You sure you have the right forum? The tab s3 doesn't have Android 10 yet, if it ever will. But to answer your question, no, you still can't change the r/w and have it stick in Android 10.

There's a lineage is 17.1 build for this device, and I want to be able to use the on screen navbars with this tablet.
Also, I realized this is the wrong thread for this question.

One Click Root for 10.1 Tab

Thanks.
Nope there isn't cause this device doesn't have an external sdcard.

Doesn't the Samsung internal hard drive act as an external SD card ?? You can you adb to push data as a SD card.
Just trying to put my pennies across. Not a big brain to this stuff.
Wrong section, this is for 10.1v
I''d be interested in a one click root for the 10.1v too, so we can keep the thread alive at least.

Sorry, was not aware requesting 1 click root was not a development question.

It was moved because you are not a developer working on 1 click root. Main difference is working vs asking.
What are the benefits of rooting the tablet?

People do it for a variety of reasons. I'll just name a few.
1. To get updates before they are official
2. To run custom roms
3. Change processor speed (underclock/overclock)
4. View and edit system files
5. Modify anything you want
6. Wireless tether
7. Put themes on your phone
8. Use some apps that require root.
9. etc
It basically just gives you full control of your device, so you can do whatever you want to it. That's why its so beneficial.

*cough* adblock *cough*
I believe there's a process of program called oiden that will do this for you. Look in the development section.
the main problem is to find an easier way to unroot rather than flashing a stock rom (some original firmwares aren't avaiable on samfirmware )
It's called ODIN3, and you use it to flash a different kernel on your Tab. You can find tons of kernels in the development section. I'm a fan of Pershoot's. Those kernels will enable you to root and/or install a different ROM on your Tab.

old, dont waste your time

Robitron has been doing DEV work IMHO, his GPS stuff has made my Tablet work a heck of a lot better. Posting a question about missing files in this forum makes sense to me in light of that.
And by the way, I don't see the file either.

you tell me that the one is a section for those who want to develop a certain type of ROM (completely new), the other is for those who want to use "ready rom" (ready-made)?

its not "for a noob or not for a noob". either are good for a noob. its just an extra classification for the actual work. flash what you want to flash

[Q] What are some good ways for lazy people to root their Galaxy S3 ?

I found this (Framaroot), but it did not work on mine.
Have you tried this method? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957273

During setup, SuperSU was one of the choices, then there was another with a similar name (I forget what the other option was at the moment.)
That is, assuming I understand your question correctly.
2 exploits that were available did not work. There was even some hesitancy to install it in the first place because an alert said Google recommends you don't install this because it contains suspicious code (not in those words, but you know what I mean.) I went ahead with installation because I didn't hear any negative talk about it after a little searching through the internet.
Questions go in the q&a forum, report your own post and ask a moderator to move it.
Instead of taking the chance of bricking your phone, why not follow the routing guide in the sticky thread?

Multi-window on MM?

I have the moo x rooted and using xposed as well, my question is, could I follow other instructions over the internet about how to get it or are they specific for this device?
Sorry for bad english , and thanks :good:!

You can follow other guides. I tried it once. It's pretty simple. There is a build.prop edit (I think it's setting ro.build.type to userdebug) and then enabling multi window in developer options.

It seemed stable enough but it's not very user friendly. It took a little while to figure out the controls. It's not very straightforward and a little confusing. There's no X or anything at the top of the window to close it which is weird and you can't swipe it away either. It has to been done in the task manager. And then I kept getting spammed in the notification bar by Motorola for feedback on Attentive display, which I was using by the way. If you're not using it you shouldn't have that problem and I think that's from making the build user debug. But it is experimental so I would expect some bugs or they would have put it the final version.
