Hello all.
We have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. We have written an interactive game and the content is shared to a television screen via Samsung Smart View. The only issue is that the Smart View icon still appears on the tablet (to confirm it's still connected to the television). This is an issue as the users keep pressing it and of course, this disconnects the tablet from the television. Is there a way to remove the Smart View icon from the screen, whilst still being able to connect to the television screen.
All help will be greatly appreciated. (Oh, we are based in the UK)
Thanks!

So I have my Huawei P8 Lite, Build no. ALE-L21C432B170 with Kernel 3.10.61-ga9763c9; and a Samsung Series 6 Smart Tv.
The Multi-display shortcut thingy does not find the TV automatically. Through wifi direct I can connect my phone with the TV. Then run again the Multi-display thingy, the Tv's Wifi Direct name shows up, I press it, the TV goes into "Loading" - status and remains there yet the telephone signals that connection failed.
Tried it with an Allview P5Life, a far weaker device, yet with a single button press I could establish screen sharing, without having to mess around in Wifi Direct.
Can somebody confirm that the Huawei P8 Lite devices are not compatible with Samsung Series 6 Smart Tvs or that I need to do additional settings before being able to share screen?
P.S.: As I recall correctly I even tried sharing screen with an other brand Tv but without success. Need Help.
I have not been able to find the answer. Looking seriously at this tablet but would like to cast shows or movies to my TV at home or in hotels without WiFi. I do this from my S7. I would like this in a tablet as it can hold a lot of movies. I can't find if it supports WiFi direct or miracast. TiA.
WiFi Direct
tap WiFi under Settings
I've still had no luck with Miracast. I agree with you that Samsung (Tab S2) does a much better job in enable Miracast right in the quick notification bar.

Miracast Fixed
Update: after spending a few hours looking into the settings. I successfully shared my screen and sound on my Smart TV.
Setting - Advanced Setting - MirrorShare
After tapping to select your target device, you can enjoy the content on a bigger screen. There's a noticeable lag compared to my Samsung tablet but the quality's alright. Its onboard sound chip sounds amazing though.

How do I enable miracast on the Galaxy S2 Tab? It's been driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

Worked for me on a Samsung Smart TV:
-Settings
-Smart assistance ( it's the small hand)
- Mirrorshare (under Ogthers)
I searched in most forums on internet in how can I activate Screen Mirroring on Galaxy A5 2016 but no success in my search but I know which is possible cuz in most ROMs this function exists and are working like a charm. Can anyone help me on that?
A5 2016 doesn't support screen mirroring.
Both A5 2016 and A5 2017 does support screen mirroring. Simply drop the upper menu down ( where you can see your WiFi and other main functions ) and drop again to see more functions. You should see a smart view function. Simply turn this on to the right. I use 4500 Samsung tv to mirror the image. Make sure the tv and phone are on the same Wi Fi network.

I not sure where you see smart view button.
I am interested in buying the tab A 10.1 2916 (t585) but I haven't clearly found yet if it has the ability to connect to TVs and devices without cables.
For example, I can connect my Samsung Note 5 to LG, Samsung tvs and so on, without any cables. My phone scans the area for compatible TVs and I can "quick connect", and either send my screen to the TV or view the TV on my phone.
Is this feature available on the Tab A 2016 t585?
Thank you

All Tab As has Quick Connect previous known as Screen Mirroring. In order to use Quick Connect without wireless HDMI adapter, your TV must be a Smart TV.
Thank you!
Is "quick connect" the same with "smart view" ?
Smart View is not the same as Quick Connect

Quick Connect only streams your tablet display to TV and nothing else
Hi,
I just bought the "Smart Tab M10 Plus TB-X606FA" and want to access the smart dock of the tablet via "vanilla bluetooth", but both, my mobile phone (Samsung Note 10) and my laptop Computer (Manjaro/KDE), deny access.
The laptop connects, but I do not see any audio profile. Do these smart docks not work as normal speakers at all? I am not going to use Siri, Alexa or whatever external microphone im my home ;-) Does anybody know, if there is any open source driver, to access the dock?
Furthermore, I am wondering, if there is already a developmet ongoing to get LinageOS running on the tablet?
Thanks
