Galaxy Samsung T530nu - Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have rooted Phones in the past but I have never gone down this path.
My device Samsung T530nu is currently running 5.0.2.
I wanted to set up the Device to monitor and control my Smart home items instead of buying a new Device but I need to be running 8.0 Android or Newer for the applications to work.
I'm wondering if I have any options on this front?

Issue connecting to YoCam device (wifi issue?) with 6P, other android devices connect

So my YoCam camera arrived, and excited to receive my new kickstarter toy, I tried to connect it to my phone following the basic instructions.
Phone sees and connects to the device via wireless, but the app refuses to connect. However using other android phones will allow me to connect to the camera, using exactly the same process., so it does not appear at least at a basic level, an android or an app issue.
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions, or can suggest some troubleshooting tools so i can get a better view of what is going on.
Thanks
Hi, Not that this helps: I have exactly the same but on a Samsung Note 3 running cyanogenmod 6.0.1. When connecting to my Samsung tab S2 with standard Android no problem.
Are you running a alternative rom on your phone or standard?

Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 Smart View

Hello all.
We have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. We have written an interactive game and the content is shared to a television screen via Samsung Smart View. The only issue is that the Smart View icon still appears on the tablet (to confirm it's still connected to the television). This is an issue as the users keep pressing it and of course, this disconnects the tablet from the television. Is there a way to remove the Smart View icon from the screen, whilst still being able to connect to the television screen.
All help will be greatly appreciated. (Oh, we are based in the UK)
Thanks!

Galaxy s8 and new dex pc app

Hello, wonderful community! Was wondering if it's currently possible to use the new Samsung DEX Windows 10 app and an unrooted T-mobile Galaxy S8 with Android P, One UI 1.0, and a USB cable?

Was also looking for a solution to make my Galaxy S8+ to work with my Windows 10 laptop too.
Hi!
Sadly, Dex for PC is not compatible with our Galaxy S8. I think it is rude to make it only available for Android 10+, as the Galaxy S8 will not receive that update. So, there are only a few options you guys can try:
1. Wait for someone to make a One UI 2.0 Rom based on Android 10 (which I think wont take long from now on)
2. Buy a Dex Station/Dex Pad/ HDMI to USB-C Cable and connect it to a monitor to use DeX
3. Switch to a Galaxy S9/S10/S20 (would not recommend that, if it is only for DeX)
4. Try SideSync or another application if you only want to mirror your phone screen on a PC

Why Does My SM-T500 (2020, 10.4") Think It's A Phone

I just purchase the above Galaxy Tab A7 and notice that Samsung has installed a phone OS on it. It's Android 10, One UI Core Version 2.5. For example, when I installed Authy, the app immediately asked for my mobile number because it sees the tablet as a phone. Other apps behave similarly.
I mean, I really know that it's a WiFi only tablet but is there any way to change the OS or is this just Samsung stupidity?
It is a feature that is added in the event that you have a Samsung Galaxy phone so you can make calls/texts from the tablet once it's I'm assuming paired to said device. Much like Ipads and Iphones. I don't have a Samsung phone so I don't use it.

Is it possible to install Windows on the Android YB1-X90F?

Hey all,
I just got two Lenovo Yoga Book tablets, both are YB1-X90F models. One is dead (no power at all) and the other has a broken keyboard. My plan is to carry the (presumably) functional keyboard to the otherwise functioning tablet, and go from there.
I've seen these running Windows 10 and Android respectively. According to the specs I can see from the device itself in cpu-z as well as the internet searching that I have conducted, it appears as if the Android tablet uses an Intel CPU. My question then, is whether or not it is possible to simply install windows 10 on this thing? I would assume that it would be impossible because of the different bootloaders, but perhaps I'm wrong?
Alternatively, is there a newer ROM I could install on it to make it more secure and usable in 2022?
TIA
