but magisk sucks on it. no fastboot.
did i mention the xda captchas suck a lot? best to quit xda for good.

Can you please explain how you rooted it, I tried claro fw 1.0 which has fastboot but I was unable to unlock bootloader bcz I don't have the key. I tried qu1ckr00t exploit and it is working but this device needs 32 bit version and since I'm not a dev I can't make it. So please explain how you rooted it

1. why do we need this boot img is it a kind of backup, if it is then how do i use it?
2. is this device rootable?How?

No, this is the kernel. You don't need it for backups etc.

1) boot.img is ur phone's kernel..
If u wish to knw abt kernel's then plz use google ...
2) nd yeah.! Galaxy y is rootable..
All u got to do is download update.zip nd flash it in recovery mode (power + vol. UP + menu) buttons...
For proper instruction's or guide's, i suggest u use search feature.
** rooting is new for me,
nd i am a noob to root....**

boot.img is needed if you put a custom KERNEL on your phone and you need to restore the stock kernel (according to me).
YES, Y duos is rootable. Just download the rooting file file provided on this forum for Y duos. Then go to Recovery mode by pressing VOLUME UP + HOME KEY + POWER BUTTON at a time. select apply update from sd card and choose the file. (I USED THE ONE PROVIDED BY SOMEONE NAMED MILAN)

Listen bro..... I didnt find anything related to DDMC1 on this forum. Also if anyone needed it (if they forgot to backup) they can download this. SO IF YOU THINK THAT I DID THIS TO INCREASE MY NUMBER OF POSTS THEN YOU ARE A TOTAL FOOL..............

Yup it is. So don't worry. But just have a look around things before attempting something. Most stock kernels are same and you don't need to provide specific version when someone asks.

Hello, is anyone still here? I want to reanimate my good old friend LG GT540. Currently it has TWRP 2.7.0.0 recovery, but no matter which ROM I try to install, it never boots further than the boot logo of each ROM. Not sure maybe I have to change to CWM instead (no idea how to do it) or have I changed system partition too small?
Could anyone point me in the general direction at some guides about fixing my issue? I have browsed through XDA for some time, but sadly almost all driver/stock rom/flash tool download links have expired.
Man, sorry I'm not here to give any solution. I just dropped by cause I just miss the community. Great memories. Man, I miss this community.

maybe clear stuff up from settings and try on WIFI cz i dont know why only 450 mb worth of file is also taking a ton time on a 50mbps connection for me..
try clearing everything cache and date for settings and restart phone and stuff..

This happens sometimes in other oems as well but the 2 week gap is at large.. Almost all got the update 2-3 days ago.. But your phone might set a benchmark for future updates then.. Loll
You shouldnt worry instead rejoice since you get faster updates..?

Search in Mi A1 forums... There's two of them. The issue is that on the fastboot one downloading seems to be broken
