Hello
I have had my Hero for a couple of weeks now, however, this issue is something of a dealbreaker for me... Anyone know any workarounds?
Here is the link to it http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=2226
Steps to reproduce:
1. Dial command string/MMI code such as: #190*1660#*. This is very
common and this specific case is to disconnect from a "virtual" switch on
Swedish operator Tele2. I'd assume similar codes are used by most operators.
2. Android says "MMI code started", this soon disappears and gives a
dialog box "Connection problem or invalid MMI code".
Personally I need this since I have one SIM card tied to two different bills, one personal and one for work. When I need to make private calls I dail *140# followed by the phone number.
A comment on the above thread says its passed to an engineer in march

Is there any solution for that?
I have HTC HERO with the same issue.
Any solution?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193285
does anyone know what is wrong?
Is this a hardware, software or networking issue?
I have a UK phone which can't call in NL.
same problem with motorola defy running galnet miui ics build
i cannot even call a number nor can use ussd code and phones goes in not reachable mode
add * before ussd
exsample
*100*2# replace **100*2#
Adding an extra star makes no difference. Tried it.
ok dont know if it will work for you but it worked for me
add comma (,) in the end of the code
example:
*100*2# into *100*2#,
works for me
every call my phone show a message: "Number changed by SIM".. and then it auto add the long distance code from my operator, even when im doing local calls... how can i disable that?
I can't forward my calls to another number.
I follow this procedure;
Phone>Menu>Options>Call forwarding
but at the end I receive the error message;
''cannot save your changes to the network. Try changing settings later, or disconnect data connection and try again.''
I also tried from the keypad that operator suggests but no result.
Could you please help me with this issue ???
tried turning off 3g? maybe its gotta be in gsm mode.
Yes, my phone works in GSM mode.
Any suggestions???
call forwarding xperia x1
facing the same problem. cannot u/s why is this so. Is there some conflict? it just does not open the call forward dialog .. Can anyone help.
Ussually this happens if you are on prepaid card. It`s not a phone issue...just operator rules.
Hi there am not to tech say but I know a little. Any how I keep getting a Invalid MMI Error code and connection problem code. What does this mean and how do I fix this. I can't call my voice mail by holding down the speed dial number 1. All my contacts have a 1 then area in front of it. I also am having trouble using my WiFi hotspot it says mobile number not found. I originally bought my phone from Verizon and decided
to switch to t-mobile so I had my phone unlocked. Could this be the problem. T.I.A.
Hi there,
my Xiaomi A1 won't accept any MMI-codes, they are shown as invalid. My network is Vodafone.de.
Here's what I've tried already:
reboot
deactivating and activating sim
exact same code on Xiaomi 3s (worked!)
deactivating auto-adding of region code
adding a comma after the mmi code
resetting network settings
full factory reset
Side note: When I go to call options, then additional settings, I get a "network- or sim-error". I can make and receive calls and SMS, I can use mobile data without any issues.
I don't know what else to do. Do any of you have any ideas? I'd be very grateful :fingers-crossed:
