Does anyone have a backup of the stock kernel for the 5G version? I tried out blu and I don't think it's reacting well with my device, but I completely forgot to take a backup of the kernel before flashing it.
If necessary, I'll MSM, but was hoping to just reflash back to the stock kernel to fix my issues.
Thanks all!

Totally didn't even think that would fix it. I had it in my head that the boot.img was separate from the kernel.
Will try this! Thank you!

This is for all the devs using my kernel in their roms.
This is the same as my last kernel with Zanfur's OC patches included.
The attached file is *JUST* the kernel, you can't flash it in recovery.
This kernel now also has the Latest .316 BFS Scheduler(thanks to Decad3nce's backport) and EXT4 support.
If you like my work, think about donating to my coffee fund.
Great work!
I will try it.

The problem is the ramdisks are different for each ROM, so it'll need to be combined with the ramdisk for that build.
You can flash it with fastboot though over your already installed rom.

thanks for the quick answer. I saw with the last rev of your kernel there was a link for a flashable, that why i asked. i wanted to flash over darchstar's kernel in cyanogen, see if there was any improvements. i"ll try the fastboot maybe tonight.
again thanks

I tried to flash the imgage through fast boot (I did rename the img to PB00IMG.zip) and I got the blue progress bar on the right side like it was flashing, but when I went to see if the kernal took, it did not replace darchstars kernal. Any thoughts?

He is working on a new release, it's better to wait for it, but if you insist, here is a link to the current release
http://www.mediafire.com/?4crbdo338xzh4zh
And don't forget to read the notes he wrote:
Please upgrade even if you're happy with a prior version as there are some prospective issues with continuous debuggerd restart on prior versions which can result in your phone doing more work than necessary.
It is recommended to uninstall a prior version by flashing the attached uninstall ZIP before flashing the latest version.

I think its best to stick with the simple 1. The haveged & the move random to urandom. That seems harmless to all.
Thanks for suggesting. It gav me the idea.

1) .79 is the newest FW.
2) I don't have knowledge about governers, so I just set the same settings that I read in members' signatures. :cyclops:

It was not that i dint know it. nut xda didnt allow me to post there before completing 10 postings. so i had to achieve the 10.
Hello xda.
I installed Cyanogenmod on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 today with no problems at all, however I've found something that seems a bit weird. (I know there is supposed to be bugs in nightlies, of course, but I thought i'd ask anyway.)
In the performance settings of the tab, it keeps the minimum CPU frequency to 1190mhz. If I put it to 300mhz, it will work, but as soon as I exit out of the performance tab, it goes back to 1190mhz. I figured that my phone was quite hot when I didn't use it, and that's how I found out.
Have anyone seen this on the latest CM11 nightly for the Note 3? I hope somebody out there know how I can fix it.
Many thanks.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
I've heard a little about kernels. The thing is, that this is the first time I've ever put a custom rom on an android device, so I'm not really 100% familiar with all this yet, however if the custom kernel won't be able to brick my phone, I sure would give that a try.
Should I go with the "stable" version or the beta version of the kernel?
