[REQUEST] oeminfo eu oreo - P8lite Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I am looking for an EU eominfo file that I could either recover from a backup through TWRP or place from adb shell with dd commands,
I've been trying a few that I've seen across the forum but all of them either caused me OS instability or brick ( and in either case the eominfo didn't change ),
could anyone make a backup from his / her PRA-LX1 eu on oreo ?
thank you

Any help for my Nova plus ( MLA-L03) bricked

Any help for my Nova plus ( MLA-L03) bricked,
Im with a bricked unit (nova plus MLA-L03) . i cant find on all web page firmware Any help for restore my phone pls .
I will detail here what happened to my own bricked Nova plus (MLA-L03) and how I got it working again, with the help of a lot of comments from this forum. First you should know that when asking such questions it is advisable to detail your problem and what led to it, so that others are willing to help without having to ask for additional details.
I got soft-bricked after installing twrp and formatting the /data partition (wrongly thinking it was only userdata and that nothing could go wrong) so I could then backup the partition for future use. Basically what unbricked was flashing these 3 partitions from a full firmware release: /recovery, /boot and /system and I believe this is the only thing required, so you may try that first. I am not an expert and I would also like to know if the other steps may have contributed to the unbricking.
-Through TWRP I restored the stock recovery and the /data files from Bluesmoothie's backup (look in the TWRP folder, also you might have to create a backup yourself to generate the correct file structure), but that didn't unbrick
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70197735&postcount=99
-Then I found files for my device (MLA-L03) from the Huawei Firmware finder available here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tools/general/huawei-firmware-finder-team-mt-t3469146
-You can also find the firmware from this site but it is a hassle to search through everything:
http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php
-I downloaded the firmware called MLA-L03C6540B300CUSTC654D001 (the update.app file inside the .zip is actually 3.8GB and my understanding is it is a full OS, not merely an update)
IMPORTANT: using this firmware will install android 7 nougat and you may not be able to go back to android 6. Also as of this date you will not be able to use TWRP to backup you data partition and others, and I think that you cannot modify the system partition also (not sure, I would love to be wrong)
-(Not sure if it is worth mentioning but I tried to unzip the update.zip and put it in my sd card in a folder called /dload and boot by pressing all 3 buttons (boot to stock recovery) but the update got stuck, wouldn't go over 36%... I had also previously tried this with other zip packages for my device but none of them got over 12% or 30%)
-Then I used the Huawei Update Extractor (link right below to extract recovery.img, boot.img , and system.img from the update.app file extracted from update.zip.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454
-Finally I flashed these 3 files with fastboot :
fastboot flash recovery "[filepath to recovery.img]" ( example: fastboot flash recovery "C:/my documents/recovery.img" )
fastboot flash boot "[filepath to boot.img]"
fastboot flash system "[filepath to system.img]"
-After I also did a factory reset, but I don't remember if I let the system boot completely before (I don't know either if it makes a difference... I hope someone here can answer)
Good luck!

don't even try to change oeminfo, it will brick your phone network security
changing region on qualcomm devices is not easy, its complicated thing and involved paid tools
its better to see a professional to do this :good:

Restore P9 Lite

Hi,
Have been messing around lately, but have bought a new phone now so I want to restore this one to its original stock rom.
I have the L31C432 dualsim version, but after I did a wrong flash, It now stands on L31C900B160.
I want to restore it to a stable version for L31C432...
Phone is unlocked and rooted and have TWRP installed.
(in P9 toolkit I see is it missing custom.bin , local.prop (Pro-Mode & App-Twin , It also says the model is a VNS-L11)
Can anyone help me restoring it please ?
Thanks

oeminfo needed

Hi anybody has
C432 oeminfo to share??
It is so necessary for me
I want it for nova
If you are rooted copy it then compress and send it for me
Dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/oeminfo
I really need its oeminfo plz send it for me thanks alot friends
I have CAN-L01C464 Device and i have unlocked bootloader and installed Lineage OS 14.1 with TWRP then i wanted to go back to original stock firmware CAN-L01C464B330 from FirmwareFinder. My UPDATE.APP fails to flash at %5 in every way(usb connected or not) Using 3 button reboot or start flash from *#*#2846579#*#* sequence... I can only install unofficial firmwares through TWRP backups and one that is CAN-L11C432B100 backup found from this forum. Whenever i try to check my branding through *#*#2846579#*#* it shows as Vendor empty Country empty. This may be the main reason my phone does not accept official stock firmware of anykind.
So my oeminfo.img got corrupted somehow during first attempt to install unofficial firmware through TWRP
I am in need of oeminfo.img for fixing my phone

[URGENT] Need some help with weird crash

Hi, I'm using a huawei p10 Lite rooted with twrp Recovery. by mistake, I wipe the recovery partition of twrp while i was in twrp. Now i can't use the recovery or fastboot, and my smartphone seems to be "unauthorized" in the adb device's list.
My last try was download and install stock firmware, i think this may repair recovery and kernel partition, but i can't move to microsd card because (i think) is upper than 4GB, and don't let me copy the folder dload.
PD: I can boot the custom rom without problems, but i can't use recovery or fastboot
need some help please!!
thanks
Edit: I fixed with anohter update.app with less than 4GB (3.6 GB)
u have rooted your phone? so i think it's possible to "dd" the recovery back.
e.g.
su
dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0pxx
Click to collapse
(i don't know which partition is for recovery, so i put "xx" in it)
are u on emui5 or emui8?
and please remove your "question" feature in your post. that's maybe the reason why nobody post an answer ...
Sorry, I forgot to say that i fixed it. I found another rebrand firmware of 2.6 GB, solve it.
Thanks anyway for the answer!

Fearing the bootless loop - getting ready - LeaOS lineage 18

Hello there,
I would like to flash a LeaOS - Lineage 18.1 on my P8 lite 2017 (the ROM by @AltairFR) because honestly it looks amazing.
I have a device fully unlocked and ready to be flashed through fastboot.exe
But some part are unclear to me, like the stock rom version that HAS to be installed before the flash.
I’d like to stick to 8.0.0.412(C432)_Firmware_EMUI8.0_05014FSP but honestly the DLOAD method (putting UPDATE.APP on a sdcard then lowlevel restore) has not worked for me and put me
on a weird emui 8 8.0.0.046 version when i use it with genuine Prague firmware and i feel tutorials about this phone are now obsolete to be relevant
With that in mind, i am reluctant to follow the @AltairFR tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ineage-18-1-for-huawei-device-emui-8.4371629/
I fear the phone is going to loop endlessly once newly flashed with LINEAGEOS LeaOS-20230112-iceows-pra.7z
Could you please give me more ideas to prepare my flash worryless ?
I am running PRA-LX1 8.0.0.366(C530) I restored via Huawei eRecovery (cf pictures)
Could you give me more steps (like updating to C432 firmly) please ?
Thank you.
