I bought a 10 " inch screen 8 gigabyte version of the A500 Iconia from Best Buy. Seems to be ether a new model or one only made for Best Buy. I haven't gotten it in yet through the mail. I wonder if it will have the same specs as the 16GB model(aside from the memory of course)....and the same quality.
They sell the 8gb version at Costco too. Once the sold out of the 32gb they pulled that in.

As of last week, the 8Gb was 350 at Costco here in the Seattle area. Came with a sort of weak free case.
Congrats on the purchase. I picked one up from Best Buy as well. Now if they'd get around to shipping it, I'd be even happier.
The two things that have been noticed on this one is the lack of mention of GPS anywhere (though many of us are hopeful that it has GPS) and that power indicates 110 whereas all other models indicate 110/220.
Haven't seen anything else yet so now we're all waiting for our units to arrive to begin the fun.

GPS is not mentioned in any of the versions of A500 tabs.
pretty sure they all have GPS. plenty of threads exist with a500 users having wifi only models and using GPS. just make sure to apply all the GPS tweaks
a stock a500 isnt quite as hot as a tweaked out a500. earl reviews of the stock item at the original retail price were just OKAY at best. but if you tweak the little it turns into quite the little tablet.

say what? i have a wifi only version(a500) and it has gps. no tweaks needed. i doubt these 8gb versions have gps. official acer site and best buy have no mention of gps at all.
can anyone that actually has one in hand check? what a total bummer if it didnt.
this is the same a500 model as any of the other a500 models, with only 8gb. every a500 has built-in gps, just like every samsung galaxy tab 10.1 has gps. you dont need to have the 3G (a501) model to have gps.
the acer website doesnt list ANY of the 8/16/32 or 501 models as having GPS at all, so you can't go by that.
The 8gb one I bought at Costco has gps. I'm going to return it though because I decided to get a 32gb one from Tigerdirect for $400. 8gb just wasn't getting it done with Honeycomb's inability to move apps and data to the sdcard like Gingerbread. I was using almost all of the internal memory and I only had 8 of my games installed. Those Gameloft games need a lot of memory.

I got the 32GB one from costco for a similar price, $350 + tax. But if you can get bestbuy's price at $220, it might worth it.

The $229 8gb Acer A500 at Best Buy was a Cyber Monday deal that actually sold out by early Sunday morning. I think I saw "normal" pricing referred to as $380. I was lucky enough to snag one of the Cyber Monday tablets, but even though they say 0-1 day to ship, it is still "in process" and has not shipped yet.

I'm going to assume that means business days. It should be ready to ship today but who knows what the details are. Best Buy may not have them and are awaiting shipment from Acer which would explain why they weren't available immediately for store pickup (which was set at 5-7 days).
Hoping for the best as I'd like to get my hands on this tablet and start playing with it.

From what I've read, it does NOT have a GPS in it. I'll have to find my sources, but if you google the SKU, it's a special, Best-Buy only device (from what I could find).

I ordered Noon-ish on Sunday, and it said "processing, 0-1 days..blah blah" until about noon EST today (tuesday).
Yes, it gave me a tracking number, and the original order (with 2-day shipping) said EXPECTED DELIVERY: Nov 30-Dec 1. UPS shows it as on time, Nov 30 by the end of the day.
EDIT--it does say it shipped on the 28th, even though I didn't get an email or tracking number until mid-day the 29th.

Lucky basterd! I ordered mine on Sunday at around 2:30am. Yeah that early, I don't know why I was still up that late lol. Mine still says order is being fulfilled or something like that so I the order hasn't been processed but it does let me cancel it anymore. The estimated dates I have are earliest Dec. 1 and latest Dec. 8
Yeah the folks over at slickdeals who bought the tab are all arguing on if it has GPS or not and if it has a flash mem or a micro hard drive. HAHA! I can understand the GPS debate, but the other one is just plain stupid.

EDIT: And none of the A500 tabs on acer's official website list anything about GPS, but they obviously do so I would assume that this one does too.

Update for guys looking to buy from Taiwan. Don't buy from 23port. He doesn't have the phones available, he takes your money and then waits for Asus to get them in stock. This is the email response I got from him about my purchase
"We have received your payment on Mar. 28, and we will check the available time with Taiwan ASUS and update you soon, and we will provide tracking number after shipment. Please kindly note. Have a nice day."
I contacted eBay after that and they are taking action against his listing since in their words "he is luring people in to buying an item he doesn't have, without stating it's a preorder and that he doesn't actually have the item".
Just wanted to give a heads up since I'm now at the mercy of either getting a refund from the seller or waiting until the 7th for buyer protection to kick in.
You might want to ask sellers if they actually have the item in stock, it's not guaranteed that they will answer truthfully, but these guys are taking people's money and sitting on it until Asus Taiwan has stock available. Who knows how long that could be in all honesty.

Ordered it Friday morning my time, asked him today about the status and that's when he said he had to contact Asus about the availability and would let me know. None of the ads I've seen by him have said anything about preorder. Maybe when you ordered he had supply but now he doesn't. If he had supply he would have shipped my phone already and wouldn't have said he needs to contact Asus and that he'll update me.

I didn't think you were but some people might. I was hoping I'd have it within two days like every one else but that's not the case I guess. I can't wait weeks to get a phone unfortunately. I'm thinking that some of the other sellers don't have supply either, that's why they're putting the delivery date so far out. They're hoping people will buy expecting delivery in mid April and that gives them enough time to wait for more stock from Asus.

Today, they are dropping it in France. My delivery date was April 1-3. Was surprised at how quickly it got here.

There are some sellers with the delivery date as Apr. 10th-Apr. 21st. Which gives plenty of time for them to wait on new stock while you're waiting for the end of April to get it.

That really sucks. I will tell u this: phone is solid. Only disappointment is the battery cover. Feels like cheap plastic simulating a metal brush finish. Looks like it may break when prying apart to insert sim card and SD. Really glad I got a case for it.

Yeah I've been super stoked to get it since I saw it, sold my OPO and a Note 3, bought my son a Moto G 2014 and myself the ZF2, but now I have to use my son's phone since the ZF2 isn't coming.

I have another warning: Don't buy from OE USA (advertising on Amazon) either. They're selling an entry level ZE500CL as ZE551ML as they specified the phone. Luckily Amazon has good customer protection but you may face a lot of troubles buying totally false phone.

I guess I learned my lesson well. I'm returning cheap entry level phone which was sold on Amazon as a ZE551ML. At least partially you can blame all mess on Asus, which would never provided clear specs of variety of models around.
Now I'm quite positive that currently you can't buy any other ZE551ML than Taiwanese. And right now Asus has in production European (ww) model which will be on the market in France and Italy at the end of this month (on the web as well). And maybe Chinese model will be selling at the same time too.
Later, probably at the end of May after announcement in the event in New York the US model is coming to the market. And that's pretty all.

Black and white versions of (ZE551ML )are back in stock on ASUS French website. Already have a red one ordered from Darty but wont be sent out until the 10th

Well for one, I'm a member to the UK sim free waiting room.
I have a white 128gb on back order with EE. Got this through the company that handles my businesses communications needs. They have advised between 1-3 weeks wait. I've no issues with the wait. Looking forward to the phones arrival.

OK still no UK sim free deals that I can find. I know CPW are offering the S6 32gb and 64gb as handset only.. but I'm really trying my best to hold out for the edge.
Just spoke with the company that is attempting to get me my phone. It seems the 128gb sim free release are weeks away still, Mid June is an estimate. 64gb are becoming incredibly hard to source.. It sure looks like Samsung have a winner on their hands. Great news for them.. not so good for us customers that want sim free deals.
Just got mine today from CeX, aka www.webuy.com . I got it for less than RRP too! They might still have a few in stock, I got a black 64GB version. It was in box and everything is in place, only thing was added by CeX was a barcode on the inside of the box for their internal tracking I guess.

Just placed the order for mine also. Grabbed a grade A unlocked black 64gb .. I would be interested to see where this stock is coming from.. hope it's not the scratchgate stock... lol
Oh well.. i will probably move to a different handset in a few months anyway..

No problem. I just looked by chance, didn't think they'd have had any but I guess someone bought tons up and sold them off to them or something. I got a Grade A 02 Black 64GB since that was all they had in black when I ordered. Annoyingly it's locked to 02, I'm gonna have to pay to unlock it since I want to be on three.

I can find some hanging around Verizon and Best Buy, but everyone only has the 32 GB version. For a phone that has no expandable memory option, youd think they would make the 128GB version available somewhere? If it is, Id love for someone to clue me in because I sure cant find it!

I bought mine via Telus in Canada. I had to order it online because stores don't carry it, but it only took a week to arrive so I was very happy with that. I'm like you, I would be okay with 32gb today, but what about a years from now, or two years down the road, how much of that 32gb will actually be useable after Android 9 gets installed.
Does Verizon have the 128GB Pixel with free 2 day shipping? It seemed to be that way when I looked. Verizon was also showing a select phone list that included 50% off a second phone, which included the Pixel. I'm not exactly sure what the terms are, but it looked like they were reducing the retail price of the second phone on a payment plan. It also seems the $300 in account credits over two years for a $1 phone trade is also still available. Otherwise, it looks like the Google Store is showing the 128GB black in a couple weeks. I don't know if there are any phones set aside for quicker Google Fi orders.
When I called Verizon they said the only thing they had in store was 32GB but perhaps it can be ordered via the website.
However the Verizon rep I spoke to said that corporate Verizon stores will not sell it without a Verizon plan - and I was looking to purchase for use on AT&T.
If I was paying for service direct from AT&T, I'd personally go with a certified AT&T device, in order to get things like HD Voice. I don't think Google has paid to certify the device on AT&T, so I don't think you would get items like HD Voice with the Pixel. Anyway, if you want 128GB and don't want wireless service the only option is direct from Google, and they were showing a shipping date of November 22 on the black phone this morning.
I ordered the Verizon 128gb Pixel last Friday and paid to have it over nighted to me. I got it Saturday morning.

I went to order it online but couldnt find a way to just buy the phone without needing a Verizon plan alongside?

In Ireland I pre ordered the 256GB mystic bronze. Trading in my S20 Ultra towards it.

512gb bronze for me
I pre-ordered mine during the unpacked event. I am using the Samsung Upgrade Programme to upgrade from the Note10+ 5G. The process with Klarna and Samsung was very smooth. Getting the Black 512GB and chose the buds for the 'free' gift. They did not let me select a colour so I would assume they will send out the bronze ones as shown in the photo? Maybe they will send matching ones with the note colour that I chose.
There are some missing details here, but Samsung's UK website suggest that we are getting the Hybrid Dual SIM model. Which means 2 physical SIMs or 1 physical SIM and a microSD card, plus unlimited(?) eSIMs. It sounds great.
We are also missing the full band list for modem connectivity. It'll definitely work in the UK, but good to know as we are expecting more 5G bands to be used in the UK and perhaps travelling to other countries (yes, I know quite difficult in the current circumstances, but it might just happen).
ultra 256gb in white also ordered Watch 3 45mm in silver and 41mm in Bronze for the wife so nearly £2k spent
Where are people trading in their S20 Ultra? I tried Samsung direct, but its not in the listed devices for me?
It's on the trade in list on the Irish Samsung website. Just double check again.

Glad Someone got their email fine. I want to move to the note 20 but somehow Samsung has ****ed up my date for upgrading which is annoying some how.
I been upgrading to the new note since the Note 8 and been upgrading every august once it was announced at the unpacked event and this year some how my date had moved like under 2 months from when I got the note 10 (pre ordered on the 7th August through the upgrade program and gotten the phone on the 21st and according to their site for me bizarrely that equated to upgrade on the 30th September 2020).
The shop was useless and said it might arrive towards the end of August but can see I am up date with payments. I did post on the forum and one of the mods asked for my agreement number so they can look into it and hopefully they can resolve it as with the note 9 and 10 we originally had sweet fa on pre order bonuses and the one time they finally give something they had to **** up my date and stop me from doing my pre order I had always done in august.
The Camera I was more interested in getting the upgrade for but disappointed they kept their processor and the same one in the S20 and wish for the UK they went the SD 865+.

It seems like anyone selecting the ear buds as a gift will get the bronze colour by default. Oh well...

I got an email a few days before the event telling me that my window opens on the 5th of August. Then I ordered during the event. Got several emails to confirm the loan with Klarna and order with Samsung. Later in the evening I got an email reminding me about the window, which was probably automated as the confirmation email about the order from Samsung includes an item called 'Samsung Upgrade Welcome Back' and I had to answer questions about the condition of my current Note 10+ 5G (which was recognised automatically) while placing the order.

Usually I would of gotten an email saying your upgrade window is open but this year I put my agreement in and it said I have until 30th September which also one of the mods found odd. Just hope they get it sorted in time for me to upgrade.

Yup and we also get the exynos and we buy it knowing full well it will throttle and then we mourn. Us Brits are a special lot though aren't we and Sammy knows it ?.
Woo hoo. Just pre ordered my Note20 Ultra which is my first ever Note. I have been a big Android user since the HTC Magic, but my last Samsungs were S3 and Galaxy Nexus back in the day. Since then I have had every generation of the Nexuses and Pixels with a few Onepluses thrown in for good measure. This year however I just fancied something different but stacked with features so I'm returning to Samsung after 8 years away. Hope I made the right choice!

I jumped from the S3 to Note10+ 5G last year and I am really enjoying it, so also upgrading to Note20 Ultra 5G this year. In the meantime I was away from Android for years.
I'm sure it'll be a good experience for you.
