Hi there.
So, i've been looking around for some root apps, and I'm in front with some big problem that i cant get out of..
I've bricked it fully, i don't know how cause i just installed some ROM and after I reboot my cellphone doesn't recognize anymore. It just stays on black screen. Doesn't get fastboot, twrp or anything. It's just a black screen. When i connect it on PC, i got "Qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008"..
So I've been trying QFIL method but i got this sahara error. doesn't matter what i do. :crying:
like in this pic took from my pc :

I've tried by MiFlashTool and got "cannot receive hello packet redmi note 7". Yes. I already unplug then plug again and clicked at flash just after plug again.. Doesn't change nothing. Someone has any idea of how to get out of this ****-brick?
Anyway, thanks

Well, don't expect too much. Even though Redmi Note 7 (lavender) and Note 7 Pro (violet) have almost the same name, they are completely different. More if we talk specifically about Note 7 (lavender) as it has way lot problems when we talk about modifying system and similar things. The best you could do is to ask for support in the respective forum for Redmi Note 7 Pro (Violet), not here.
Could give you a hand but I'm not that acknowledged as to help you in this case, sorry.
I guess you were flashing rom which was not supposed for your phone and when it flashed firmware files it didn't boot.
Now to help you further please tell which rom you flashed(giving link will be better). And
Can you tell from which rom you are trying to unbrick it i.e. from where you are taking files to flash via qfil.

Ok it doesn't matter which RN 7 it is cos at this stage you would have to approach a service center, they usually have an authorised account which can help restoring stock ROM on your device
So..
After a few days, i did found a solution. I had some help of brazilian friends on Telegram.. anyway, it worked.
My situation was:
I've installed some ROM on my Redmi Note 7 and for some how it entered on hard brick. Doesn't gave fastboot, Twrp, anything. Only Black screen..
The famous HARDBRICK.
[SOLUTION]
have to install MiFlashToolPro and flash your stock ROM in EDL mode.
i have it uploaded if anyone want it.. i cant post any links cause i'm new on this forum so if anyone want it, look at the end of this text.
......
In this download has prog_emmc_firehose_Sdm660_ddr.elf which you need to put in yourom/images folder.. something like that
"C:\lavender_eea_global_images_V11.0.4.0.PFGEUXM_20191110.0000.00_9.0_eea\images"
After you've installed MiFlashToolPro, you have to go to "MiFlash" then select the folder where your ROM is then flash it.
Obs: Probably you will get "Hello packet reiceved" problem, so what you need to do is turn down your cellphone, then power it up.. Yes. I know that your cellphone shows only black screen so ((why?)) do it?
cause EDL mod is active only for 10-15s after your cellphone is ON.. thats why we have this "hello packet" problem. you need to be fast. Turn on your cellphone, click on refresh, then Flash it. It will work.
Worked on 27/02/2020 on REDMI NOTE 7
if you have any question on this process u can call me on TELEGRAM

You are posting in wrong phone forum. You are talking about redmi note 7 (codename Lavender) but posting in Redmi note 7 pro( codename Violet) both phones are different snapdragon 660 and 675 if you flash the files of one another it will definitely brick thats what you did first time and now maybe posting here in violet forum people will look for file you flashed which is already there in fastboot roms but the packet you sending to the phone should match.
Ok the tool you used may work here but not the files so don't provide this file to violet users.
Thank You...
Once again users viewing this thread don't flash the files on violet by taking from OP creator, its of no use to violet users
Asking Mods to move it into its respective phone forum i.e. redmi note 7 lavender

Hello,
just bought this fantastic phone in China. The question is to know if some non chinese ROM exists in order to use full google applications or is there any possibility to install google applications ?
I can have access to the Recovery but full chinese => Is there any chance to move to english ?
I think this smartphone is fantastic and need a English forum (most of the informations are in chinese) in order to fully use it.
BR
Any Chinese language schools near you?
Not really but perhaps I should spend more time to learn chinese
One of my interest would be that a MiUI ROM (English) could be delivered. It seems one already works in chinese...but not official.
I bought this phone too, you can download with your pc the Google Play APK, put on the phone the apk file, and install it with the explorer included into the original rom. With google play, you can dowload all the google application you need.

Ok, thanks for your answer. i'm going to try. I do not need any root or something else ?
It seems that also somebody was able to install MiUI...hopr it will be possible in the near future from MIUI website.
No, no need to be root =)
If you want to root your phone, I can post the method here.
I hope that a MiUI ROM will be available for this phone =)
I'm toying with the idea buying this phone or the Oppo Find 5 when it comes out. Being able to mod the OS for english is my primary concern before purchasing.
I was even thinking of buy the Goophone. It would be awesome just irritate Iphone fanboys. The price for the Goophone is pretty cheap but the specs are a little lacking and not quite sure if the frequencies are right for ATT either.
Hi all!
I have this phone about 3 weeks. I know how to do ROOT, and i have CWMRecovery.

Rooting Instructions + CWM (Chinese Only though)
Hey guys, I kinda unlocked it already and would like to share the procedure:
0. Download the following files:
driver_2012-01-31.rar - X907 Windows Drivers
anzhi-recovery-x907-cn-mod.7z - Root + CWM
Finder+Root.zip - Superuser/Busybox/etc
***Upload Finder+Root.zip first into your X907***
1. Power off the X907 by pressing the power button for more than 7 seconds (screen blanks off)
2. Go to fastboot mode by holding the upper volume button (+) and plug in any microUSB cable (plugged in to your PC of course). The X907 should stay in the "Find" boot screen. That should signal the fastboot mode and the phone then should be detected by the PC.
3. Use the driver_2012-01-31.rar file above to install drivers under Windows Device Manager
4. Once detected/identified properly, run rootx907.bat from the anzhi-recovery-x907-cn-mod.7z file.
5. Restart into Recovery Mode by first unplugging the microUSB cable then turning the device off (just press the power button for a few seconds until screen turns off) then press volume down (-) and power button together until the device vibrates, then let go of both buttons. Initially the screen should stay blank then it goes into CHINESE CWM
6. Now the confusing part - the CWM I found is only in Chinese so please bear with me. I've attached a photo of the CWM and the English counterpart of the choices. Select the SECOND option by navigating using the volume down (-) button then pressing the power button. Then press the power button again for the FIRST option to select a zip file from your SD card, then locate the Finder+Root.zip file and press the power button again.

What are you trying to say from those two images?
You were saying there's a thread posted 30min before my thread? where's that thread you were talking about?
When you start creating a new thread it takes a minute or two to insert images n links and no one keeps checking the forum in that 1 min time gap that someone else posted similar thread
Know before saying something. You have to be right in whatever you say
Even in my post i admitted that his thread is posted a min earlier than mine
"there's a mere 1-2min gap, when i started creating a thread there no such thing here for MIUI 8 dev rom"
I clearly mentioned there's a mere 1-2min gap, and i specifically mentioned that there's no thread when i started creating this rom thread and only realized that there's a post a min or two earlier than mine.
and now you are showing images of two threads as a reply to me. Just realize how moronic your replies are

wow that was disappointing, I was hoping for Xiaomi to make a marshmallow update for MIUI8, if they are sticking with lolipop im not even interested.
Mi Max have the exact same SoC and have marshmallow, ffs xiaomi we dont care about MIUI updates if the OS itself dosent update.

Hi everyone,
now that the YotaPhone is so cheap I ordered one for myself. I'm trying to get all the tools together to update it to the latest version which apparently is very easy with the official yota flasher. Unfortunately I cannot find a working download anywhere - the official one is down.
Can someone please upload the flasher tool? It would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,

Hi I have downloaded the flasher and the new firmware. But when I try to flash the phone, I don't seem to be able to connect the phone to the PC, even when it is in "downloading" mode. The flasher just says "waiting for device".
Any advice is much appreciated!

You probably have to install the drivers first. You can install the drivers by navigating to the Yota Flasher Driver folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\yotaphone_flasher\Driver\Google) There you will find an .INF file. Right click on the .INF file and click install.
Still cannot flash
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I tried that but somehow the INF file did not install. I obtained the drivers from another source and installed them but still not able to flash the phone. Same message as before. Any ideas please?

Thanks a lot... there really is no way to get the yotaflasher from any other source.
But i still cant find useful rom's.
I just found a 4.4. kitkat and i am not sure if i really wanna try it out? Now i stuck in a bootloop on a 6.6 as i could figure out. I never saw it working, just got it with this bootloop issue. For free therefore
I hope i gonna get the thing working but its nearly impossible to find some not so dead links.
Even Yota removed all useful from their ftp's.
edit²: Does anybody have a working link to ROM's for Yotaphone2. In all or many different versions?
Hi. Does anybody have a copy of the YotaFlasher anymore? The links are dead. Also, I have a Yota YD206 with Android 4.3. Can I update it safely?

Thanks alot bro again I have a question do I have to start by installing lolipop and then flash with Marshmello in order to upgrade from Loli pop to Marshmello or I can directly flash with Marshmello. The current version I am using is having some issues it's saying process.system has stopped working
Hey @kimstar sorry for the late reply, I don't have this phone anymore and I don't remember very well. But I know there was a post in the forum explaining how to go to Android 6. I think you could flash it directly. The option of going to the Android 5 (Russian version) and updating I guess is not longer available as the servers are probably not working any more.
Good luck!

Sorry, but I don't know. I tried it with MIUI 8 and it worked. If you try it and confirm if it works then tell me.
Amazing
Could you do it with other Redmi phone aswell, or It is very complicated?
So when I want to flash a Custom Rom like LineageOS 13 or 14
1. I just have to flash a TWRP on the Note 3 Pro and then
2. flash the ROM
3. (maybe) flash SuperSU?
Since this method of unlocking is an unofficial one does one have to flash the special TWRP when one wants to flash a MIUI based ROM?
Thx for the work.

Maybe i can do it but then I need the firmware for the specified phone etc...
I don't really want to start projects with phones that I don't own because i need to test if it works etc... and i don't want to brick other people's phones by my own fault.
I hope you understand.

Yes. You need a special TWRP if you unlocked your bootloader unofficially. For example I always use ZCX TWRP. I can flash any ROM without problem. And if I get stuck at MI logo because my bootloader relocked then I just flash the files with MiFlash and after everything works fine.
If I use this method and install any other rom now. Can I revert back and officially unlock my bootloader in the future? And also will unofficially unlocking cause any problems/hindrance to frequent ROM, Kernel flashing???( As in having to do some special step like replacing some img file everytime I flash a ROM through TWRP???)
TIA

You can easily revert back to stock with flashing an official firmware through MiFlash.
The unofficial unlock doesn't cause any problems. It's just like if you unlocked officially. Maybe you need to reflash this pack everytime you update or install a new rom... I'm not sure but you'll see it anyway.
I tried it and now my phone is hard bricked......... phone doesn't boot up, doesn't get recognized on the pc and when plug the phone in all I get is a blinking red light.... wont go into fastboot or edl mood..... can I get help or is there anything I can do to fix it????

Press all three buttons (vol up+down +power) it will force reboot the phone and when phone reboots immediately try to boot in fastboot

Hello,
I have some experience with installing ROMs on Samsung Galaxy S4 with TWRP in the past but haven't done so in a very long time. With Xiaomi's disappointing announcement that they will not issue Oreo for Redmi 3S I'm looking for ways to obtain that Android version because I'm still stuck with stock Android v6 by MIUI, v9 Beta.
With the overwhelming amount of available ROMs I would ask for advice which one is most recommended for stability, continuous flow of stable updates and most developed in terms of features.
If you could point me to it along with a comprehensive guide on how to install TWRP with it it would be most appreciated. I looked up on Google, YouTube and many other sites but every guide has something in common and something different, which is why I'm not entirely sure about doing it because I don't want to brick my device.
Many thanks in advance!

1. Unlock Your Phones bootloader (works on any Xiomi device) :http://maheshtechnicals.com/2018/02/unlock-bootloader/
2. Install TWRP RECOVERY : http://maheshtechnicals.com/2017/07/how-to-install-twrp-recovery-on-redmi-3s-prime-3x/
3. Install custom Rom (Step by step tutorial with download links) :http://maheshtechnicals.com/category/xiaomi-redmi-3s-prime-3x-roms/
Note that it takes (at least) 72 hours to unlock bootloader now. You need "permission"(up to 7 days, usually 30-40 minutes) and "wait time" (72 hours for Redmi 3s)
I have done a full program packet scan, the "wait time" limitation is server side. The Xiaomi server holds your RSA decryption key for unlock on the server. It will not send it over until the 72 hour limit expires.
There is no way to get the unlock your phone without the decryption key, and it isn't sent until the server's 72 hour timer expires.
Here are the brief steps.
1) Sign into Mi Account on the phone (use existing Mi Account. More Forum points via older account = faster "permission")
2) Go to <mi unlock website>. Fill out form, in English is fine. I wrote something like I need to flash custom rom.
3) Wait 24-72 hours for "permission". This will be via SMS. Mine took 30 minutes.
4) Unlock developer mode on phone (Settings---> About phone---> MIUI Version (Keep tapping it to enable developer option)
5) Settings---> Additional settings---> Developer option and bind your approved Mi account under Mi Unlock Status. It should say account bound. If not, you need to VPN to get this to work. Look up a guide.
6) Reboot phone into bootloader (hold down power button and volume down. The word "Fastboot" and a xiaomi guy appears).
7) Finally, download the MI Unlock app (version 3.x.x) from <mi unlock website>. Login etc. Attempt to unlock. It should fail at 99% and say "wait 72 hours". If it fails at 50%, it means you didn't complete step (1->3) correctly.
8) Come back in 72 hours. should work.
The Official guide is a bit old and some of the pictures/links are outdated. Namely don't download Mi Unlock tool 1.1.xx. Download 3.x.x from <mi unlock website>
My last root/etc was Cyanogenmod 10 on HTC One S. So we are from a similar era

Hey check your telegram. I just texted you
Hi everyone and thanks for the replies!
I was about to follow the steps to unlock the bootloader when I encountered two things,
1) I didn't have to file an application to unlock the bootloader, the website directly redirected me to the unlock app. Seems like permissions are already granted,
2) checking my phone's developer options I stumbled upon this:
{

I just wanted to confirm whether that means I can safely proceed with installing TWRP and flash a custom ROM and don't need to do anything else.
Guys I ran into a major problem,
everything succeeded with installing TWRP, but when I downloaded the CRDroid image from the official codenamed "land" and tried to flash it the TWRP recovery reported that "the package is for device 'land', this device is . "
Please help.
