit unexpectedly".
Use of HiCare useless as well, no update found.
Can you please help out here ?
Thanks much for your time

Hello,
yes the "phone throw" will be part of the disciplines
of the next Olympics, so train well ...
I state that I am not an expert, just a user like you, perhaps with a little more experience ...
Okay, I checked and your firmware is actually the latest available.
That's weird...
How is it possible that you no longer have the services of big G?
Which big G app did you clear the cache if you no longer have them on the device?

Hello, hi, thanks for your answer.
I can still see them all listed in Settings > Apps ! That's the point.
I can see them (GMail, Google, Google News, Play Books, Play Games, Play Movies, Play Music, Play services, Google+, Hangouts...), and they are up working.... I cleared the cache mainly for " Google Play services ". Some of their icons are still on my screen but e.g. clicking on GMail or YouTube I get " Gmail won't run without Google Play services, which are not supported by your device " ....... !!!
Of course I logged out and relogged onto my G account .... but nothing changed.
So ?

Ok, it's clear, google play services for some reason no longer does its job.
Dude, I don't know, something screwed up your device.... once I solved it like this:
Settings> security> device administrator and disable 'android device management':
Go back and access apps, then find and press on
google play services:
Press on uninstall or uninstall updates.
Open the play stores and update google play services as one
any application.
If it doesn't automatically, look for it in the top bar
and update it ...
I hope it works for you too ...

Thank you for your suggestion..... I just did a hard reset and obviously everything got back working...... Not really the way to solve the issue, surely the most effective.

Google maps keeps crashing

Hi devs, I have a Fire HD 10 which has play store installed by me through a third party apk installer. After installing Google maps, it keeps crashing after opening it. It remains open and I can drag around it for like 3 seconds and then it crashes. I tried reinstalling and restarting my tablet but to no avail. I need help on this regard. Thanks in advance.

You can enable Show all ANRs in developer options to avoid crashes when app is not responding.
same issue. ANR just shows the pop-up that it crashes. Neither fixes the problem nor does it give a clue how to fix.

You can use an older version of Google Maps from APKMirror.
My Fire HD10 (2019) was also having a problem with Maps crashing. Today there was an update for Maps and it seems to be working just fine again. You may want to try the new version.
